I Will Survive Till The End: Blood Extermination Academy-Chapter 165: Improvement
Chapter 165: Improvement
Arc 3, Chapter 165—Improvement
.
.
What an eventful day.
After escaping the pool, their only concern was getting to bed. They had no problem maneuvering across the ground floor and other parts of the mansion during Lights out.
Like ninjas, they moved stealthily till they got back on their beds.
Tonight, many had no choice but to sleep Butt naked. Afterall, they just emerged from the pool soaking wet. They took everything off and did their best to dry themselves out before going to bed.
5... 10... 30 minutes went by and they were all asleep.
However, the pain from earlier grow 50 times heavier, causing them to wake.
Hiss~
Many opened their eyes in shock.
They... they... Were they poisoned too?
?0?
....
Like that, time flew by in the twinkle of an eye.
On the first day after using the Gift from the Order, some people had no choice but to stay in the pools till morning, at least until the Lights Out period was over.
In the pool, so long as you don’t move, no hidden attacks will come your way. Several people had to stay still, staying up all night without sleep.
The poison from the hidden attacks was gruesome, causing them to bite and grit their teeth so hard veins began showing.
Why the hell did it hurt so much even though this wasn’t their first time getting? Many felt they needed wheelchairs to support their bodies for a few hours.
Beads of sweat cloaked their skin, allowing a foul stench to spread out. And just as Winhest said, there were no classes for these days. For those like Levon who were exempted, they stayed in the mansions, focusing on Pool training.
Sometimes, they spent 6 hours or more in the pools. Those rocks signified difficulty levels.
Levon and many others focused on the first difficulty stage, ensuring they could dodge at least 80% of attacks launched.
From 10% success to 43%, it took roughly 4 days for Levon to confidently reach this stage. Then, he continued training, gaining insights and improving his efficiency to 60%.
Like that, several more days flashed by with the atmosphere growing gloomier and gloomier. And before everyone knew it, it was already the eve of Winhest’s final class before the Phase 2 competitions begin.
Levon laid on his bed, sinking deep into his consciousness to check on Yaeger. Sadly, the furry cat was still deep in slumber.
Shaking his head, Levon smirked. ’I wonder what Phase 2 has in store for us.’
How long will the Phase 2 examination hold for? 1 week, 2 days? A month?
While still deep in thought, he joined the snoring Shugo and the silent Leo into a deep slumber.
Dammit, his body was really sore all over. He swore he wasn’t pretending.
The poisons from the hidden weapons haven’t faded yet. And each day he trained, he felt his body growing heavier.
Sigh...
It was hilarious the way Levon rolled on his bed like a hermit crab.
Gritting his teeth, he used all his might to drag his blanket over his head.
Torture... The poison truly stung his body like a viper. His body was breaking down so much he was tempted to cry.
Closing his eyes Levon forced himself to slumber.
And just like that, morning came.
Those bloody chickens were cockle-do-do-do’ing at full lung capacity.
They cried and yelled loudly that Yimu had to open a window and unleash her shard at a few of them.
Bloody Bastards! Can’t you see that people are trying to enjoy their last hour of sleep here?
Well Yimu and many others rose up with dark circles underneath their eyes. But what choice do they have?
Get up, Get up... they heard mother nature loud and clear.
If it wasn’t the strange roosters making it, it was the Whistle doves—birds shaped like actual whistles that flew about without a care in the world.
Levon swore that he only closed his eyes for a millisecond and morning had already come.
Damn, so pitiful.
He followed Leo and Shugo, meeting others along the way who were heading for the baths too.
In no time, they got freshened up and headed for Breakfast, and finally to class.
’It’s been a while...’
Levon felt nostalgic while taking to his seat.
He has missed a total of 3 classes since Winhest’s last emergence. Each class occurs every 3 days, meaning he hasn’t been in this classroom for 9 days now.
Shaking his head wryly, he leaned back into his seat, waiting for Winhest’s arrival.
Many, including Levon, expected Winhest to appear towards the end of Lecture time. But surprisingly, he appeared a few seconds before the Class Began.
Winhest’s laughter rippled across the space. "Well now my little piglets, did you all miss me?"
Winhest walked in with his iconic grin, a grin so eerie it almost made them run to the hills.
This was the last class before Phase 2 begins in 3 days... so what does this guy want to do again?
"Relax, my little Frauleins."
Winhest’s voice bellowed, barely a second before their seats and tables came collapsing down.
Relax? Relax?
’How do you expect them to relax around a dangerous element like you?’
Many muttered, moving fast before their tables collapsed. Soon, the door to the abyss opened and in followed everyone, behind Winhest.
The path was familiar, with many more or less understanding what Winhest’s intentions were.
"Alright," Winhest began with a copy smile. "As you did before, go through the cave and reach its end."
The group nodded, doing as instructed. And this time, their results were far better than before.
Unlike his first results of 194, only 28 poisonous needles were counted on Levon’s body.
That was a huge improvement!
Everyone else also had fewer needles, proving that they more or less grasped some aspects of the Origin Breathing technique.
Winhest raised a brow, his smile growing braider and broader.
"Good... Now you’re ready for Phase 2."
