I Was a Loner, but My Class Got Summoned to Another World…-Chapter 312: Kingdom Report

Satisfied with how the heroes had handled the situation in the labyrinth, Logan returned to his throne.

He settled into the seat, his silver gaze sharpening as Leonard approached, carrying his crystal terminal.

Without wasting time, Leonard began detailing the issues piling up across Highrule — food distribution to the refugees, management of the injured from the war, and the growing logistics of supporting the rebuilding efforts in the Pearl Isles' capital.

"My King," Leonard said, clearing his throat, "we have begun allocating lands for the new lords who are willing to invest in your kingdom."

"This is a matter I've personally overseen, as it involves establishing several key cities within our newly expanded territories."

He paused briefly, scrolling through the data displayed across his terminal.

"Among these projects, we must also prioritize building a major garrison near the labyrinth. The site is gaining rapid recognition as a prime training ground for troops. Even neighboring nations are requesting permission to send their soldiers there to accelerate their military preparations for the ongoing war."

Leonard then handed Logan a list of names — none of which he recognized.

"It is fine," Logan said, after a quick glance. "Let them train there, but warn them about the dangers. It is not like the dungeon in the Kingdom of Elris."

With that settled, he turned his attention back to the reports.

Leonard moved on, summarizing the profiles of the new nobles rising within Highrule. Their capability to manage territory, their accumulated wealth, and their plans to expand influence were emphasized above all else.

"As always, I'll leave these matters to you," Logan said, handing back the crystal with the nobles' details and a map of their assigned lands and the route of the train that will pass through them.

"You know best. And I know you mean well when it comes to this kingdom."

Logan trusted Leonard deeply — especially after the countless crises the young man had resolved in the past.

Besides, Logan didn't have the time to dive into every administrative issue himself.

Not when a more critical mission loomed ahead.

He needed to find a way into the Kingdom of Elris.

Their destination was the city of Gorod, where the Temple of Light was located.

Unlike the previous temples Logan had encountered, the Temple of Light was heavily guarded — not just by magical barriers, but by priests who raised and protected the light-elemental creatures that dwelled nearby.

A small sacred forest bordered the temple grounds. It was there Logan hoped to find and tame his next creature — one blessed by the power of light.

He had already begun planning who he would bring along.

Lisa was the obvious choice. As the Church of Light's pride and joy, she would be welcomed without question.

Kryst needed to come as well. Being a creature of light himself, exposure to the temple's sacred energies would only strengthen him.

And Silvia — her teleportation magic was indispensable. If anything went wrong inside Gorod, they would need a quick escape route.

Logan briefly considered taking Marie, the Hero of Illusion, but ultimately decided against it.

She needed to stay behind in Highrule to continue leveling up. Sitting at level 78, she was only two levels away from reaching 80 — a critical milestone that would unlock her next evolution.

Logan refocused, tuning back into Leonard's report.

The assistant continued, shifting to broader concerns — the instability of the world economy, and how Highrule was beginning to feel its effects.

The Red Iron Republic and the Empire, two of the continent's largest powers, were both struggling to recover from the previous demon general assaults.

Their weakened economies and fractured armies had already started shifting trade routes, political alliances, and refugee flows — disruptions Highrule would need to navigate carefully to maintain stability.

Logan tapped his fingers thoughtfully against the throne's armrest.

"About that," he said, interrupting Leonard's report, "was there any more news about the hero who was taken by the demon generals?"

Leonard hesitated for a moment, his face tightening slightly.

"No, my King. We suspect he has already been killed," he said quietly.

"There's been no message. No ransom demand. No contact of any kind. That is... likely the most probable outcome."

Leonard bowed his head slightly.

"Forgive me."

Logan said nothing for a moment, simply watching Leonard, who looked visibly unsettled.

He understood why.

The other heroes rarely spoke of their fallen classmate — a silent wound they all carried, an ever-present reminder of their mortality.

They still showed fear of meeting the same fate.

"Don't worry," Logan said at last, his voice calm.

"In my opinion, it was a great loss... but look how hard the others are working now. It gave them the motivation they needed to get serious and truly work together."

The two spoke quietly for a while longer.

Soon, the heroes returned, making Logan cut the conversation short.

"Congratulations on reaching level 80," Logan said warmly, greeting Lisa with a hug and a soft kiss as the group entered the mansion.

Each of his classmates seemed eager to head straight for the baths before settling down to eat.

Lisa, however, lingered behind.

Leonard excused himself politely, leaving the two alone.

Lisa then perched casually on the armrest of Logan's throne, her bright silver eyes watching him closely before she put her head on his shoulder to rest.

"So, tell me," Logan said slowly, "what's your new quest about? I hope it isn't as difficult as mine. You should know, I wouldn't mind if you took the reward again."

He chuckled, thinking about how she had beaten everyone to the job change quest at level 40 and earned the previous reward and how it had helped him get the light mana elixir that brought Kryst to level 80 easily.

Lisa smiled lightly but shook her head.

"It is... difficult, in a way," Lisa admitted, pulling up the quest notification that had appeared after her latest level-up and started to explain.

"My next class will be more battle-oriented," she whispered in his ear, making him flinch slightly as her breath tickled him.

"So I won't need to rely on others to keep me safe anymore."

"Sounds dangerous," Logan replied with a grin, "but if it helps you stay safe, then I'm glad."

He chuckled, pulling up his own quest screen to understand what he would change into.

"Besides, it gives us a great excuse to head to the Temple of Light — I need a light-based creature too."
