Marvel: Umbrella Corporation-Chapter 174: Fierce Battle
Chapter 174 - Fierce Battle
Ten kilometers away, as the tornado descended, a towering figure—over three meters tall and entirely made of metal—emerged from the swirling vortex.
William frowned in confusion.
"Is this one of the boss's new creations? Or some new toy from Stark Industries or Hammer Industries?"
At present, only Umbrella, Stark Industries, and Hammer Industries were capable of developing powered suits, so his suspicion was understandable.
But in the next second, the Destroyer's faceplate slid open. A bright glow flared from within, and a powerful energy blast shot forward.
William barely dodged in time.

*BOOM!*
The blast struck a nearby car, setting off a massive explosion.
The onlookers' expressions changed instantly. It was clear now—this thing was not friendly.
William didn't have time to don his own armor. Instead, his body expanded as he entered his Tyrant form, then lunged at the metal giant.
"Die!"
The Destroyer remained unfazed. It simply raised a hand, caught William by the throat, and unleashed another energy blast.
*Szzzt!*
William twisted his head at the last moment, narrowly avoiding a direct hit to his skull. But his shoulder was scorched badly, smoke rising from the charred flesh.
"ARGH!"
With a furious roar, William's body swelled further as he transformed into his second stage.
At that moment, Psylocke arrived in her combat mech, wielding an energy blade. She slashed down fiercely.
*CLANG!*
Inside the mech, Psylocke's hands went numb from the impact.
Her eyes widened in shock.
She was inside a high-powered exosuit, yet she felt the vibration as if she had hit solid steel barehanded.
Before she could react, the Destroyer swatted her aside with a casual backhand.
The other members of the Omicron Squad rushed forward in support. But the Destroyer batted them away like flies, its energy beams cutting down several in an instant.
As the carnage continued, William managed to wrench himself free and tried to strike back.
But even in his second form, he was still outclassed in strength, speed, and defense. He could barely scratch the monster.
Meanwhile, the other operatives opened fire with electromagnetic rifles.
*Rat-a-tat-tat!*
The bullets struck the Destroyer's body—only to bounce off harmlessly, leaving no mark at all.
Then, from above, a massive figure dropped into the battlefield, slamming a powerful punch into the Destroyer's back.
It was Abomination.
He had entered his second mutation phase—covered in jagged spikes, his monstrous form radiated raw power.
"RAAHHH!" he roared.
But the Destroyer barely flinched. It turned, delivered a single punch, and sent Abomination flying. Then its faceplate opened again, unleashing another deadly energy beam.
From the distance, William spotted a new group approaching.
Frank had arrived with the Alpha Squad.

Meanwhile, in Puente Antiguo~
Thor sensed the Destroyer's presence.
"It's the guardian of Odin's Vault," he said grimly. "Loki must have sent it here."
Sif and the Warriors Three immediately drew their weapons.
Thor turned to Jane. "You need to leave. Now."
Jane hesitated. "What about you?"
"I'm staying to fight."
Vostagg grinned proudly. "Thor fights by our side, as always!"
But Thor's expression turned awkward, "My friends... I have lost my powers. I am just a mortal now."
The Warriors Three were stunned.
Thor continued, "If I fight, I'll only be a burden. But I can help the townspeople evacuate to safety."
It was the best option he could think of. Running away would disappoint his friends. Fighting would get him killed instantly. But staying behind to assist civilians? That was acceptable.
Jane, however, was unwilling to leave him.
"If you're staying, then I'm staying."
They had barely shared three days of happiness—she couldn't bear to part with him so soon.
Thor looked at her determined expression but said nothing. Instead, he gestured to the crowd.
"Then help me get them to safety."
And so, while Thor, Jane, and her friends helped the townspeople evacuate, Sif and the Warriors Three remained behind.
But they waited... and waited...
Yet the Destroyer never came.
"What's going on?" Fandral frowned. "Is it not here to kill Thor?"
"Maybe it's just a warning?"
"Impossible. Loki must have a plan."
"What do we do now?"
By now, the townspeople had been convinced to take shelter in safer areas.
But since no attack had come, some were beginning to sneak back, curious about what was happening.
Sif made a decision.
"We go check it out."
The Warriors Three nodded in agreement.
Thor watched as his friends left town, a troubled look on his face, "Could it be... Loki doesn't want to kill me?"
At that moment—
*BOOM!*
A massive explosion shook the ground, even from ten kilometers away.

Back at the battlefield~
Frank surveyed the burning landscape, then glanced at his 'secret weapon.' His expression darkened.
"That hydrogen-oxygen bomb cost me a million dollars..."
But as he gazed at the flaming wreckage of the Destroyer, he decided it was worth the price. This thing was the toughest, most dangerous enemy he had ever faced.
'Except for the boss, of course.'
"Alright, start tending to the wounded—"
He froze mid-sentence.
His jaw dropped.
Inside the inferno, the Destroyer's shattered form began to reconstruct itself. The molten metal reshaped and reformed until it was whole again.
"Jesus Christ..." Frank muttered. "That's a first—never seen a robot that can heal itself."
Not far away, William was just as shocked, "Dammit... is this thing unkillable?"
Psylocke landed beside him. "Orders?"
"Did the boss give us new instructions?"
"None yet."
"Then we keep fighting."
And so, the battle resumed. Minutes later, Sif and the Warriors Three arrived at the scene.
What they saw left them stunned.
The Destroyer rampaged across the battlefield, its attacks devastating everything in its path.
And though its enemies fought back, they could barely slow it down.
Sif's expression darkened.
"The Destroyer was crafted by the greatest dwarven smiths, enchanted by the most powerful sorcerers, and fueled by Asgardian divine power. They will never defeat it like this."
"But their strength is impressive," Fandral noted.
Sif shook her head. "We cannot stand by and let innocents die because of us."
With that, the Asgardians charged into battle.
