Chapter 81: Mission: Kiss

Alone on a private floor of one of the rocket buildings, Mei Mei looked at her virtual screen, going over the points that she had and the prices of sleeping pods. All the sleeping pods could only be acquired with points, not cash.

She had accumulated five thousand ten points and she was contemplating how to use them. The sleeping pods in the system mall had different prices and different qualities. All were from alien planets, nothing like the high tech sleeping pods sold on earth.

"System, give me the Soniferous cocoon." she tapped the pod which impressed her the most.

She considered the fact that Mingzhu would be a regular user of the sleeping pod so she picked the one which was in the all organic section. The Soniferous cocoon was a sleeping pod shaped like a leaf. According to the information provided in the system mall, it was an organic pod that was grown, not built. The veins of the leaf which pulsed with life gave off a natural fog that enveloped the sleeper, produced a melodic hum and soothed the mind.

The air inside the pod was was sweet like nectar of the somnifur flower. A taste of one drop of the nectar was enough to send the sleeper into a wonderful dreamland of their favorite places or people.

It could heal and inspire. When sleepers emerged from slumber, they would be radiant, happier, their minds refreshed and bodies filled with energy.

"Give me fifty sleeping pods."

[1000 Points deducted.]

"Host, you have four thousand ten points left, what else would you like to purchase?"

"Storage units for the campers property fifty too."

[1000 Points deducted.]

She stepped out of the room and allowed the robot butlers to set up the sleeping area. She would increase them if the number of those looking to use them increased.

"I still have three thousand points to spare." she thought to herself. "C4, I want to increase security around the camp. The Hollow is not the safest place in the empire. There will be a lot of children here all the time, their safety must be prioritized. Use as many points as you need to ensure maximum security."

[0 Points left]

"Yiii" Mei Mei squealed. "C4, what have you done? I did not say exhaust all my points. Do you know how hard it I worked hard to make those points."

C4 rolled his eyes. How hard had she worked? All she did was hug Mo Jingzhe, hold his hands and give him a few pecks. She even got bonus points for sharing a bed with him accidentally. Was there a system host in the universe that had it as easy as her?

Her missions were like taking a baby for a walk in a park;easy!

"Just go kiss Jingzhe and make some more points, what are you complaining about? Besides, you told me to use all the points I needed?"

"I was speaking figuratively." She groaned. "Don’t you know human language? When we say it’s raining cats and dogs, it does not mean that cats and dogs are actually falling from the sky out of a cloud." Again, she groaned.

She tapped the invisible virtual screen continuously, poking it as if it could somehow spit out the points it had eaten.

"If you were not morally kidnapping yourself, you would have made ten thousand points by now." C4 replied.

[Mission: Kiss Mo Jingzhe on the lips in a week.

Failure: No new points for a month.

Reward: Ten thousand points and access to the universal knowledge section of the mall.]

"I am off to work now, bye-bye." C4 vanished from the virtual screen.

Mei Mei wished she could enter the screen and drag the little fox out by its tail and spank its ass. If anyone needed to be wearing that I would like to spanked shirt, the fox was it.

She huffed and started a slow retreat out of the room. Jingzhe mad an entrance into the same room. His eyes fell on the twenty one robot butlers actively installing the sleeping pods and closets. The way they were carrying pods single-handedly with ease or using the hands to screw them in, walking on walls and doing other very robot things made it obvious that they were not human. He recognized them immediately for what they were and his eyes turned to Mei-Mei with a dozen questions.

The very first question being, where had she acquired so many robot butlers from? The second, how could she be careless to leave the door open knowing that she had robot butlers on the premises?

"Are you crazy?" he blurted out.

Mei Mei opened her mouth to respond while pondering on what to do about the situation. Owning robot butlers was illegal. If Jingzhe was a self righteous goodie two shoes, he was probably about to dial the police and rat on her.

"I can explain." she said. Raising her hands up as she approached him, she said, "A Zhe, what do you see in here?"

Mei Mei had come up with a quick plan in her mind. Kiss him, get some points and buy something from the mall to erase his memory. It was either that or putting him in a sleeping pod indefinitely because she could not stand the thought of hurting him.

Jingzhe looked at the robot butlers and he looked at her. "Nothing, I don’t see anything. But, if anyone asks, we hired some workers from Phoenix group to help us set up..." he frowned. "What are we setting up here?"

Mei Mei’s heart relaxed. They were on the same boat, A Zhe was trustworthy indeed.

"Its the sleeping room, they are helping me set up sleeping pods and closets." She explained.

"Pods! not bed?" He tilted his head and looked at the leaf shaped sleeping pods whose exteriors shimmered like a green moon had thrown up glittering moonlight all over them. "What in the world are those things?"

He closed the door firmly behind them, locking it to ensure that no one else would enter the room and he went to take a closer look at the sleeping pods.

By the time he was finished examining one of the pods, he was impressed and he had one question. "How much are these and where did you buy them?"

"Why?" she asked cautiously. This was technology that was not available on earth. If she just distributed it wantonly, wouldn’t it cause trouble for her? She was only using it in the camp because nobody could steal the pod from her, pry it apart and examine it.

"My company could use pods like these up there." He said without thinking.

"Your company?" She asked, uncertainty in her tone.
