I Will Survive Till The End: Blood Extermination Academy-Chapter 180: The Finish Line
Chapter 180: The Finish Line
Arc 3, Chapter 180—The Finish Line

This was bad!
Everyone could feel the end drawing near.
Whoosh!
A ghoul lunged towards him from an unexpected angle, catching Levon unawares. And just when it was about to sink its Claws into Levon’s body, a giant Fork plunged into its head.
"Shugo!!!!"
The duo who were sweating buckets, were too happy to see him return. It seems the materials had been delivered successfully.
"Hey Buddies, we’ve got to go! The train’s will be leaving anytime now!"
"What?" Leo was taken aback. Has it already been that long they’ve been out here?"
He seemed to have forgotten that apart from the long journey they took, they had spent too much time scrutinizing each tree they felt was a good match. On top of that, their battles with the ghouls have already lasted for 45 minutes. So how can there be much time left?
"We need to leave." Levon whispered. There’s no point fighting a battle that you can’t possibly win.
With a final, powerful spinning kick, Levon created an opening for himself, enlarging his shard and sweeping both Leo and Shugo on.
"Human, you cannot leave!!!" The Ghoul 4 finally reacted, plunging forward at an incredible pace.
It jumped from tree to tree with a ferocious intent, chasing behind the flying trio. And for a moment, he was catching up.
Shugo and Leo stood on the flying Katana, throwing attacks at the level 4 Ghoul and the other ghouls, in hopes of slowing them down. Sadly, the enemy seemed incredibly desperate.
Levon gritted his teeth, doing his best to go faster. "I see it!" He couldn’t help muttering.
There it was... the train!
From the far distance, he could see that several cabins were engulfed by gigantic bubbles. There were logs on each cabin. It seemed that the construction snails would break down these logs, swallow them... and then spot them out as plank bricks while bypassing any broken places on the cabins.
Like snails, they stick to any surface, even upside down or sideways. And as they passed, they would feel the breakage or badly fixed spots before spotting out wooden blocks with the right dimensions.
Like a jigsaw puzzle, they put everything in place, finally gluing and arranging it down with their strange mucus they secreted.
Looking around, Levon also spotted others in various locations also running to the cabins while being chased. And the moment they passed through the bubble, the ghouls also began, but were instantly electrocuted and turned to dust seconds later.
Hey... it seems these ghouls won’t survive if they dared to pass through. But as beings with little intelligence, many ghouls seemed not to understand this matter, even after seeing their comrades turn to ashes.
They still kept pouring in one by one like sheep without a shepherd... Well, their shepherd in question must be this Ghoul 4 chasing after them.
Dammit!
These guys are really relentless. They were so close that they only needed to jump to get to them.
"No!!!" The level 4 Ghoul seemed to notice the weirdness of the bubble, jumping faster and swifter than before.
Bam!
He landed on the gigantic Katana, elongating his already long and ghoulish fingernails.
"You must all become one with me!!"
In a flash, its body grew 3 times bigger than it already was.
With Leo and Shugo focused on elongating the other Bloodren 10s, Levon had to choose but to battle, while focusing on driving the Katana forward.
Should since he has duplicated his shard, he could use the other shard to battle. The problem is that this slows down the shard they were currently on.
"Fine." Levon muttered, sensing what he had to do if they were going to make it through. Closing his eyes, he relied not on sight... but on the Origin Breathing.
He could do everything, but in energy waves and forms.
It was fascinating that with his technique, he could see the gathered points in the enemy’s body. There was a lot of gory energy circulating in his lower body... in particular, the part between its legs.
Good...
Levon smirked sardonically, molding the Katana in his hands into a weapon he felt was far more suitable.
... It was an Executioner’s Axe!
The battle that followed was so intense that Levon felt his belly coil unnaturally.
’Just a bit more.’ He told himself, defending against all attacks till they finally made it through.
Bam!!!!
They were safely on the trains.
Shugo was the first to kiss the cool metal exterior, his entire body now cloaked in thick layers of salty discharge.
Success... Now they could finally relax.
~Tick-Tock. Tick-Tock.
A while later, several people were breathing heavily while laying on the Cabin’s roof.
It was finally over.
Raising his head, Levon caught a glimpse of the hideous Level 4 Ghoul who was standing at the entrance of the forest with a grim look. Their battle had only lasted for 6 minutes before Levon’s successfully passed through the bubble surrounding their cabin.
Sure enough, the level 4 and 3 ghouls were a little smarter, stopping before they could touch the bubble. They stood in the forest’s edge, staring at the vast open clearing that held the many towering structures and train tracks.
Everyone on the many Cabin roofs had different thoughts flying when staring at these hellish ghouls. One look, and everyone could see the hatred these ghouls held.
It seemed the ghouls sensed the train’s preparations for departure and soon vanished into the forest, no longer watching them in plain sight.
17 minutes later, time was up and the snails abandoned whatever construction was left for those who brought their construction materials too late. Fortunately, Levon’s cabin was finished right on time.
All board~
The train’s engine began churning, shining those who were still in the forest heading back.
"Wait! Wait! Stop that train!"
They flew with all their might, some making it barely, while others were actually left behind.
Still, those left behind didn’t dare to stop flying, as they elevated themselves incredibly high in the sky at a distance the ghouls can’t jump to. Then they grouped up, using their shards one by one to get to flow the tracks and the train that kept going further and further.
Even if they have to travel all night and day, they swore to reach the train’s final destination on their own... At least that was better than getting bitten or swallowed up alive.
"Hey! Hey! Follow that TRAIN!"
.
.
Time really trickled down like water.
These past many hours have felt like a century to them since the train took off. They’ve been attacked during supper, and now on day 4, attacked again at dawn.
Why did the ghouls come and go? It was because the materials used for renovations were so sturdy that for their first attacks, they practically couldn’t enter the cabins. So what did they do?
They waited and waited for the right opportunity when someone would open the balcony doors.
And then—war!
The enemy found a way in and they battled for hours on day 4 till 12 noon on the dot.
Dammit!
More people had been infected this time, as the level 4 Ghoul Went all out with all his forces. It was a gruesome sight to behold, a battle that made their faces paper pale.
Fortunately, they survived... they made it through. But why exactly did the ghouls vanish?
Looking out the window, Levon seemed to understand why. They finally left the sunlight terrains with autumn leaves, and were finally passing through terrain with normal sunlight and greenery.
So that’s it...
The ghouls had left before the sun came in to turn them to dust.
Good—this time, the journey was uneventful. Everyone finally had time to freshen up and surprisingly, have lunch.
That’s right, they were all shocked to see that lunch was prepared for them.
Supper was typically at 7:15 PM. So could it be that they’ll be arriving at their destination before 7PM since they were given food now?
Levon chuckled, admiring the scenery with food before him and a book in his hand. Both groups were now relaxed, going off to do their own thing. For they knew that no ghouls would dare to attack them again underneath such heavy sunlight.
By 4:30 PM on the dot, the train passed through a familiar yet unfamiliar tunnel.
"Guys, doesn’t this resemble the tunnel we passed through while starting our travels?"
"Yeah. It kind’a does, doesn’t it?"
Several people muttered in complete darkness, as the tunnel ride continued for quite some time.... 45 minutes of time to be precise.
It was incredible that during this time, the train was in the process of cleaning.
Strange butterflies seeped into the train from the place where they typically get their food from. These butterflies flew into every corner and crevice in the cabin, searching for any clues of hidden ghouls or those bitten and infected.
So far, so good...
It seems the check has not revealed any hidden stowaways infected.
