Chapter 216: Chapter 215: Capturing the Little Hawk King! (Heartfelt Words, Seventh update asking for subscriptions!)

Translator: 549690339

With some speculations in mind, Du Gang continued onwards. While passing through a swamp, suddenly, a giant crocodile shot out, opening its massive mouth, barreling towards him.

“Perfect!”

Du Gang let out a laugh. He had been wondering if other creatures would also turn into transparent substances upon death. Then, like a gift, this crocodile showed up!

The Ancient Divine Spear immediately materialized, targeting the gaping maw of the crocodile.

However, to his surprise, as the spear got closer to the crocodile’s mouth, it seemed to shrink, becoming about the size of the crocodile’s teeth.

“Is it getting bigger?”

Upon seeing this, Du Gang quickly transformed into a hundred-meter tall giant.

“Boom!”

This time, something unexpected happened.

The giant crocodile in front of him seemed to have grown proportionally, still approaching him with its mouth open, getting closer and closer.

“Damn, what’s happening?!”

Du Gang, startled, transformed again, this time enlarging himself to a height of a hundred thousand kilometers.

“Boom!”

Upon completion of his transformation, he was dumbstruck!

Because, the crocodile was still in front of him, still snapping at him as before.

This time, it seemed like his body was being repressed.

“Retreat first!”

Du Gang leaped backward through the air, flying away into the distance.

But to his astonishment, he didn’t seem to have any strength in his jumps, as if a bicycle with a broken chain. No matter how much force he put in, he was unable to move.

At this moment, he noticed that the crocodile in front of him kept getting bigger and bigger.

“Hmm”

“Crunch!”

With the closure of its upper and lower jaws, the crocodile successfully swallowed Du Gang.

Looking at the huge throat passage resembling an abyss, Du Gang realized it wasn’t the crocodile’s proportional enlargement but rather its ability to suppress his transformation.

Incredible!

A small crocodile possessing such power!

“Could it be…a God Spirit Level creature?!”

As a Sector Lord Level being, under normal circumstances, a God Spirit Level creature could suppress his size.

The crocodile’s performance necessitated this kind of speculation.

He did not resist, or rather, his resistance was futile.

He got drawn into the abyss.

Following the path of the digestive tract, Du Gang kept descending.

As he continued sinking, the surrounding flesh walls started to produce a suction force.

Du Gang felt his Divine Power dwindling with the absorption of this suction.

After several minutes of continuous descent, Du Gang finally reached a place similar to a stomach.

This place was incredibly vast, as large as an independent space. If it weren’t for the humanoid corpses at the end of the stomach, Du Gang would have truly thought he had entered another spatial domain.

“Pop!”

With a soft sound, Du Gang stuck to it like a fly to a flytrap, while endless suction force drained the energy from his body.

“Damn!”

Feeling his power ebbing away, looking at the humanoid corpses, Du Gang, rarely, let out a curse.

What level of existence is this crocodile?!

He was astounded!

“I can’t just sit here and wait for death!”

After some thought, he shouted again, “Transform!”

“Bang!”

This time, to his surprise, he actually saw the sky!

“Where is the crocodile?”

Gazing down from a hundred thousand kilometers above the ground, he couldn’t see anything.

Suddenly, he felt a lightness on his head.

Looking up, a transparent object, the size of a sesame seed, appeared slowly.

“Did the crocodile die?!”

Du Gang was perplexed and at the same time, reduced his size back to normal.

Floating in the air, looking at this object that was already formed and still flying toward the Heavenly Mountain, he knitted his eyebrows.

“Could it be that the crocodile only has that terrifying controlling power when it opens its mouth?!”

He speculated that the reason he couldn’t transform earlier was due to some shrinking force suppressing him.

And when he was in the stomach, this restrictive force was gone, hence he came out!

“It should be like this!”

Apart from this possibility, he could not think of any other.

“Did the corpses come out?!”

He quickly looked around, including the ground below.

After a long search, he did not find the corpses that he had found inside the crocodile.

