Legendary FBI Detective-Chapter 176: Double Kill and Successful Arrest of Jorgen Landry
Luo An, Detective Walton, and several SWAT members hadn't walked far when they spotted the gray pickup truck.
The gray pickup had crashed into a tree, its front end deeply dented, and the windshield shattered across the ground.
Walton cautiously approached the gray pickup with a guarded stance and, upon finding it empty, muttered a few curses under his breath.
On the other side, Luo An carefully searched the interior of the gray pickup and then looked very disturbed.
Because he did not find the launcher tube for the rocket launcher inside.
"Attention all units!"
Luo An took out his communicator from his pocket and spoke with a solemn expression:
"The enemy has a rocket launcher tube; exercise extreme caution!"
"Roger that!"
Hearing Luo An's warning, every member of the search teams in the woods changed their expression, became more focused, and the atmosphere grew tenser.
The detective crossed the gray pickup and continued a few steps forward when he suddenly realized Luo An wasn't following and quickly turned back to ask in a low voice:
"What's wrong, Luo An? Did you find something?"
Luo An looked at the gray pickup and then at the ground around it, falling silent for a while before suddenly looking up to ask:
"Walton, are you familiar with this forest? Are there any rivers or small trails in it?"
Walton's home wasn't far from here, and after hearing Luo An's question, he thought for a moment and replied softly:
"North from here indeed, there is a river that eventually flows into the Long Island Strait."
After listening to Walton's descriptions, Luo An's brow furrowed, and he took out his communicator again:
"Attention all units! It's highly likely that the enemy has fled toward the river in the due north direction. Teams in the adjacent area, pay extra attention and be cautious!"
"Understood!"
Receiving a positive response from the SWAT members, Luo An put away his communicator, picked up his rifle, and ran quickly toward the north.
Seeing this, Walton hurriedly lifted his rifle to follow, but he was puzzled as to why Luo An had made such a judgment.
Hearing Walton's question, Luo An who was moving quickly, raised his eyebrows.
One reason was that he had just found some broken branches and crushed leaves that led directly to the due north direction.
The second reason was that the state of the gray pickup after crashing into the tree was off. Judging from the tire tracks on the ground, the pickup had been going very fast.
With that speed, the driver and the passengers couldn't possibly have walked away uninjured from the crash.
But there wasn't a single drop of blood in the car, the only explanation being that the four men had jumped out before the crash.
"But after the four of them jumped out, they packed up and left the scene at a very fast speed, heading straight north, so it's very likely they were prepared in advance..."
After hearing Luo An's explanation, Detective Walton following behind was full of disbelief.
Just as he was about to voice his rebuttals and questions, a burst of rifle gunfire suddenly came from not far ahead.
"Quick! Let's hurry up and support them!"
The moment the gunfire sounded, Luo An stomped on the ground and his figure instantly disappeared from Detective Walton's sight.
Detective Walton gasped in shock, not only at Luo An's speed but also because the direction of the gunfire was precisely the north!
Catching a glimpse that Detective Walton hadn't managed to keep up, Luo An's eyes shifted, and he immediately opened his system and took out a bottle of [Swift Action Potion] and drank it.
The enemy had a rocket launcher, and Luo An didn't want to be blown apart.
Seconds after the [Swift Action Potion] entered his body, Luo An's already astonishing speed increased even more.
Walton could still see Luo An just ahead of him, but in the blink of an eye, Luo An had completely vanished from his sight.
"...Fu-k! Have FBI agents become this freakishly fast now?"
Rushing through the forest at high speed, Luo An quickly arrived at the location where the SWAT and the enemy were exchanging gunfire.
Bang bang bang—
Because of the lower ground, three SWAT members were currently pinned down by enemy fire.
However, the SWAT team had not been without success, as they had already killed one long-haired Caucasian from the four-person group.
This long-haired Caucasian was now being used as a shield by a big-bearded Caucasian man, allowing bullets from the SWAT to hit the body.
Nodding at the three SWAT team members, Luo An measured the distance between the two sides and immediately took out the remaining four stun grenades from his pocket.
At the same time, another white man with a big beard pulled a rocket launcher from behind him, stood up, and laughed loudly with his mouth wide open:
"Trash, be purified by fire!
Praise Jesus, we'll meet on the Sabbath!"
Bang!
Bang!
Before he could pull the trigger, two blinding flashes of white light and explosions burst in front of Big Beard and thick eyebrows.
Seeing this, three SWAT team members quickly got up and opened fire in retaliation.
By the next second after the flashbangs exploded, Luo An had moved to the side of the enemy at lightning speed.

"Damn it, I..."
Big Beard's eyes were stinging from the white light, and he cursed loudly as he hastily tried to pull the trigger again.
Just then, he felt the military knife in his pocket being drawn out, and at the same time, a cold, emotionless male voice rang by his ear:
"You indeed should die."
Cold sweat instantly soaked Big Beard's back, and the expression on thick eyebrows' face was as though he'd seen a ghost.
Bang bang!
Bang!
Bang bang!
Bang!
Six gunshots rang out, two to the chest and one to the head; Big Beard and thick eyebrows went limp and collapsed to the ground.
Until the moment they lost consciousness, neither understood how the man who killed them managed to move to their side.
The moment both bodies hit the ground, that uncomfortable feeling all over, as if one's rear end was on fire, reappeared. Luo An didn't hesitate and immediately dove on top of Big Beard.
Puff! Puff!
Two bullets hit the ground next to Luo An, sending mud splattering across his face.
"Jorgen Landry!"
Now only one of the four-man team remained. By the time the three SWAT officers arrived to cover Luo An with gunfire, Luo An, like an enraged beast, had already charged towards the source of the shooting.
At this moment, the three SWAT officers finally grasped the speed of Luo An's movement, their eyes glazed over in disbelief.
Bang bang bang—
One after another, handgun bullets shot out from behind a mound of earth not far away, but they either hit in front of or beside Luo An's figure, with just one grazing his calf.
"Fu-k!"
Atop the hill, Jorgen Landry's eyes were filled with shock and terror. Seeing Luo An drawing closer and closer, and having run out of bullets in his handgun, he hurriedly got up, preparing to run down towards the river.
The three had been holding off the SWAT to buy him time to ready the kayak.
Now that the three were dead, Landry had no intention of dying alongside them.
The moment Landry stood up, a flash of white light suddenly struck his eyes.
Puff—
The next second, the handgun fell to the ground, a sharp pain emanated from the right wrist, and Landry looked down in agony to see Big Beard's military knife deeply embedded in his wrist.
"Ahh!"
Bang!
Just as Landry's scream had escaped his lips, Luo An fiercely knocked him down with a knee strike.
This case had caused such a stir; the main culprit Landry absolutely could not die now.
But being alive didn't mean he was going to walk into prison fit and healthy.
Using a rocket launcher to bomb the NYPD and FBI—that kind of thing hadn't happened in New York for a long time.
Landry rolled down the slope to the river bank, Luo An walked over to him, and expertly dislocated both of his arms with skillful moves.
"Tell me."
Bending down and looking at Landry's face, Luo An touched the scar near his left eye and revealed a radiant smile:
"Who exactly are you?"
