Chapter 534: Chapter 534: Take Action

Feng Ye lifted his head, and his face smothered with weeds appeared abruptly before everyone, with two stems sticking out of his nostrils.

"Pfft! Hahaha! I’m dying of laughter!"

Jiang Qi was the first one to clutch his stomach and burst into laughter.

Sorry, brother, but this is simply too funny!

Because of the dew, the grass was somewhat wet, and Feng Ye’s face and head were covered with a fair amount of weeds, making him look a bit like a beggar.

Feng Ye grimaced, plucking the weeds from his face and head, his eyes filled with a resentful look akin to a little wronged wife.

"Alright, you two get on with the task at hand, we’ll go hide now."

Everybody’s expressions became serious, and they immediately headed towards the woods; they had already set things up there the previous night, so hiding a few people wouldn’t be a problem.

**

Early in the morning, Ji Wenjun got out of bed, first watering the flowers in the garden, and then prepared her pruning tools.

"Hurry up, hurry up, put these all in the trunk. Where are Uncle Fu and Yaoyao?"

Ji Wenjun, seeing that everything had been packed into the trunk, turned her head towards Uncle Fu standing by her side.

Uncle Fu spoke respectfully, "The master is still in the study; perhaps he’s been delayed by something."

"Hmph, Yaoyao doesn’t stick to the schedule. We agreed to meet at the hotel, and now it’s already ten minutes past!" Ji Wenjun spoke with a hint of anger.

She was eager to see her daughter and didn’t want to wait for even a second!

"Here’s what we’ll do, Uncle Fu you go with me first, and have him follow later!"

"This..." Uncle Fu seemed troubled and glanced towards the entrance, hesitatingly said, "Madam, perhaps we should wait for the master; things have been unsafe outside recently..."

"Oh come on, how could it be unsafe? I haven’t seen a stranger here for a whole year. I’m just going to check on how my flowers are blooming. With so many people protecting me, nothing will happen!"

"Uncle Fu, please, come with me!"

Ji Wenjun cooed playfully, and Uncle Fu really had no way to deal with her.

When the lady became stubborn, even the master could not do anything about it.

"Very well, I’ll go inform the master." Uncle Fu said, as he walked inside.

Ji Wenjun waited briefly, yet still didn’t see him coming down, stomping her foot in urgency, "I won’t wait anymore, you guys come with me!"

She addressed the underlings beside her.

"But, madam... neither Uncle Fu nor the master have come down yet... we..."

"What’s there to be afraid of, if anything happens, I’ll protect you all!" Ji Wenjun patted her chest.

The underlings had troubled looks on their faces; they could talk big, but...

They also knew the master’s temper; if anything happened to the madam, they couldn’t bear the responsibility!

"Are you coming or not? If you don’t, I’ll let Guai Guai bite you!" Ji Wenjun grew impatient, petting the adorable creature squatting by her feet, determined not to let anyone stop her from seeing her daughter!

"Awoo!" Guai Guai let out a long howl, excitedly looking at the group of people.

They paled, cold sweat breaking out on their foreheads.

"We’ll go, we’ll follow madam’s orders."

Only then did Ji Wenjun show a satisfied look, arrogantly averting her gaze.

As expected, Guai Guai was useful!

Guai Guai was a wolf she had raised, with snow-white fur that was extremely beautiful!

However, Yaoyao said it was very fierce, so he kept it locked in the backyard.

She always took Guai Guai along when she went out to play, as it would protect her safety!

"Guai Guai, you are also a mother, what do you think your cub looks like?"

Ji Wenjun sat in the back seat, stroking the large wolf lying on her lap.

"Awoo~" Guai Guai let out a low whimper, seemingly a little sad.

"Don’t be sad, Guai Guai, we will find your child," comforted Ji Wenjun.

Guai Guai’s cub had been stolen, and it had been found at the castle’s entrance, injured and on the brink of death; she had saved it.

After that, it had followed her everywhere, obeying no one’s words but hers.