“So, did the corpses also turn into this transparent substance when the crocodile died?!” 𝑓𝑟𝑒𝓮𝓌𝑒𝒷𝘯ℴ𝑣𝓮𝓁.𝒸ℴ𝘮

Du Gang’s eyebrows furrowed deeper, he was clueless about this transparent substance.

“Should I continue?”

After some pondering, he resolutely moved in the direction of the Heavenly Mountain.

The four major corporations willingly let people in, which implies, in their assessment, there are some dangers but also opportunities that beings above Sector Lord Level can obtain.

Moreover, he had a bold speculation about the crocodile that had just disappeared.

“As we know, this is a temple on the Pangu Continent, suspected to be the manifestation of Pangu Supreme. Then, these things likely have something to do with it!”

“Pangu Supreme, I’m your descendent. Don’t play tricks on your offspring!”

With this in mind, Du Gang embarked on the journey towards the Heavenly Mountain.

Just at this moment, the ‘sun’ hanging in the sky seemed to dim.

“What’s happening, is it setting?”

With that thought, Du Gang quickly started looking.

He had seen many platforms similar to Lake Island along the way, so he wasn’t worried.

Soon enough, he found another similar platform.

This time, those small animals, like the grey snake that had attacked him previously and the crocodile that almost digested him, all squeezed onto the platform.

At this moment, they seemed to have agreed beforehand, none paid any attention to others, only focusing on moving forward.

Seeing this, Du Gang also stood on the platform along with these animals.

As expected, these animals did not attack him at this moment; they behaved as if he were non-existent.

Shortly after standing on the platform, the sun in the sky began a steep descent.

In no time, it vanished without a trace.

Simultaneously, the sky suddenly dimmed.

The originally beautiful state of mountains, rivers, and streams began to change.

The Dark Forest they experienced on their first entry reappeared.

It seemed as though two different worlds were interchanging based on the changes in the sky.

“So it is true, one world dominated by Yang (the cosmic male principle), and one by Yin (the cosmic female principle)?!”

At this moment, the platform they were standing on was emanating a layer of purple mist, protecting them within.

The strange black creatures in the forest, as if completely oblivious to their existence, stayed lifeless on the treetops.

Meanwhile, the animals on the platform seemed to have reached their bedtime, each of them lying on the ground, beginning to sleep.

“Bizarre!”

Du Gang stared at this scene, his brow furrowed, “It seems like… like a pre-arranged program…”

“There is something wrong with both ‘the sun’ and these animals!”

He didn’t disturb the sleeping animals but took a step over them and walked to the edge of the platform, next to the boundary enveloped in purple mist.

“Hey!”

He tried greeting the black creatures outside.

Regrettably, those creatures made no response.

“So, this platform, indeed, is a kind of a protective platform, capable of protecting organisms on the platform from getting hurt by these black creatures.”

Du Gang tried taking out the Ancient Divine Spear and threw it outwards.

“Whoosh!”

At this moment, all black creatures heard the noise and swarmed towards the location of the spear.

Seeing this, Du Gang swiftly recalled the spear, at the same time readying himself, guarding against their attack.

However, unexpectedly, the platform they were standing on truly felt like being in a different time-space.

These black creatures merely moved back and forth through their platform, without stopping.

The phenomena also applied to the animals lying on the ground as though the things moving through were only illusions, causing no harm whatsoever.

Simultaneously, based on the reaction of these black creatures, he judged that they couldn’t see them at all.

“If I leave from here, will I be able to return?”

With that thought, Du Gang went off the platform after the black creatures had dispersed and returned to their respective trees.

“Step!”

After he stepped out, he found himself indeed standing on the ground.

“Chirp!”

With his appearance, the otherwise silent forest instantly sprung to life, countless black creatures surging towards him.

Seeing this, Du Gang quickly retreated but found himself still standing on the black soil even after stepping back a few steps. At this moment, he realized that the platform enveloped in purple mist had disappeared behind him!

