Chapter 1465: Changes

While thinking about that, Rain brought those two to the camp, and soon everyone saw them... Rain had told everyone about his plans, but it didn’t change the fact that some people saw them with animosity since they once had been enemies, after all.

"Is everyone ready?" Rain asked.

"Only a small fraction of them have learned the first stage of the skill. It requires a lot of focus, after all," Roan explained. "It also needs to be fast, so that is another stage to make the whole thing useful."

"Let them focus on their training, and the ones who mastered it learn from those two," Rain said. "This should make them a bit more eager to train since they could be falling behind."

Roan nodded and soon guided Loar and Hardt to the elite group that had already learned the first level of the technique.

"Well then... what next?" Rain thought.

Roan and some others like Jori, Reca, Liss, and Asche were monitoring the training of the troops so Rain didn’t have to stay with them. While Rain was thinking about that, he suddenly felt something in the air... In the next moment, Rain felt like his body had been shocked by static.

"What the hell was that?" Elisabetha asked.

"Did you feel that?" Rain asked while looking around.

"Yes... and it seemed that I wasn’t the only one," Elisabetha said.

Everyone around looked confused. It didn’t feel like they had been attacked, but something off had happened... before long, Rain confirmed it.

Lvl 15: Mana Engraving - Precision manipulation of mana to inscribe intricate runes and sigils onto conjured materials, augmenting their inherent abilities. Each level increases the effectiveness of the skill by ten points per level.

Lvl 20: Mana Crystallization - Transforms mana into crystalline structures imbued with magical energy, granting enhanced properties such as conductivity, resilience, and amplification.

Lvl 25: Mana Synthesis - Fusion of multiple elemental essences to create composite materials with synergistic properties, expanding the range of available substances. Higher levels increase the number of effects.

Lvl 30: Mana Sculpting - Mastery over shaping mana into intricate forms and structures, enabling the creation of complex objects with precision and detail. Higher levels grant more freedom when using the skill.

"What... how?" Rain asked. "Wait... he did it..."

The matter path aspect had reached some levels since Rain experimented with the skills that he had already. That was why the path was already at level thirty... even though he only had skills up to level ten until a while ago. Since his skill list was updated, it meant that the system obtained the knowledge from that aspect... probably because the machine god killed Ateros. There was no other explanation.

"He is finally taking things seriously... and he just gotten stupidly stronger," Rain said.

"The dragon god, huh?" Elisabetha asked. "It feels like he just obtained all of the knowledge of Asteros."

"Yeah, that would explain why I got these skills immediately," Rain said while nodding. "I don’t know how well he fought against them, but I can guess that he had gotten a lot stronger... soon, he will feel more confident to challenge the others."

Considering the actions of the oversee, the dragon god was probably stronger than Rain before, and since he had gotten stronger... he probably wouldn’t need much time to recover and challenge another. The machine gods were no good, but the fact that the dragon god was clinically insane only added fuel to the fire... Rain and his group didn’t have time to compete with the dragon god... they had to do things at their own pace.

"Rain, do you know what happened?" Branden asked after he approached.

"I have a fairly good idea... Ateros is dead, and the dragon god is probably the one who killed him," Rain said.

"... Considering your expression, this must be a pretty bad scenario," Branden said. "I will call the others for us to have a secret meeting since most of us are training, and we don’t want to stall their progress."

Everyone looked confused, but they were trying to resume their training... it was better to hold back on that kind of information for now, and Rain also should focus on leveling up that path to know fully what the dragon god could do now. Considering the new skills... they were in a bind.

One hour later, the group reunited in Rain’s pocket dimension, and he shared his hypothesis and findings. They also asked him to use the new skills of the Matter aspect. With the first skill, he could enhance the properties of relics by quite a good margin, but that could only be used a few times. It would be equal to the level of the skill divided by ten.

With Mana Crystallization, Rain could create a mana crystal that could enhance the properties of an item in any shape or form that he wanted. He could make a bow sharper or a staff harder. He also could enhance the properties of relics. The number would be equal to the level of the skill divided by ten.

The third skill allowed him to create materials that would work well with each other even if the materials usually wouldn’t have originally such properties. For example, he could create a sword that would improve the effectiveness of fire magic even before enchanting it.

The fourth skill allowed him to create pretty much anything made of mana... it would be almost identical to the real thing, but it would look like a mana crystal. Transparent and blue.

"The dragon god got even further ahead of us, huh?" Esmeralda asked. "What do you think, Rain? Could he become a more difficult enemy than the strongest machine gods?"

"If he obtains another aspect and learns how to combine them... he probably will," Rain said. "When he defeated me for the first time, he already could do some crazy things, after all."

"Then, is he going to target us now?" Esmeralda asked.