Guai Guai extended its tongue and licked the back of Ji Wenjun’s hand.

The car smoothly continued along the driveway.

"Everybody, be on the lookout, there’s an approaching vehicle, it’s your turn to get into position, Mo Fan!"

Yun Yue spotted five cars driving towards them from a distance.

"Okay, boss," Mo Fan’s lips curled up slightly.

She and Feng Ye were still arguing in the same patch of flowers as before!

"You were supposed to fill up the tank, fill it up! It’s lucky there aren’t any wolves here, or we would have been eaten by now!"

"Awooo!"

Just after Mo Fan finished speaking, a genuine wolf howl was heard.

"?!!!"

"Holy shit, there really are wolves here!"

Feng Ye looked around in shock, only seeing cars approaching from afar but no wolves in sight.

Mo Fan also heard it.

The car slowly came to a stop in their lane.

A group of men in black, armed with guns, got out and surrounded the two of them.

Feng Ye looked at the weapons in the hands of these men in black, MP5s!

Who on earth were these people?!

The two of them went pale with fear, stopped arguing, and raised their hands, starting to speak in a panic.

"Spare us, please! We’re just a couple traveling here, decent people..."

The two were so scared that their legs were shaking.

"My flowers!" Ji Wenjun pulled Guai Guai out of the car and, seeing the trampled plants, pinched her face in distress.

"You..." Just as Ji Wenjun was about to get angry, she saw Mo Fan’s face and her lively eyes flickered.

"Um... sorry about this, this place is just so beautiful that my girlfriend and I couldn’t help ourselves... you know how it is..." Feng Ye said with a cheeky grin.

Mo Fan forced a smile, unable to hide the murderous look in his eyes.

He sure had a way with words!

The black-clad bodyguards all showed expressions that said ’I get it’.

Ji Wenjun looked puzzled: "I don’t understand!"

"..."

"Ma’am, these matters are embarrassing; there’s no need for you to understand," Da Yi said somewhat sheepishly, then turned to Mo Fan and the other, "You two sure know how to have fun."

His gaze drifted across Mo Fan, envying, "You seem to have quite the luck with ladies."

"That’s right, that’s right..." Feng Ye chuckled.

As if I’d let you ogle my woman!

I’ll send you to meet King Yan soon!

"Awooo!"

Suddenly, a fierce look came over the little Snow Wolf at Ji Wenjun’s feet, baring its fangs at the two men.

Feng Ye and Mo Fan both gulped.

They had never expected Ji Wenjun to have such a pure Snow Wolf by her side!

It must have sensed the many people around and thus was showing such aggression.

"Could you please let us go? We just thought this place was beautiful; we never imagined we would run out of gas and had to spend the night here. If you planted these flowers, tell us how much they cost, we’ll compensate you..."

Feng Ye almost screamed when he saw Ji Wenjun’s face!

Lucky his nerves were strong, or he would have screamed out loud!

This woman looked exactly like Aunt Wen Jun!

That is, Yun Yue’s mother!

The spitting image of Yun Yue!

"Guai Guai, be good," Ji Wenjun soothed the wolf at her feet, figuring it must be acting out because it hadn’t seen strangers before.

True to her words, it sat down obediently, but its sharp and ferocious gaze still fixed on a certain spot.

"Let it go, let it go, it’s only a small patch anyway; it’ll grow back after a while. I won’t hold it against you guys," Ji Wenjun waved it off and ordered the bodyguards behind her, "Go get the tools from the trunk."

"Yes," Da Yi motioned to the men behind him, several of them went to get tools, and the rest stood close to her, not leaving her side.

"Boss, should we make a move?" Hidden in the shadows, Xiao Bai watched the situation through the binoculars, ready to take out these bodyguards at her command in the fastest speed possible.

Yun Yue was about to say ’wait a bit longer,’ as it was not yet the best time to act, but then she heard Xiangcai’s voice and her expression shifted.

"Strike now!"