“Holy crap, is it really so mysterious?!”

Du Gang exclaimed in surprise. Then, before the black creatures could surround him, he rapidly turned into the size of a speck of dust.

Immediately, the black creatures left after searching for a while.

Meanwhile, Du Gang saw a terrifying scene.

Off in the distance, where the Sky Tower Mountain stood, a towering tree shot upright, hanging on it were various creatures of different sizes.

What surprised him was that these creatures seemed stronger than the lifeless ones in front of him and appeared to possess a consciousness.

That’s because the creatures on the towering tree seemed to possess life and were roaming back and forth.

What exactly were these things?

Du Gang was very puzzled, but this time, he did not leave this place.

He wanted to see if the original platform was still there when the sun came out.

“While I’m at it, I might as well experiment to see if I can kill these creatures!”

With that thought, Du Gang contemplated a little, came up with a simple battle plan in his mind, and then started to look for a target.

He was looking for a relatively isolated one!

Very soon, he found a target that met his criteria, a silly looking black creature.

“Swoosh!”

The moment he returned to his human form, Du Gang launched a Sky Breaking Stance.

“Kill!”

This time, he went all out from the start. The golden light burst forth, the power shook the sky, causing the entire firmament to tremble.

“Boom!”

The black creature in front of him, still not yet fully revived, was blown to smithereens by Du Gang’s attack.

“Poof!”

This time, after the black creature died, it quickly turned into a mass of black smoke. Like some invisible material, it started flowing towards the direction of that titanic tree.

“Chirp!!”

Seeing other creatures start to revive, Du Gang quickly shrank down into dust. Yet his gaze was fixed on the back smoke.

“What on earth are these things? Why do they turn into such a strange substance after the death and fly there?!”

Moreover, the Yin and Yang worlds seemed to be contradicting each other. Appear during the day, and disappear in the night, and vice versa.

“If someone from the outside dies here, will they turn into this kind of material?”

Du Gang raised this question.

Regrettably, after he came in, except for two corpses, he hadn’t encountered any other humans.

“If I leave the temple and come back in, will I be in the same position as now?”

Du Gang speculated that other humans might have already reached the vicinity of the Sky Tower Mountain.

However, he was not in a rush but patiently waited there.

After all, in the Yin world, the things on the towering tree in the distance seemed too scary. If there were powerful creatures among them, it would be too disadvantageous for him.

This time, after waiting for about six hours, the sun reappeared, and the Yin world retreated.

“Every six hours, the day and night transitions, huh?!”

Although he hadn’t calculated the daytime before, he felt it should also be roughly around six hours.

So he figured out the pattern of day and night.

As the sky lit up, the previously invisible platform also became apparent.

“Cock-a-doodle-doo!”

With the crowing of the rooster, all the creatures began to revive and went their separate ways.

Seeing this, Du Gang even specifically went to provoke a gray snake.

As a result, the gray snake seemed to ignore him completely, continuing to slither in its intended direction.

“Damn, this is too weird!”

Du Gang couldn’t wait any longer and decided to head straight for Sky Tower Mountain today to find other humans and ask them about the specific circumstances here.

After all, those people have been here for a month. They should know quite a bit, at least more than him.

“Swoosh!”

He hurried along and was in the form of dust during the whole journey.

The primary reason was that numerous fierce beasts attacked him while he was flying in his human form.

These beasts were of little their killing offered no substantial benefits and it was a waste of time, so he ignored them.

Pass of Heaven, the mountain he was going towards, was farther than he had imagined. Six hours later, just before the arrival of the nighttime world, Du Gang found a plateau.

This time, he planned to spend the night on the plateau to see if there were any changes.

Unfortunately, he spent six hours there without noticing anything unusual.

He even tested the area by throwing out a sleeping crocodile.

Once the crocodile fell into the darkness, it showed no response, not even when attacked by the black creatures, it continued to be non-responsive.

In the end, after its complete death, it transformed into a transparent substance and dispersed into the surrounding space.

