Marvel : I'm in Westview Town-Chapter 136 : Kingpin Ambitions
Chapter 136 - 136 : Kingpin Ambitions
Under Finn's forced questioning, the captured men finally confessed everything.
It turned out that although Kingpin was the gang leader of all New York, his ambitions stretched far beyond that. He wanted to devour the entire United States, taking control piece by piece until it all belonged to him.
To reach that level of dominance, they had to conduct organized robberies and crimes across various smaller regions. The logic was simple and terrifying—once America lost the core of its economic stability, the nation's ability to resist the gang's offensive would collapse entirely.
That's why, during this recent surge in robberies and crimes, they received coordinated orders from above. Each move was calculated to push the country closer to economic ruin.
Now fully understanding the scope of this operation, Finn's expression darkened. He hadn't expected that while he was quietly enacting his plans, the other side was already executing a masterstroke of their own.
It seemed he had still underestimated Wilson Fisk—Kingpin of New York.
"Brother, can you let us go? We swear we'll never do anything like this again."
"Yeah, please. If you let us go, we'll go back, clean up our act, and stay out of trouble for good."
The captured men begged for mercy again, dropping to their knees and almost smashing their foreheads on the floor as they kowtowed, desperate to survive.
But Finn paid no attention to their pleas. They had made their choices—and now it was time to pay the price.
With a mere twist of his hands, he ended their lives on the spot. Their bodies dropped to the floor, cold and lifeless.
"Kingpin's ambitions are so damn big. Looks like I'll have to adjust my own plans," Finn muttered grimly.
It was already late. Then he suddenly remembered—the two witches were still back at the hotel. Without wasting another moment, he turned and walked away, leaving the scene behind.
If someone discovered the bodies later, no one would trace it back to him.
Back at the hotel.
The two witches were already fast asleep. A faint scent hung in the air, a mix of their natural body fragrance and the softness of slumber. It gave the whole room a strange sense of warmth.
"They fell asleep so fast. I was only out for a little while," Finn said to himself upon entering.
He cleaned up briefly and set down the snacks he had picked up on his way back, placing them neatly on the table.
Then, stepping onto the balcony, he slowly sat down, closing the window behind him. He took in the glowing cityscape of New York, with a drink in one hand and snacks beside him.
"Hopefully, things with Thor have been handled properly by now."
Finn muttered to himself, downing another bottle of wine.
But at that moment—
A ripple of spatial energy flared nearby.
Finn immediately sensed the disturbance. He stood up slowly, eyes narrowing as he looked out into the night.
A golden vortex swirled into view—and a figure stepped through.
Stephen Strange.
"Why are you here again?" Finn asked, frowning slightly.
"I came to tell you... the Nightmare incident is over. But we've sensed a new energy—something powerful. It feels like the aura of a god."
Finn's brows furrowed in confusion. "Then why not deal with it yourselves?"
"We need your help."
Stephen's expression was serious. He hadn't wanted to ask Finn again so soon, but the situation had grown too urgent. This wasn't just another magical anomaly—this was the breath of something divine.
They tried investigating it themselves, but their power wasn't enough.
Reluctantly, they turned to Finn.
"You dare treat me like your backup?" Finn scoffed, waving his hand dismissively. "Not this time. Don't expect me to help."
Stephen hesitated, then sighed. "Alright. I understand."
There was disappointment in his eyes. With Finn's level of strength, this should've been something that intrigued him. But things clearly hadn't gone as expected.
Stephen left.
Finn sat back down, lost in thought. He was curious about gods—but at the moment, he wasn't especially motivated.
Right now, he only cared about preparing for the mysterious figure set to appear in a few months. That took priority over anything else.
Five days passed.
During that time, Finn and the two witches visited numerous places. They rode roller coasters, revisiting the joyful thrill of it all. The excitement was real, and it made them feel alive again.
The witches, especially, were glowing with joy—physically and emotionally.
Because the weather was scorching, they even hit the swimming pool.
That was a highlight for Finn.
Both witches had incredible figures, and their swimsuits left little to the imagination, hugging every perfect curve. The visual experience alone was enough to send a thrill through him.
They also tried bumper cars, crashing into each other with such ferocity that one of the cars nearly broke down.
After that, they decided to call it quits on that front.
Time moved forward.
Eventually, Finn returned to Westview Town, carrying all the supplies and souvenirs he'd bought.
Back home, the air was filled with a pleasant fragrance—perhaps from the flowers, perhaps from the familiar comfort of the place. The witches looked utterly content, intoxicated by the peace.
"You two need to calm down. Don't get so carried away. Be a little more reserved, for crying out loud," Finn teased, half-laughing.
Their expressions were too over-the-top.
"Go handle your own business. I'll cook tonight."
Finn smiled, waving them off. Even a powerhouse like him couldn't skip meals.
Over the next two weeks, the three of them lived comfortably. It felt like returning to a simpler, quieter time.
But they didn't slack off on power development either. The mysterious figure's arrival loomed just months away, and that threat couldn't be ignored.
The two witches alternated between watching movies and studying the Darkhold. Their focus was impressive.
Finn joined them for movies and reading too, but in his free time, he experimented with new magical techniques and theory crafting.
The progress wasn't massive, but it was noticeable.
Then came the next day.
The three of them were enjoying a quiet movie session in the room.
Suddenly, a knock echoed from the front door.
"Who is it now?" one of the witches muttered, annoyed. Last time it had been Stephen. Could it be him again?
"Let's just check," Finn said, standing up and moving toward the door.
The two witches slipped on their shoes and followed behind him.
He opened the door.
Standing there were three familiar faces: Doctor Stephen Strange, Wong, and—surprisingly—Peter Parker, aka Spider-Man.
"Oh, it's you guys again?" one of the witches said with a raised brow.
"Come on, don't say it like that. Technically, this is our first visit here," Wong replied smoothly, glancing at Peter.
The young web-slinger quickly nodded. "Yeah, totally. So... what do you say? You gonna let us in, or what? We're friends, right?"
