Legacy Of The Extra-Chapter 62: Heldenstein(2)
Chapter 62 - Heldenstein(2)
The Capital city of Kaiserhelm looked beautiful from the inside of the carriage. Houses stood tall, decorated with a layer of bricks. Different types of shops for distinct individual interests.
Attracting all kinds of crowds inside them.
The streets were busy with other Mana carriages moving, following different lanes to avoid collision with each other.
The city was bustling with a wave of positive energy that contrasted with Raiden's nightmare.
The concrete streets were not filled with corpses or rubble. And the monster that had started such a massacre was nowhere to be seen.

The interior of the carriage was nothing short of luxurious. Red cushion seats, gold linings around the edges of the windows. A glass tinted black that did not allow outsiders to look inside.
On the seats sat two figures—Both had fiery red hair and amber eyes. Both of them wore a white coat over a black shirt with a silver brooch with an Oak crown carved on it. But the difference was that one was a girl with an oval-shaped face.
While the other was a boy with a toned, muscular frame, which was not too big but noticeable to people who paid attention.
Another brooch was attached to their coat. It was carved out of what seemed like a red ruby with gold lines forming a blazing lion.
The symbol of House Emberhold.
A House that held a legacy just like the Blitzfelds.
And the only two houses to do so.
He thought to himself. His cheek resting over his palm, his eyes sweeping through the lively streets, looking at the different people that passed by. It was just a really bad nightmare, huh?
They look so happy. He smiled, his gaze following a mother and her child. The child had a cone of vanilla ice cream in one hand while the other held the mother's. The child was walking playfully, smiling mischievously as he looked at his mother.
"Hey," Someone tapped on his shoulder, bringing his attention towards the person. It was his sister—Leona Von Emberhold. They way her eyes looked at him it was as if she was concerned for him.
"Are you alright, brother? You've been gloomy since morning. It is so unlike you."
Seeing her reaction, Raiden chuckled, which made Leona furrow her brows. "What are you laughing at?"
"Nothing..." He paused before grinning widely. "Didn't know that my cursed-mouthed sister was so worried about me?"
Leona pulled her face away, embarrassed by her brother's sudden remark. "I am not worried! I-It is just that I don't want to be scolded by our mother again if something happened to you." She puffed her cheeks, making a cute reaction.
She will never change. Raiden smirked to himself, the gloom that he had surrounded himself with throughout the whole morning was shattered by his sister's cute and conflicted reaction.
"Thank you..." He finally mumbled. But the words did not reach her as she was too busy looking outside.
Suddenly, the carriage came to a halt. The carriage driver's window slid open. His grey eyes looked at the sibling duo with a sense of duty. "Young master and young miss, we have arrived at the gate."
The man closed the window. The sound of his shoe taping against concrete reached inside the carriage. The door of the carriage opened and without waiting for a second, Leona jumped out.
"Hey, wait!" Doing the same, Raiden followed behind her.
The blue sky above them stretched far and wide, with white clouds floating. But what grabbed Raiden's attention was not the beautiful blue sky but rather the structure below it.
It is huge... He thought to himself. His eyes widened at the gate that stood before him. Standing twenty feet tall, the gate was masterfully crafted. Combining both silver and gold. On both sides, made with pure gold, was the Heldenstein academy symbol of the Oak Crown.
The hero's sigil.
Students walked through it, chatting among their already known friends or the new people they had met.
A chill of excitement and at the same time—Nervousness, ran through Raiden's body. He had been excited for his new life at the academy, which would start today.
"Let's go," He said to his sister. His technically beaming like the sun, as was Leona's. They both were excited.
The two of them stepped through the gate, ogling at its design just like the other hundreds of students who passed by. All of them were wearing the same white suit with silver trims and a brooch. Identifying them as first years.
The concrete road stretched forward, its side surrounded by fountains and hedges of grass with lilies of white in them. Few benches stood on the side, giving it the vibe of a park one would casually stroll in.