He didn’t know if the synthesized transparent substance dispersed into the space or burrowed into the daytime world.

In short, the six hours on the plateau passed uneventfully.

At dawn, he started off again, traveling non-stop. Finally, before the nighttime world’s descent, he encountered other humans.

Interestingly, it was Yu Shuiyao, who had just entered the temple not long ago.

She was standing by a clear water river, fighting with an amphibious creature.

As Du Gang arrived, Yu Shuiyao noticed him.

Even in battle, she maintained her graceful posture, radiating feminine allure with every move.

She called out urgently, her voice clear and mellifluous, “Du Gang, quick, help me!”

Since Du Gang was there to find people, he didn’t want to waste time waiting for her to finish the fight.

Without a second thought, he retrieved the Ancient Divine Spear and killed the amphibious reptile.

“Sky Breaking Stance!”

The moment he acted, it was the mighty move.

“Boom!”

With one move, he turned the reptile into a translucent substance.

Seeing Du Gang casually destroy the beast, Yu Shuiyao was taken aback, but soon regained her composure.

She calmly asked: “Did you catch up to Little Hawk King?”

Yu Shuiyao was present when Du Gang and Little Hawk King fought.

And soon after the two went in, she also followed.

Of course, she knew that they would be randomly teleported. So she wanted to see if Du Gang had met Little Hawk King.

Du Gang shook his head and laughed, “I have no idea where that guy was teleported to. I’ve been hurrying this way and only just met you…”

“Yu Shuiyao, do you know what’s going on here?”

Yu Shuiyao stood quietly, her countenance as unreal as a goddess, her demeanor ethereal and filled with an otherworldly air.

With a tinge of reminiscence in her words, she said, “I heard it from my clan…”

“It’s said that the temple was formed from a strand of Pangu’s divine thought…”

“Except for some mystery when it first appeared, there hasn’t been much change over the endless years…”

“However, your arrival might have stimulated this strand of divine thought, awakening it…”

Her beautiful eyes sparkled, her look towards Du Gang full of concern, “It is said that the scenes here could be transformed from the memories of the Supreme Pangu that the divine thought carries with it…”

“We’re here this time, actually piggybacking on your luck…”

“This divine thought is, after all, Supreme Pangu’s divine thought. It would normally be forever dormant, but somehow it was stirred up by your arrival…”

Yu Shuiyao shook her head and continued, “My family said that although ancient gods have visited Pangu Continent before, none of them caused any changes. Only your arrival has brought changes to the temple…”

“So, there’s a high likelihood of gaining some benefits this time. It could be the secret techniques of the Supreme Pangu, or the memories of the Supreme Pangu, or some other benefits left behind by the Supreme Pangu…”

So that’s how it is?!

Du Gang had some suspicions previously, and now that he heard her, he understood roughly.

It seemed that his bloodline might have indeed resonated with that strand of divine thought from the Supreme Pangu.

Du Gang asked, “What about the people who have stayed here for a month, did they figure out any patterns?”

Yu Shuiyao pointed at Pass of Heaven Mountain towering in the distance and said, “Not yet. With you not here, the changes here were minimal. However, all the clues point out that to get the benefits, you need to climb this mountain!”

“Has anyone tried to climb it?”

“Not yet!”

Yu Shuiyao shook her head and said, “Let’s see what happens when we get there!”

The place where they stood wasn’t far from Pass of Heaven Mountain.

It didn’t take them much time to reach the base of the mountain.

When they got there, an inexplicable pressure suddenly descended and their pace faltered.

“Seems like this area is under a flight restriction!”

Du Gang clenched his fist, confirming his strength was still there, and paid it no mind.

Just as they were about to continue climbing, a figure landed not far away from them.

“Qiao Jin!”

Qiao Jin seemed somewhat disheveled at the moment. Seeing the pair, he immediately breathed a sigh of relief.

“The beasts outside are terrifying…”

He was still pretty shaken up.

