Lady Meilin is seduced by her green tea brother-in-law everyday-Chapter 145: To text or not to text!
Chapter 145: To text or not to text!
"If Mei Mei dares to enter into such a relationship, I will erase that bastard from existence and lock her up in an mental hospital." At the imagination of such a thing happening, Chi Lian crushed the big glass that was holding the pina colada.
Muyang sat up immediately and shifted to her chair. He pulled her hand gently and looked at it. Even though he knew his wife’s strengths, he still worried about her being injured.
"How many times do I have to tell you not to be impulsive and to control your anger?" He asked her.
"I am not angry." she muttered.
Muyang laughed softly, he poked the right side of her cheek with care not to cause her hurt. "Mmm, you say that you are not angry but the glass you crushed says otherwise. Look, Mei Mei is now equipped to fight her battles. She has eyes on Mo Liang, she has started a business and she even has a new man....the little green tea you sent to distract her."
"He is not little." She mumbled.
Muyang would beg to disagree, much like his son Mingzhe.
"All I am saying is that Mei Mei will be fine. Our daughter is not the sister-wife kind of woman. She...." Muyang broke off when he heard a notification coming from his smart watch.
It was s special notification, the sound of Mei Mei’s baby voice saying, "I love you dad." The words were not clear, so love sounded like ’wav.’
Chi Lian grabbed his wrist desperately and he fended her off as gently as he could.
"Stop fighting me." She said as she struggled to hold the arm that was determined not to be held.
"Stop grabbing my arm and we can both take a look at the message.." Muyang responded. He grabbed her by her waist sat her between his legs and trapped her there. Then he put his arm in front of her eyes and she touched the watch, opening the message.
There were no words, just a single picture. A picture of Mei Mei and Mingzhu making a heart symbol. Mingzhu was wearing a shirt that the couple had not seen in a long time. It was a pink shirt with the words ’I am proud to be a pretty jun ballerina.’ Muyang had made the shirt when Mei Mei was still taking ballet classes.
Mei Mei was the only girl in the Jun family to dance ballet, even though she quit in her teenage years. It was not the ballet that mattered to the couple, it was the shirt. It brought back memories of a time when their family had been whole, happy and growing.
"She kept it." Chi Lian laughed, the sound broken and teary.
"She passed it on to Mingzhu." Muyang whispered.
"She sent you a message." Chi Lian sniffed.
"Yes." Muyang buried his head in the back of Chi Lian’s hair to hide his moist slight red eyes.
"Why did she send you one and not me?" Chi Lian wailed.
They both knew why. It was because Mei Mei had always been a daddy’s girl and Muyang had always been firmly wrapped around Mei Mei’s finger. Their bond was stronger than words could ever express. Her leaving home the way she did had shattered him.
He had almost had a second heart attack. Even though he did not, he still aged visibly. He had lost weight within a fortnight and he took a year off work.
"You blocked her, I didn’t." Muyang reminded his wife.
Chi Lian’s newest cry was paused. Right, she had blocked her daughter out of anger. It was time to unblock her.
"So, should I text back? Should I say something?" He lifted her with ease and turned her around to face him. The nervousness he was exhibiting was like that of a young boy about to text his crush and he was afraid to say the wrong words. "I should say hi. How does that sound?"
Chi Lian shook her head, she was equally nervous even though she would not be the one responding.
"Hi sounds too casual, maybe I should say hello Jun Meilin. It sounds formal..." he suggested.
"It sounds boring. What is she ignores it? Maybe you should send a picture of the two of us." Chi Lian chimed in an alternative. "What if we say hi and she is not ready to talk?"
Muyang nodded. "We should not scare her off. I want to say something to her. What if I say ’Hey stranger!’" freēwēbnovel.com
"Stranger!!" Chi Lian exclaimed. She shook her head. "It sounds desperate. She might also think that we are rejecting her by calling her a stranger."
"What about, ’hey, how is my favorite daughter?’" He suggested.
"Are you sure that Jun Yi will never see that text in her life?" She asked.
Muyang frowned. Why was responding to the message so complicated? Maybe emoji’s were better than words. "Chi Chi, what if I send an emoji. They are silent little friends that say what we cannot say. It can say I love you but I am not clingy and I will not blame you for everything that happened in the past."
Chi Lian thought for a moment. "An emoji could work. Maybe send a waving hand and a heart. No...the heart might look desperate. Let’s go with the smiley face, but not any of the ones with teeth. Those ones are creepy."
"Arrgh," Muyang groaned. "When did we become so terrible at this? We can text each other but we cannot text our daughter! This is simple, I am just going to write ’Dear Mei Mei. You look beautiful in the picture, we miss you terribly, When are you coming home?"
Chi Lian smacked his arm. "When are you coming home? She will be the one blocking us after that because we are applying pressure. A hunter needs to be careful when hunting."
"We are not hunting our daughter." Muyang mumbled through clenched teeth.
Muyang growled and he swiped the screen, accidentally sending a bleeding heart emoji.
Chi Lian gasped. "What have you done? Now she won’t like us. Quickly, find out what that bleeding heart emoji means before she breaks up with us again."
One of their bodyguards, a man named code named Spider shook his head from where he was relaxing to the right of the couple. He truly had no idea what was wrong with his bosses. Was Mei Mei their daughter or someone they were trying to date?
In the office, Mei Mei was getting ready to go out and find a company that would make the mascot costumes. She sat back down when she noticed that her father had responded to her text. Mei Mei’s heart was beating rapidly as she opened the text. Hopefully, her father was not telling her to get lost.
When she saw the bleeding heart emoji, her nervous heart did not settle down. She fell into a deep silence, pondering on what the emoji meant. It puzzled her so much that she went to the internet to search for an answer.
