I Will Survive Till The End: Blood Extermination Academy-Chapter 172: The Order Never Means Well
Chapter 172: The Order Never Means Well
Arc 3, Chapter 172—The Order Never Means Well
.
.
Dammit! Levon cursed. ’I should have known that the Order would do anything good for no reason.’
They were clearly lowering their guards for this single moment. Levon’s heart drummed too loudly against his chest as he abruptly jumped out from underneath his sheets.
"I should have known better," He murmured, now rolling to the edge of his bed and reaching for the twin daggers in the drawer.
And then—
BANG! BANG! BANG!
"SOMETHING’S WRONG!"
He hastily banged on everyone’s door. And in no more than 4 seconds, his gang stepped out of their rooms with weapons of their own too.
"Buddy, what’s going–"
"CLOSE ALL Doors And windows!" Levon’s orders echoed with a fiery breeze, causing the group to obey his every word. But it was already too late!
BRACK!~
A terrifying Ghoul with no-eyeballs, burst through the windows of one of the members of the other group. And then, they heard screaming.
Ahhhhhhh~
BRACK! BRACK! BRACK!~
More windows shattered in all directions, including the windows in Levon’s room.
Dammit! They’re HERE!
GREEEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWW~
The ghouls sounded primitive battle cries out, as they flooded min to the cabin from all and any openings they could find.
While still in the corridor space, Artilla swiftly tapped the walls before accelerating with a fierce momentum as she sent forth one send of her nunchucks with murderous intent.
Grawwwwh~
Several ghouls turned to ashes, as she glided between the space like a Fairy.
Hmph! Artilla sneered, doing a perfect summersault forward, curling into a ball while swirling her ends of her nunchucks. Then, she landed in the cabin’s shared space, surrounded by even more Ghouls.
"Shugo! Cover her! Rayna, help the others!"
"Right!" Rayna nodded, fighting her way to the other side of the cabin, with her spiky boomerang at hand. Well, that was the hidden weapon she found in her room.
"You got it Buddy," Shugo acknowledged, rushing to give assistance to Artilla.
"Leo, you’re with me."
~Heh-heh-heh. The corners of Leo’s lips raised high. "I expected much.
Leo punched a ghoul and it turned into ashes. "I guess we’re going to the roof, right?"
Levon nodded, and the duo quickly split up, as though they had already communicated a plan telepathically. Leo will head to the roof from the other team’s side, while he heads to the roof from their end.
Letting his hands reach for his back, Leo sent forth the few spikey discs he found in his room.
Greawwww~
Ghouls turned into ashes, and Leo slid forward on his knees, grabbing the discs that fell, and throwing them back again. Honestly, they didn’t know how long this battle was going to last, so only a fool would exhaust their Shard abilities this early into the battle.
For now, they were testing the waters... testing to see just how particular the enemy was.
The cabin was filled with such ghoulish battle cries from time to time.
Levon twirled the twin blades in his hand, sometimes letting it fly like an arrow forward.
Left, right, up, down, front, back... you name it.
Levon twisted his body to avoid all attacks, catching the hands of some ghouls and smashing them against the other ghouls without mercy. And just like dominos, they fell and collapsed in a silly fashion.
Seeing the Level 1 and 2 ghoul types around him, Levon had a hunch that they must have been sent by a far stronger and superior Ghoul.
During the day, he felt as if they were being watched. At that time, they brushed it off, feeling he might be overly paranoid. But now, he felt his hunch couldn’t be more right. That ominous thing he felt... can it be that it has been chasing them since?
Bam!
Levon smacked another ghoul to death with a dark face.
’If that’s the case, then can it be that these ghouls are sent to also test our current strength?’
—Higher Intelligence!
If his speculations are true, then this means the leader of these ghouls must be a top tier ghoul with far higher intelligence than what they were used to seeing.
Like a general in the army, this Lead Ghoul has decided to send its first-line of attack to see what they are capable of.
Hold on? What is the Leader isn’t actually a Ghoul, but a Lesser Noble?
One must never forget that from strong to weak, Vampires ranked like so:
—Emperor.
—Grand Duke, (10 Levels)
—Duke, (12 Levels)
—Earl, (13 Levels)
—Viscount, (15 Levels)
—Baron, (15 Levels)
—Shain, (20 Levels)
—Half-Shain, (20 Levels)
—Meriq, (25 Levels)
—Half-Meriq, (25 Levels)
—Lesser Noble, (30 levels)
—Ghouls. (4 levels)
...
These were the 12 Hierarchy Vampiric Stages to get to the Top.
One should think of these sublevels in each stage, as a major transformation level each vampire must go through. free𝑤ebnovel.com
For example, for a Ghoul to become a Lesser Noble, they must go through all 4 levels of Transformation and adaptability to enter the 1st stage of a Lesser Noble.
Think of these levels/stages as milestones they must go through. And after A lesser noble at stage 30 progresses, their strength enters the 1st stage of a Half-Meriq.
In the end, the Vampiric Hierarchy of Power is like so. Another important thing to note is that there are ONLY 6 primary Vampire types...
EVERYONE starts off as one of the 6 Ghoul types, before advancing to Lesser noble, Half-Meriq, and so on.
Nevertheless, although there are 6 types of ghouls... There have been times when completely new ghoul types appear.
Just think of these unknown ghoul types as deformities. Even in the human world, everyone knows how a man or a woman comes to be. But sometimes, genetic mutations happen that cause deformities.
The same can be said for the situations with Ghouls.
Every once in a long, long, while, they get a type of ghoul that has never been seen before. And the Order will study and record its strengths and weaknesses for future generations.
When dealing with bizarre ghoul types, many can now recognize what deformed type they are dealing with thanks to the history books.
All in all, the Vampire Hierarchy was often as such. So...
Levon’s eyes spun thoughtfully. ’Who leads these ghouls?’
—A Lesser Noble? Or was it a Peak Level 4 Ghoul?
