Journey to the West: I have Nine Golden Crows Inside Me-Chapter 124: Grievances, The Avatar of the Ming King
Chapter 124: Chapter 124: Grievances, The Avatar of the Ming King
"Amitabha Buddha!"
"The day has finally come."
The changes in the Buddhist fate were immediately sensed by the likes of Buddha Tathagata and Buddha Mahavairocana.
Then, they clasped their hands together, murmured a Buddhist invocation, their faces showing neither joy nor sorrow, inscrutable to observers.
The timing chosen by Jiang Chen to establish the Vinaya Hall was truly impeccable. At any other time, some high-level Buddhist officials might have decided to destroy the Vinaya Hall in a fit of anger.
But not now!
Even Buddha Tathagata couldn’t do it.
Because the Saints forbid it!
At this moment, Buddhism was about to welcome a surge of prosperity. That was why the era of the Great Virtuous Majestic King Buddha and the establishment of the Vinaya Hall of Heavenly Dragon Temple were coming.
These were all omens of the rise of Buddhism!
If someone stepped forward to destroy the Vinaya Hall now, causing the Buddhist fate to fall, can you fathom what that would mean?
On one hand, this would contribute to weakening the strength of Buddhism. On the other hand, one could argue this was a deliberate attempt to disrupt the rise of Buddhism and damage its fate, thereby ruining its chance for prosperity.
The two saints of the West had planned for countless years, even paying unimaginable costs, just to welcome this golden opportunity for the rise of Buddhism in this world. How could they allow outsiders to sabotage it?
Anyone who dares to damage the fate of Buddhism at this point, they would dare to kill - even the Buddhas aren’t exempt!
All can be sacrificed for the rise of Buddhism, except for themselves.
Understanding this, as they saw Jiang Chen establishing the Vinaya Hall in the Heavenly Dragon Temple, the Buddhas chose to remain silent despite their discontent.
Not only could they not destroy the Vinaya Hall but instead they had to support Jiang Chen fully, striving to help him improve the Vinaya Hall. They even needed to ensure Jiang Chen’s safety.
Jiang Chen couldn’t be harmed, at least not before the rise of Buddhism.
Because with the establishment of the Vinaya Hall, Jiang Chen had already been tightly linked with the fate of Buddhism.
Furthermore, at this point, all the Buddhas could more or less guess that Jiang Chen was likely the Great Virtuous Majestic King Buddha mentioned in the prophecy.
Therefore, Jiang Chen absolutely cannot run into any trouble.
If he did, the fate of Buddhism would undoubtedly be affected.
The two saints of the West least wanted to witness the fate of Buddhism being damaged. If that happened, they would have to bear the wrath of the Saints.
Unbeknownst to them, Jiang Chen had become a crucial figure in the rise of Buddhism, essentially securing him a powerful talisman for his own protection.
Killing him had become even more difficult.
Today, it wasn’t just the Jiang Family standing behind Jiang Chen but also the entire Buddhism. If anyone dared to touch him, it would be like poking a hornet’s nest, triggering a massive uproar.
One could take a page from the book of Sun Wukong; despite causing such great chaos, no one dared to mess with him.
Unfortunately, Jiang Chen was oblivious to all of this.
If he knew what lengths the Buddhism would go to protect him, he might have been overjoyed. First, he would thoroughly cleanse the Buddhist disciples of the Xiniuhe Continent.
...
...
Boom!
Atop the Spiritual Mountain, the fate of Buddhism roared and transformed into brilliant golden light, illuminating the Spiritual Mountain with unparalleled brilliance.
Suddenly, the fate of Buddhism stopped swaying and splitted into a strand, falling towards Jiang Chen in the distance.
From afar, Jiang Chen, who was seated on the ground, felt a mysterious force descending, blessing his body.
In an instant, Jiang Chen opened his eyes, and felt an inexplicable change within his body. It was indescribable, incomprehensible, and extremely mysterious.
Suddenly, a surge of rage rose within Jiang Chen’s heart. The rage came unexpectedly and without warning, burgeoning in his heart until it threatened to consume him from within, making him howl uncontrollably.
