Infinite Paths: The Raging Phoenix-Chapter 1475: Their missions
Chapter 1475: Their missions
"It was probably the dragon god..." Rain said. "He destroyed a bunch of planets to keep the machine gods busy and divert their attention... maybe he did that when we were attacking one of their friends. Can’t say that I am thankful for it when we know that he is gaining something directly out of our actions."
That was worrisome, but Iori couldn’t find any other explanation for the situation... There were hundreds of large concentrations of debris from planets around the world. It felt like they were completely smashed instead of exploded after being hit by something like a large-scale attack.
Rain teleported to the location of the debris to see if he could find any traces of what had happened, but he didn’t have much time, so he just took a look around for a few moments before moving on.
"It looks like he destroyed a bunch of planets close to the innermost layer of the machine god’s territory," Elisabetha said. "Was he trying to stir them up?"
"Who knows?" Rain said. "It is hard to understand what someone thinks, even more so when they think that their butthole is the center of the universe."
The group lost count of how many planets they had found in that situation and Rain couldn’t help but get pissed... that guy truly didn’t care about anything else aside from his ass.
After a couple of hours, they finally arrived at the border of the innermost layer of the machine god’s territory; it was about time for them to get cautious since their targets should be close by.
"As planned, we will look for Lidos base first and then I will leave you guys there to decide when you should attack while I will look for Rais," Rain said. "Stay focused and ready since they might be able to find us, and we won’t have the chance to strike first."
"We are completely ready here," Sealyn declared.
With a heavy heart and a resigned sigh, Rain acknowledged the difficult truth before him. The decision to split their forces and send their comrades off on their own was not an easy one, but it was the best option for the group as a whole. Though he wanted to offer his assistance and support to those who ventured into the thick of battle, he understood that their choice was made with the collective good in mind.
And so, with a sense of determination and purpose, Rain pushed aside his own concerns and pressed on, resolute in his mission to locate the enemy’s base and bring an end to their reign of terror. There was no time to dwell on what could have been or what might await them in the darkness ahead. The path forward was clear, and Rain knew that he must stay focused on the task at hand if they were to have any hope of emerging victorious.
With each step forward, Rain remained steadfast in his commitment to the cause, his thoughts consumed by the gravity of their situation and the weight of responsibility that rested upon his shoulders. Though the road ahead would be fraught with danger and uncertainty, he knew that he could not afford to falter. None of them could...
Still, it didn’t take long before Rain came to a stop... he was able to feel, after moving for a while, something off in that part of the universe... when he tried to use that Aspect, Rain felt a bit of response, but since the spirit skills weren’t at a high level, he couldn’t confirm it. However, it looked like there was a massive concentration of spirits ahead.
"This isn’t good... the spirits probably are being used to find invaders, and they will report us to Lidos," Rain said. "I can feel the space distorting a bit ahead, so it is very likely that old spirits are ahead."
"Then we will stop here, and you can look for the other target," Sealyn declared. "While it is a bit off that you can sense so many of them in the void of space, I guess it makes sense that Lidos would have gathered enough spirits over the years that would be enough to fill a bunch of planets."
"We need to find a solution to this..." Rain said. "You guys can’t use any part of this aspect, and it is hard to say where Lidos would be in a situation like this."
"That is for us to worry about," Esmeralda declared. "Go look for your target already and focus only on dealing with him." freēwēbηovel.c૦m
Rain nodded to himself, acknowledging the validity of his friends’ concerns. It was true; he already had a full plate, with myriad responsibilities and challenges vying for his attention. In truth, he barely had room to worry about anything else, let alone burden his comrades with unnecessary concerns about his well-being.
With his focus, Rain made a silent vow to himself. He would not allow himself to become a distraction or a source of worry for his friends. Instead, he would focus all of his energy and attention on the task at hand, doing whatever was necessary to fulfill his duties and see their mission through to its completion.
It was a simple but powerful realization, one that reminded him of the importance of staying focused and committed, even in the face of adversity. And so, with renewed purpose, Rain set aside his doubts and insecurities, ready to forge ahead and confront whatever challenges awaited him on the path ahead. For in the end, he knew that his friends were counting on him, and he would not let them down.
"All right, I will leave things here in your hands," Rain said. "Do things as planned to surprise the enemies."
"Don’t try too hard. We will come to help you soon enough," Sealyn said.
"Defeating three machine gods by himself is quite the achievement... we should at least be able to do the same faster against a single one," Roan said. "Be careful out there."
