Legacy Of The Extra-Chapter 75: New Features?
Chapter 75 - New Features?
"Fuck..."
I groaned, letting myself fall on the soft mattress below me. The first day of the academy was tiring, but there was no class today, which was a saving grace.
The classes will start from the day after tomorrow. That means I have plenty of time, right?
No.
I have so much work to get done. Like getting a suit for the banquet, getting the mask of deceit, and after that, I have to call Michael. That is my schedule for the day.
Am I forgetting something? Nah.
Gods, I wish I could just fast travel by unlocking towers or synchronising with viewpoints. Makes getting around easier. Oh, well.
Well, there's a lot to do and first off...
Croft.
You said you had an update, right?
Go ahead.

"Interesting..." I murmured, looking at the blue screen. The layout of the system had changed completely, it turned exactly like the one in the game. But I still had a bone to pick.
"You finally allowed me to view my Charm, huh?" I blurted out. I can speak up without others hearing me. This is my fucking room and it has soundproofing.
Croft explained. She seemed apologetic enough, but not enough for me.
"You do know how uncomfortable I felt in public places? Not being able to figure out why some girls just won't talk to me, and averted my gaze. I just realised now that I am a fucking handsome guy!"
[Are you glossing over your race?] Dante intervened.
Wait. Half-human? What is that supposed to mean?
[It means you are half-human but also something else.]
I know that much at least! But I am half what?! Croft?!
Croft reasoned.
I pinched the bridge of my nose, trying to calm myself down. Too much information was being shoved down my throat. Only transmigration is simply not enough, huh? Wait, does that mean one of my parents is not a human?
[It is not like that, races can be genetically inherited too. Does not mean that one of your parents was an elf or a beastfolk.] Dante spelt out.
It means?
[It means that one of your ancestors, either from your mother's side or your father's side, had filled a hole of another race. Or you can say was filled by another race.]
That is both weird and understandable at the same time.
"Croft, why didn't you follow this game layout from earlier?" I asked, trying to at least make sense of the other thing, the mystery of my race can be solved later.
Croft mumbled out.
"Fine, fine. Don't cry over it."
But if the status window were like this from the beginning, my life would've lot easier. I did not have to spend a whole month trying to learn it, only for it to get replaced later on.
Keeping that aside. Croft, explain the new features. I know you made the interface like the game, but at least tell me what else has changed.
Makes sense, but that means I won't get stat points, right?
Well, not bad, I guess. The system is pretty considerate, I have to manually learn the skills and arts, not earn them by investing points in my strengths.
That means I have to do more weight training to gain muscle and strength. I can't just invest stat points in it to get more chiselled out.
Ok, move on to the next one.
A demonstration?
Lightning(Advanced Proficiency: 91%)+
Shadow(Intermediate Proficiency: 86%)+
Frostfire(None)
???(Ethan)
That is good, let me view the spells available in my lightning affinity.

Well, first of all. I am kind of disappointed in myself... These are all the lightning spells I learned in my whole seven months? Also, these are spells with short incantations suitable for classes like ArcBlades or ArcKnights.
These are the two classes that benefit from Short incantations as they also fight in close range to their opponents, unlike mages. We can also learn spells with long incantations as they are stronger, but they take double the time to complete.
Croft, what are these + on them? Are they level increases?
I see.
Croft's explanations were quite easy to follow; it was a system of hard work and reward. A few of the stuff were taken out of the game itself, such as the class system. I am, for a fact, an ArcBlade.
But there are many classes and sub-classes in the game that complement the main class. For my class, the sub-classes that can be helpful are Alchemy and Smithing for crafting powerful weapons. For mages, it is again the Alchemy and enchanting for making staves.
Croft called out to me.
What is it?
< Two New Titles acquired: Bastard of the Blitzfeld and Child Beater.>
...
"Sigh," I stood up from the bed, planting my feet on the smooth wooden flooring. "Felix is not a fucking child." My gaze swept across my new room. It was quite large, with pristine white walls with darkwood panelling.
A wooden desk sat across from me with shelves connected to it. For now, they were empty as I have to go book hunting tomorrow after selecting my subjects.
[What will you select?] Dante asked me.
You will find them out tomorrow. I stretched my arms over my head, a small yawn escaping my lips. My eyes looked towards the window with a frosted glass tone. The rays of the sun were starting to become strong.
"Is it noon, already?" I scratched my head before walking over to the wardrobe near the luxurious bed.
Opening it, I took out a simple white shirt and paired it with black trousers. Over the white shirt, I put on a simple olive overcoat that Aunt Josephine had gifted me. It was quite a good wear for a casual stroll.
I viewed myself in the mirror and fixed my unkempt hair with my hands. Moving towards the exit of the room, I opened the door, not before looking to see if I forgot anything.
Money? Check.
Weapon? Check.
Potions? Check.
"Well, it is time for some shopping and stealing, I guess."