Although his power was average, the beasts were very tricky, leaving him unable to deal with them.

Noticing the slime on him, Yu Shuiyao laughed, “You didn’t get eaten by a crocodile, did you…”

At that moment, Du Gang suddenly turned into a flash of golden light and dashed in a direction.

The pair quickly looked towards it. In the distance, a flash of golden light was darting towards them but then quickly shot back at high speed.

Once Du Gang left the restricted zone, he quickly took off after the fleeing golden light.

Looking at two rays of golden light that were rapidly moving away, Qiao Jin questioned, “What’s going on?”

Although he also entered today, he came in earlier and didn’t witness the fight between Du Gang and Little Hawk King.

Yu Shuiyao laughed, “That’s Little Hawk King – Du Gang almost killed him in the outside world…”

Only then did Qiao Jin understand that Du Gang was pursuing and trying to kill Little Hawk King once more.

“Du Gang, don’t you freaking push it too far!”

Little Hawk King was frantically flapping his wings, but Du Gang was still maintaining a safe distance while relentlessly pursuing him.

Du Gang smiled, “You are the one who said that anything goes on the arena, including death. You sure are running pretty fast…”

Little Hawk King had an angry look on his face. But he was helpless because he really couldn’t beat Du Gang. If he stopped, he might really die.

“Swoosh!”

“Swoosh!”

The two golden rays kept flashing as they swept across the vast forest.

“Du Gang, nighttime is about to descend. If you continue chasing me, both of us will be screwed!” Little Hawk king noticed the sky changing and became agitated.

Compared to the daytime, the night was clearly more terrifying.

Those endless creatures, tireless and fearless, rushed at him in a frenzy.

Just the thought of it made his blood run cold!

Initially, when he was pursued into the temple by Du Gang, it was nighttime. Fortunately, it soon changed to daytime. Otherwise, he might have died then and there.

At night, those creatures were incredibly fast. No matter how fast he flew, they quickly caught up.

As for Little Hawk King’s words, Du Gang neither agreed nor disagreed. It didn’t matter to him, as he could always shrink to avoid attacks once they arrived in the darkness world.

When Du Gang appeared unfazed, Little Hawk King barked angrily, “You really want to bring us both down?”

“Du Gang! Your enemy is Jiang Wenxing, why do you keep pursuing me?!”

He was genuinely scared of the madman behind him, who seemed to have no regard for his own life.

With a faint smile, Du Gang retorted, “Didn’t you call me a loser? Let me show you!”

“Shit!!”

At this moment, Little Hawk King’s expression was indescribable, and he somewhat regretted his previous arrogance.

“Boom!”

At this point, the initially high-hanging sun in the sky started to descend gradually.

“Damn it! I only have about a minute left …”

With a shift of golden light, Little Hawk King swiftly flew towards a platform in the distance.

“Swoosh!”

“Swoosh!”

Just as the sun was about to set, the two figures—one leading and the other following—landed on the platform.

“Boom!”

What Little Hawk King didn’t expect was that Du Gang wouldn’t let him go even at this critical moment—he had actually made a move!

“Bang bang bang!”

He quickly fought back, casting Claw Rending the Sky as if it cost him nothing.

Similarly, Du Gang unleashed a series of Sky Breaking Stances one after another.

In that moment, they transformed the platform into their battlefield.

The surrounding animals slept soundly, showing not the slightest hint of resistance.

Any creature struck by the ensuing shockwaves were virtually transformed into transparent substances, gradually disappearing.

In a short while, only Du Gang and Little Hawk King were left on the platform.

“Du Gang, don’t push me too far…”

Little Hawk King glared fiercely with an expression that seemed to say, ‘if you’re mad, I can be madder.’

Hearing this, Du Gang finally stopped.

After the prolonged fight, he realized that he was unable to defeat Little Hawk King with his conventional methods. Unless he transformed…

“Even if I push you, so what?”

With a slight smile, Du Gang told him: “Transform!”

In the next second, they both left the platform in a flash.

