Arc 2, Chapter 1111—Finally, It’s Time!

—Why is a medallion like a Portal?

—Why is a man without wings?

In life, there were countless unanswered questions. And now, another mystery has been added to the mix.

—Why?... Why is this girl, not only a dual-shard user with Superior Shards, but also an aura user too?

—Why is the heavens adamant in distributing so much talent in just one person?

A lopsided gloom adorned the lips of the masses.

What they wouldn’t give to have what she has.

The fact of the matter is, they were not happy about this.

But while Artilla caught their fancy, an infinitesimal number focused on her opponent.

"Well, isn’t this something..."

Viletta let out a whiff of smoke, her eyes scrutinizing Hendrix like a hawk.

The world seemed so amazed by Artilla’s ability to channel aura, that they didn’t notice that Hendrix had seeped out aura too.

If she was not mistaken, it was a shadow.

Artilla had Blu Fire and Blue Ice auras, while Hendrix had a shadow aura.

’How befitting for one who plays with ink.’

A cunning swirl accumulated in Viletta’s gaze.

BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM!

The duo fought and fought tooth to neck until the last minute—and what a show it was.

"CALL!"

The host stopped them from making another move.

They say self-control is the true show of strength.

Both parties froze their attacks mid-air, landing to the ground softly in an amiable and obedient manner.

One additional move can make them disqualified or automatically forfeit, despite the match already over.

Yet there was no missing the disappointment in their eyes. It seems they would have loved to keep fighting for eternity if they could.

The host’s observant eyes fell on them; and soon... the verdict was announced.

Artiva Ferra vs Hendrix Von L.

"DRAW!"

It was a tie.

Everyone nodded in agreement—These 2 were equally matched throughout their battle.

Even with the naked eye, you can see that their states and appearance after battle were similar, as were their breathing.

Artilla was about to step out of the arena, but turned to Hendrix and gave him a light nod.

Hendrix also nodded in acknowledgement, before walking to the corner to pick up his book and continue his reading.

Both parties officially appreciated each other’s talents in their hearts.

"Hendrix Von L... Artilla Ferra... Hey, the young will indeed surpass the old." stated Gino, one of Gaara’s Lieutenants.

"Indeed, they make my blood a little hot from watching."

"What a good show."

Two other Lieutenants commented, admiring the leaving silhouettes of the 2.

Well, with the second battle over, it was finally time to go into the main course of today’s meal: Battle 1.

...

In the back room, Artilla quickly rushed to Levon, squeezing his hands firmly. "Brother Levon, I believe in you."

She looked like she was suffering from a disastrous calamity with the way she worriedly pouted her lips.

Levon was amused, rubbing her hair gently. "Well, I believe in myself, too."

Hendrix, who emerged behind Artilla, looked his way, only giving him a light but thought-provoking nod.

’Is that guy’s way of encouraging him?’

Since that fateful night of their escape from the mansion after sleeping hours, Hendrix has begun paying even more attention to him.

What’s more, he, Levon, was ranked and placed by the Order to fight with Victorio in the top battle despite his shard coming from Pile 1. So how can Hendrix not focus his attention on him?

Honestly, Levon didn’t know what to make of this.

Why did the Order set him up like this? Even he knew the limits he was currently facing.

He was dumbfounded by the Order’s decision.

In the end when all is said and done, there’s nothing he can do about this right?

After all, as per the rules, none of the Bloodren 10s could question this Order’s decision.

In a nutshell, they were too insignificant to question ANYTHING.

(~Tick-tock. Tick-tock.)

In no time, the snails came out to fix the damaged arena floors, and the floating box soon revealed the full names of the next combatants.

Bahahahahahahah~

The crowd mouths sharpened into dangerous grins.

Can you feel it? Can you feel the thrill in the atmosphere?

This is it!—The final taste of the cake, the best piece of the pie, the cremè de la cremè of today’s fiesta.

The match hadn’t even begun, and their bodies were now riddled in goosebumps.

Victorio Louche Vs Levon Belmont

The words were fixed, and out came the combatants, under the eyes of the masses.

Levon could feel the many eyes on him.

It was as though they were undressing him, with their eyes, and even skinning him alive to see what lurks underneath his body and flesh.

As for the other youth walking beside him... The stunningly good-looking and clear-glass skin Victorio, didn’t wear his usual blue scarf, but a red one.

When the Bloodren 10s first met Victorio, he appeared with: a black turtleneck, a blue scarf tied at his RIGHT elbow, black suit pants, and a single diamond-shaped earring on his LEFT ear.

And now even after dawning the Order’s uniform, he still maintained his desire to wear turtlenecks, sometimes black, other times peach, forest green, and cream white.

The color of his scarves tied at his right elbow, also changed from time to time. But... never has any Bloodren 10 seen him wear red—deep oxblood red.

It was almost as though Victorio was making a statement.

Today, his scarf and his turtleneck were red, as though he was out to KILL.

"What a Pretty boy. This one’s a looker." One of the girl’s in the crowd appraised.

There was just no helping it. Victorio was stunning.

Levon was also surprisingly good looking too.

What was this? Could this be the battle of the Super Models?

...

Victorio Louche Vs Levon BELMONT.

"Hey, Winhest, who do you think will win?"

Many around Winhest looked at him thoughtfully. They expected a prompt answer, but Winhest remained silent, his expression now glass-cold.

For the 2 combatants below... as the Instructor for this year’s Bloodren 10s, how could he not know that the difference in their strengths was like night and day?

Logic told him the answer was clear and simple.

However, his intuition kept spiraling with a primitive warning that made him wonder if he was losing his edge.

So as for who amongst the 2 will emerge victorious...

"Who knows." Winhest answered thoughtfully.
