Chapter 1462: Level Up and Level Down

Rain thought about the complexities of combining void with other skills, recognizing the inherent difficulty in melding the essence of cosmic emptiness with more conventional abilities. While the potential for synergy and amplification was undeniable, he knew from experience that the true power of void-based skills often manifested most strongly when they were wielded in isolation.

It was a frustrating realization, one that showed the inherent limitations of attempting to integrate void with other aspects of reality. The unique nature of void made it inherently incompatible with conventional techniques, its unpredictable and destabilizing effects resisting attempts at harmonization with more structured forms of combat.

Despite these challenges, Rain was not one to back down from a daunting task. He had some ideas on how to overcome the obstacles that stood in his way, even if it meant making sacrifices in terms of effectiveness. By incorporating certain modifications and adjustments to his techniques, he believed that he could achieve a degree of integration between void and other skills, albeit at a cost.

"It can’t be helped... the aspects work together to maintain reality, but combining them is rather troublesome," Rain thought. "I guess the only way to deal with this is to create new skills. It should be possible, but very complicated."

Combining the effects and making them level up in order to become more powerful over time... It was the basis of the path system. Still, there was no path that combined the power of the aspects yet.

Since Rain obtained the ruthless path that combined pride and wrath, it should be possible to do the same with these aspects... at least in theory. While Rain was thinking about that, he couldn’t help but get a bit pissed... the overseer was benefiting so much from that and he still was on the fence regarding the situation. The idea of creating his own system where he would benefit more than the overseer came to mind again. Perhaps with the power of the aspects, he could do that. However, it wouldn’t be easy since the overseer had all the knowledge and the skills of those who were part of the system.

"This might also take too long... and it would be more beneficial to focus on planning to face Ateros," Rain thought while furrowing his eyebrows. "... I guess I will just theorize the whole thing first before putting it into practice."

By defeating Ateros, Rain believed that by combining those three aspects, he would have all the skills necessary to put his plan into practice, but for now, it was better to focus on the enemy.

You fulfilled the necessary requirements to unlock a new path.

Cosmic Aspect Path: The cosmic aspect, as a path, represents a journey of profound exploration and understanding of the universe and its fundamental principles. It is a path that delves into the deepest mysteries of existence, seeking to unlock the secrets of the cosmos and harness its boundless power.

Level 01: Level Down - At the cost of one thousand points of mana, you can erase the experience of a skill that the opponent has. The amount will be equal to the Level of the skill multiplied by ten.

"You are seriously doing this, huh?" Elisabetha asked. "I can’t believe that this kind of skill can actually exist."

"You haven’t seen anything yet," Rain said.

Level 05: Level Up - At the cost of one thousand points of mana, you can add experience of a skill that the Target has. The amount will be equal to the Level of the skill multiplied by ten.

"I suppose it makes sense that this is possible as well..." Elisabetha said. "What next?"

"I don’t have any more ideas," Rain said. "My brain isn’t well of infinite potential."

In any case, having that kind of skill was truly interesting... since Rain could make anyone with decent skills become useful pretty soon. Even those who couldn’t learn skills like Magic Sacrifice and Endurance Sacrifice.

That seemed enough progress for a day, so Rain decided to take a break and check things outside. If Roan needed help, it was time to give a hand at that moment that Rain had some free time.

When Rain returned outside, he saw a bunch of people using Origin Punch instead of trying to learn the version where they could use their weapons... It seemed that Roan assumed that it was better to start like that, at least for now.

"As expected of you, Dad," Rain said when he found Roan. "You know how to teach others well."

"You think that is enough after leaving me with such a problem in my hands?" Roan asked and then sighed. "I know that you are busy, but..."

"Here is a gift as thanks for your hard work," Rain said and then used Level Up on Roan’s Origin Slash.

"... What the hell... just how... Why do I even ask?" Roan asked.

"It is indeed better not to ask," Rain said. "Did I miss anything?"

"You missed seeing Sealyn here. She came to check this new technique once she heard about it," Roan said and then sighed once more. "She must be at her home trying the technique now with her spear."

As Rain observed Sealyn’s determination to resume her training despite the toll it was taking on her body, he couldn’t help but empathize with her struggle. Like Roan, he, too, felt a sense of exasperation at Sealyn’s refusal to listen to the warnings of her body. It was clear that she was driven by a fierce desire to excel, to prove herself, and to ensure that she didn’t fall behind in their ever-escalating battles against their foes.

Yet, even as Rain understood Sealyn’s motivations, he couldn’t shake the feeling of concern that bothered him. Her insistence on pushing herself beyond her limits, especially so soon after giving birth, filled him with a sense of unease. He knew all too well the dangers of overexertion, the risks of ignoring the body’s need for rest.