"It is so beautiful," Leona remarked, her mouth wide open. A behaviour unbecoming of a Duke's daughter.
"It is," Raiden nodded in agreement.
"Where did this guy go—Kyah."
Thud.
Before Raiden could stare further, someone collided against him and fell on the ground.
He turned around to find a young woman about his age. She had beautiful brown hair and hazel eyes that looked up at him with a sorry expression. The girl wore the same uniform as him, meaning that she was a student.
Beautiful.
Raiden extended his hand towards her without uttering any words. He just stared at her, too mesmerised by her beauty. The girl took his hand, her soft palms making a jolt run through him.
"Thank you," The girl said, dusting her skirt and suit. "Sir?"
"Raiden Von Emberhold," He replied, looking at her with a polite smile. "And what is your name, miss?"
"It is Alicia, your humble lord. Thank you for giving a helping hand to this commoner." She bowed, raising the hem of her black skirt.
Raiden, clearly flushed, waved his hand in dismissal. "It is okay, Lady Alicia! It was my pleasure."
Seeing her brother's reaction, Leona narrowed her gaze on him and then on the girl who stood before. She grinned like a maniac, ready to do something stupid—
"Hey, Raiden!" A sharp voice cut through the air. Leona's brows furrowed as she refused to look in that direction.
Raiden and Alicia looked at the three figures that had just arrived on the scene. A young man with snow white hair and blue eyes. He had a handsome face with lines. He had a snobby expression on his face, just like a spoilt brat.
Alongside him was the figure of a girl who shared his features. Beautiful snow white hair, flowing gently and falling on her shoulder. She had a cold and icy expression on her face—one that screamed, 'Don't come close to me!'
These two were Frostholm Twins—Felix Von Frostholm and Cynthia Von Frostholm.
Raiden's eyes then drifted to the other figure standing with them. Blonde hair tied neatly in a ponytail. Emerald eyes that held an indifferent gaze. The girl was none other than Alea Von Blitzfeld. The youngest daughter of the house Blitzfeld, the strongest family, alongside the Emberhold.
Seeing such a domineering presence appear before her, Alicia dipped. "Then I will excuse myself." She ran away, leaving Raiden in the fantastical method of 'left on read.'
"Wait." Raiden tried to call out to her, but she left in a hurry. Ah, right, she bumped into me when she was searching for someone.
"Sir Raiden," Felix called, his voice nothing short of mocking. "You are now chasing after some random commoner? You have fallen from grace, haven't you?"
Raiden's gaze sharpened on Felix, who did not back down. Meeting it with his own intensity. Before Raiden could open his mouth to retort.
Leona followed up. "What if she is a commoner? That is none of your concern who he talks with." She paused, giving a knowing smile. "And, it is better to talk with some random person rather than talking with an abusive trash."
"What the hell did you call me?" Felix's gaze darkened, his jaw tightening at Leona's insult. "Who are you calling abusive trash, huh?"
"You!" She shot back. "You are the one who abused that poor piggy regularly." Leona pointed at Cynthia who did not seem interest at the shit her brother had stirred. "Until she stopped you."
"Yeah, yeah. What if I did abuse that flimsy bastard?" Felix retorted. "He was weak for being a fucking noble. He would've been picked on anyway!"
"Who are you two talking about?" Raiden asked, looking perplexed.
"Noah Von Blitzfeld," A reply came from behind him. Raiden turned around the face the new voice.
She had auburn hair neatly split into bangs at the middle. Her azure blue eyes were locked with Raiden, but there was a hint of darkness in them that he did not understand.
"Ah, Lady Elisabeth. How have you been?" Raiden greeted, smiling again.
"Well, I suppose." She replied, but her tone was devoid of any joy, said something else.
Everyone's gaze locked onto her. Alea, as always, remained indifferent while Felix continuously argued with Leona.
But there was a flicker of hatred in someone's eyes. It was Cynthia, she averted her gaze from Elisabeth. She clicked her tongue with annoyance as if not wanting to see the lady's face.
"Oh my, are all the duchies gathered here?"