After a moment, Little Hawk King hastily tried to fly back to the platform. But when he turned his head, he discovered that the platform which was previously shrouded with purple mist had now disappeared.

“Madman!”

Roaring in fury, Little Hawk King nimbly evaded an attack from a nearby creature and began to counterattack relentlessly.

Meanwhile, all the surrounding creatures that heard the noise started to action, gradually converging towards them.

Gazing at the increasingly dense crowd of monsters in the distance, Little Hawk King cursed, “Are you trying to drag me down with you?”

“To go down together?”

With a smile, Du Gang replied: “Don’t worry. Neither of us will die!”

Then, something totally unbelievable happened right in front of Little Hawk King.

The Du Gang in front of him seemed to have slipped into an empty space, disappearing in an instant.

“Where is he?!”

He was completely dumbfounded!

What happened to dying together as they had said?

“Du Gang, fuck your ancestors!”

“Bang bang bang!”

After finishing his swearing, he was forced to start fighting against the enemies.

At that moment, he dare not use his wings, because the speed of these creatures seemed to change according to his.

If he sped up, the creatures would double their speed. After all, they also had a pair of wings on their back…

“Claw Rending the Sky!”

“Boom boom boom!”

Lots of creatures were vanquished into black smoke under his attacks.

However, it was useless. These creatures were seemingly endless, continuously emerging.

Moreover, their power was basically at the Sector Lord Fourth Rank level. Without using his best moves, it was extremely difficult to exterminate these creatures!

This led to his power being rapidly depleted.

In a mere ten minutes, he had killed hundreds of creatures, but he was also nearing the end of his Divine Power.

“Will I, Little Hawk King, die a disgraced death in this place?!”

In this moment, there was an unyielding spirit in his eyes!

He had just passed the hell-level trials, but before he had even had the chance to make a name for himself, he was going to die a pathetic death.

Just then, he heard an all too familiar voice in his ear.

“Do you need me to save you?!”

A glimmer of hope rose in his heart when he heard those words.

At the same time, a field being encompassed by a world was covering him.

Feeling this world field, he hesitated a bit in this moment.

But in the end, he chose to let go of his resistance and allowed himself to be guided.

“Swoosh!”

All of a sudden, Little Hawk King disappeared from his encirclement.

Upon reappearing, he was already inside Du Gang’s internal world!

“Rattle!”

Just as soon as Little Hawk King showed up, before he even had the chance to resist, he was captured by a chain and tied to a pillar.

In someone else’s internal world, regardless of whether they were equal in strength or not, he could not resist!

Du Gang’s spirit form floated in front of him with a smile, “You are the first person I have captured….”

Seeing signs of survival, Little Hawk King asked, “You’re not going to kill me?”

Du Gang laughed and said, “Why would I kill you? You’re worth a lot…”

PS: Some readers think 10,000 words per day is too little, and I agree. So, I’m readjusting my update strategy for every “one cent” of potential profit.

PS: New update plan: Update two chapters of around 10,000 words each every day, totaling at least 20,000 words per day. Then, have an additional explosion update of 70,000 words once a week.

PS: Let’s try this out for now. I write pretty fast, even faster than Eagle-listed Writers. I typically sleep at around 1 AM, wake up at 4 AM to write, and continue to write till 12 midnight. I usually only take 10 minutes to eat, so essentially, I spend 20 hours writing every day. Updating 30,000 words every day is my limit.

PS: Today, I’m short of over 2,000 words. I planned to explode with 70,000 words in total, but only managed to write over 67,000 words. This morning, my draft payment came out, and after seeing it, I tearfully passed out in the toilet. This month’s draft payment wasn’t even enough to pay back this month’s loan, hence I wasted almost three hours trying to adjust my conditions. Nobody said being an adult was easy. After a good cry, all I can do is either die now or pick myself back up and continue to write.

PS: To fight for the top spot on the Combat Power Ranking, I have bet my life and the lives of my descendants. If I lose, my lineage ends here…
