Marvel : I'm in Westview Town-Chapter 139: Strange Energy Fluctuations!

In the following period of time, Finn and the others chose to stay here.

In addition, the earlier energy fluctuations had already reappeared, and with a brief calm in between, the best course of action now was to wait.

"You guys should stay here for a while—there are plenty of empty rooms," Valkyrie said to the group.

"That's also a good choice," Stephen Strange nodded. After all, there wasn't much they could do at the moment.

"The last time you went to deal with that issue... what happened with Gorr?" Finn asked suddenly, his eyes falling on Thor and the others. After all, they had gone to face a particularly difficult threat.

And with Gorr in possession of the Necrosword, how exactly had they managed to save the children?

That made him curious.

"We went over there and found that Gorr hadn't harmed the children. At the time, I guessed it wasn't them he was planning to use for the transformation," Valkyrie said, her eyes firm and certain.

"That's true. But when we arrived, it disrupted his plan. Fortunately, we were able to rescue the children in the end," Thor added.

He still vividly remembered that incident—etched in his mind like the crash of waves against stone.

"What was his purpose?" asked the Dark Witch, curiosity flickering across her expression.

"His purpose was simple. It was for his daughter," Finn explained calmly. "He wanted to obtain Stormbreaker so that he could open the Eternity Gate and plead for power."

Finn had learned all this during their earlier encounters.

That's why he'd wanted to take action back then—to disrupt Gorr's plan. Because if it succeeded, the consequences could be catastrophic.

"I see. That's why he was so desperate to find me," Thor muttered, falling into thought. Valkyrie had already explained the general situation to him, but not the deeper reasons. Now it all made sense.

And thinking about it, it was easy to understand Gorr's motives.

To save his own daughter... Thor believed any father would do the same—no matter the cost.

The group fell into a contemplative silence. The incident had brought unspeakable destruction to all of New Asgard. Though the people had ultimately recovered, the trauma ran deep—etched in their hearts in ways that time could not easily erase.

"Finn—"

Thor began to speak, but before he could finish, the entire space was overtaken by a sudden, violent surge of energy—far more intense than before.

"This energy fluctuation is too strong. Let's go outside and take a look!" Stephen immediately stood up, leading the group outside.

At that moment, all of Asgard had turned pitch black—completely devoid of light. Even the stars in the night sky had vanished.

"What the hell is going on?" Thor muttered, face darkening.

He had doubted the arrival of other gods before. But this energy was too potent—even causing his instincts to falter.

This was serious. If they didn't get to the bottom of it soon, the consequences could be enormous.

"I don't know... I'll check it out," Finn said, his voice low and rough.

He immediately transformed into a vortex of black energy and shot into the sky. The others followed closely behind.

Waves of silver lightning now streaked across the sky—brighter than any storm Thor had ever summoned with Mjolnir. The energy was massive, laced with a terrifying pressure. Its very presence sent shivers down spines and sparked a primal fear.

The clouds had completely vanished at some point. Now, the sky looked like a bottomless pit—silent, starless, and suffocating. The world was swallowed in gloom, as if perched on the edge of some abyss.

BOOM!!

A massive battle aura blanketed all of Asgard.

When the group arrived, they found the entire region drenched in utter darkness—as if black had consumed all color and light.

"Finn, do you know what's going on here?" Stephen asked, his tone serious as he looked toward him.

Originally, it had just been a strange energy fluctuation. He'd intended to intervene before it erupted, but things had spiraled far beyond what he expected.

"I don't know much about it either," Finn replied, shaking his head. "This didn't happen in any of the timelines I remember."

Then, in the sky, a faint silver crack began to spread—it was slowly opening.

"Look over there!!" Peter Parker shouted, his Spider-Sense going off.

He pointed toward the growing rift. Everyone turned to see black and white energy twisting together, like a violent collision of opposites. A foreboding, apocalyptic energy pulsed from the rift as raw power seeped out uncontrollably.

"This isn't good. If that power spreads here, then all of Asgard could be obliterated!!" Thor's expression changed drastically. He seemed to realize something horrifying.

Without hesitation, he shot toward the opening rift, summoning his full armor and weaponry in mid-flight.

The rest of the group quickly followed suit—donning their newest gear and preparing for the unknown.

Valkyrie, however, stayed behind.

As queen of New Asgard, she had to remain. Someone had to protect the people.

Only by doing so could they ensure the survival of this realm. If anything went wrong, the damage would be irreversible.

That was why she volunteered to stay.

"I just hope they succeed. Otherwise... this could be the end," Valkyrie murmured to herself.

Worry etched her face, but she didn't linger on it. She turned and walked away.

On the other side—

As the team passed through the rift, the surrounding space slowly began to close, as if it had opened just to lure them in.

And now it was sealing them in.

But none of them knew what awaited inside.

After a moment—

Finn and the others emerged in a new space. It looked like a futuristic metropolis, gleaming with advanced technology.

But strangely, it was devoid of sound—there was no chaos, no chatter, just vast stretches of eerie calm.

"What the hell is going on here?" the Dark Witch asked, her brow furrowed.

The place felt... familiar. Almost too familiar.