Boom...
When the rage had reached its limit, like breaking some kind of constraint, it materialized out of nowhere, turning into raging flames that engulfed Jiang Chen.
The materialized rage was pitch black, devoid of any light. The blaze intensely burned in the void, giving an aura of despair as if it could set everything on fire.
Surrounded by the black flames of rage, Jiang Chen seemed to attain some enlightenment. His Sea of Consciousness was booming continuously, his spirit platform was clear and a faint image of a wisdom sword appeared.
Then, as if favored by good luck, Jiang Chen suddenly roared out, "Slay!"
The next moment, the heavenly will descended, transformed into a wisdom sword, and ruthlessly slashed down at Jiang Chen.
Whoosh...
The Wisdom Sword cut through the flames!
As the Wisdom sword slashed down, the sea of rage immediately separated from Jiang Chen’s body and slowly consolidated in the void.
Simultaneously, the fate of Buddhism that originated from the Spiritual Mountain also left Jiang Chen’s body and flew towards the rage in the void, merging with it.
Once combined, it brought forth an extraordinarily magical transformation.
Roar...
A dragon’s roar echoed. After the sea of rage merged with the fate of Buddhism, it began to slowly shrink, gradually coalescing into a blurred shape of a dragon.
Once the rage had shrunk to its limit and the endless golden light shone down, a formidable Great Majestic Heavenly Dragon materialized, its antlers majestic, and its scales fluctuating.
Roar! A dragon’s roar sounded!
The figure of the Great Majestic Heavenly Dragon slowly faded, replaced by a majestic deity.
The deity, wrapped in the Great Majestic Heavenly Dragon, donned a monk robe and a golden armor, representing the supreme Dharma King of Buddhism.
Great Majestic Heavenly Dragon Dharma King!
The so-called Dharma King is the manifestation of a Buddha’s rage – the physical embodiment of indignation.
Every Buddha has a corresponding "wrathful manifestation". For example, the "wrathful manifestation" of Maitreya Buddha is the Great Wheel Dharma King, and that of Buddha Mahavairocana is the Immovable Dharma King at the center.
The "wrathful manifestation" of the Great Virtuous Majestic King Buddha is the Great Majestic Heavenly Dragon Dharma King.
At this moment, even though Jiang Chen had not yet attained Buddhahood, the blessing from Buddhist fate allowed him to have the ability of a Buddha in advance.
He slashed away his indignation and transformed it into the Dharma King.
Much as it indicated, barring any unforeseen circumstances, Jiang Chen would certainly become the Great Virtuous Majestic King Buddha of Buddhism in the future.
The Dharma King’s form had been slashed; becoming the King Buddha was now virtually a certainty.
...
"Great Majestic Heavenly Dragon Dharma King, I’ve met my Buddha." The Great Majestic Heavenly Dragon Dharma King stepped forward and saluted Jiang Chen.
"My Buddha? Is this a foreshadowing that I will become a Buddha?" Hearing the Great Majestic Heavenly Dragon Dharma King’s address, Jiang Chen couldn’t help but think.
This was great, infiltrating into enemy ranks and even becoming a high-ranking official. That was truly dazzling.
Jiang Chen was pleased.
"Cough cough..."
Pretending to cough, Jiang Chen was about to speak. However, when he saw the face of the Great Majestic Heavenly Dragon that resembled eighty percent of his own, he lost all his interest and didn’t say a word.
Putting up an act in front of oneself was genuinely meaningless, and Jiang Chen was not interested.
A thought formed in his heart, and the information about the Great Majestic Heavenly Dragon Dharma King appeared in Jiang Chen’s mind.
Great Majestic Heavenly Dragon Dharma King, the wrathful manifestation of the Great Virtuous Majestic King Buddha of Buddhism.
As the King Buddha roamed the world, seeing demons harming people and Buddhist disciples slaughtering living beings, he inevitably felt rage. Then he would become the Great Majestic Heavenly Dragon Dharma King. With superior strength, he slew demons and saved people, constructing the Pure Land.
