I Wanted A Typical Fantasy Isekai, Not This!-Chapter 78: Galea’s Surprise…
Chapter 78: Galea’s Surprise...
The Cromwell estate was a blur of activity for the next few days.
Soldiers rushed off into the woods after duty too train themselves. Craftsmen from all over the kingdom flocked to the estate for the various assignments Madeline was creating.
The word in duchy about the Cromwell family was that they were the best nobles to serve and live under. This prompted people from other duchies to abandon their homes and look for a better life in this one.
James sat at his desk tapping his fingers in thought while looking out his opened window.
’I have a contact in Duskmoor who’s my servant... Bashi keeps me updated on the situation regularly, so I’m not particularly concerned about a war with the Orcs anymore...’
He kept thinking, trying to make sure he had everything set up so that his sisters would succeed without him there. So that his people would succeed without him. James had started to really feel the significance of his title as a Prince recently and it stressed him out a little.
’Public opinion of us high and the soldiers are motivated... what am I missing? Why do I feel like I don’t have the full picture?’
His source of unease was of course the witch cult. He didn’t think they would stand idly by while he prepped for the future.
James always glanced at his character sheet too; Justine was a mystery he couldn’t solve. He felt her die. She was cold and unmoving but... damn it. He couldn’t figure it out; he didn’t even have the slightest clue as to what happened with her.
’I grieved for her! Argh.. this is pointless.. I’m going in circles.’
The other matters that concerned him were those scouts from the Unclaimed Land. Who knows what they were up to.
Same with the Elven kingdom and Ravenstar, the peace was maintained, but for how long. There weren’t any rumors circulating about dark deeds from either country so James let that matter drop.
He felt hands on his shoulders and jumped a little when Veronica’s face appeared next to his.
He gave her a kiss and smiled.
"What’s up? You look beautiful today I must say, did you change your braid?"
Veronica blushed and nodded happily.
"I didn’t think you would notice.. Oh! The reason I disturbed you is that Galea said she’s ready to show you your new weapon!"
James paused for a moment, then grinned.
"It’s only been three days, how’d she manage to make it so fast? Thanks for letting me know!"
Veronica helped him up and they started walking out of his room. James turned to her before opening the door and hugged her.
He was truly stunned by her beauty each time he saw her and wanted to take a moment to cherish her.
His hand trailed along the scars on her face and tucked some lose hair behind her ear.
James was less than a foot shorter than her now, so it wasn’t too awkward of a move.
"Is there something on my face.."
Veronica was red faced as she stared down at him and James replied with a big smile.
"Sorry, you just enchant me every time I see you. I don’t understand how it’s possible for someone to be so pretty."
His sweet words made the tall woman stagger a little and he laughed.
Emily was outside the door and had been obviously eavesdropping because she pushed into the room then.
"That’s not fair! Compliment me too.."
James took her and Veronica’s hand and placed them in his chest then. He spoke with a warm smile.
"Do you girls feel that, feel how fast it’s beating? I’m still nervous around you two because of insanely beautiful you both are. I still can’t believe you’re mine, I really do love you two."
The women froze for a moment and reddened further. They nodded to each other and bent down. Placing a kiss on both cheeks, they giggled when James blushed back.
"So... you can make a cute face like that to. I love you too James." Emily spoke with a wonderfully bright expression.
"I-I love you too! Really James, I’m so happy I can stand beside you and that you accept me as your woman." Veronica chimed in frantically, trying not to be left out.
James laughed and embraced them; Galea was going to have to wait a little while longer. The three undressed and headed to the large bed.
James let his unease fade while he pounded Veronica’s huge ass and he was at peace by the time Emily laid underneath him, her fat tits jiggling crazily.
Veronica sulked a little afterwards, Emily had won the right to carry James to Galea by winning this worlds version of rock paper scissors.
He had started to really think of this place as his home now as maids greeted him cheerfully and guards saluted proudly.
’I wish I could thank Myen’tal personally for sending me here, what a truly benevolent goddess...’
When they reached Galea’s workshop, she was ecstatic and pushed them inside.
"Come on, come on! Look at this kiddo, I’ve outdone myself this time!"
She walked over to the middle of the shop and pulled a large sheet off a stand. James’s mouth dropped open when he saw what was under it.
A huge double headed war hammer shone brilliantly. It had a black handle and gold inlays, matching his family’s uniform color.
It looked heavy and mean, James shuddered to think what it could do to someone if he swung it at full force.
"Go on now! [Identify] it and tell me just how amazing I am! Hahaha!"
Galea laughed like a fool while displaying her creation and James remembered why this woman had infuriated him when they first met.
He did as she said though and his mouth opened wider.

"Holy shit!"
Gales laughed even harder and praised herself for being so capable.
James didn’t even mind as he stared at the weapon that was soon to be his.
’That’s a fucking heroic rarity weapon! I only saw a couple of those when I played Fractured Worlds...’
He then looked at Galea with newfound respect. She had created an insanely valuable weapon in just three days! This woman was master of her craft!
He walked over and pulled the jubilant woman into a hug.
"Galea, you are incredible! How did you manage to make that, that fast!?"
She hugged him back and kept laughing like a madwoman.
"Hahaha! Wasn’t too hard pipsqueak, especially being able to use your family’s money to buy whatever materials I wanted! I just got a little lucky during the mold process and implemented the metal ratios better than I expected. You can thank your sister for setting me up with a good inscriptionist which those enchanted skills."
James was in disbelief and hugged the woman harder.
"But still!? A heroic rarity?! That’s outstanding, I didn’t think you’d be done this soon much less making something so awesome!"
Galea preened happily at his admiration.
"Well since it’s just a hammer, the main portion of the weapon was made really quickly. The longest part was etching the enchantments in it, nothin’ to it really."
James could see through her lie. Heavy dark circles under her eyes told him that she had been pushing herself hard for him.
"You’re a treasure Galea, I’m glad you came here."
She coughed a little and got somewhat embarrassed that James wasn’t refuting her self-praise and instead giving her more.
"Tell me, what do you want as a reward for making me such a spectacular thing?"
Gales shifted in his arms nervously and her voice was a lot smaller than before when she responded.
"Well umm.. I don’t really need anything... my contract states—"
"Oh to hell with the contract, I want to reward you personally! Don’t be shy you old hag, tell me what you want."
"Well.. if you insist.. could you maybe.. if you’re not too busy.. you know.. again.."
James raised an eyebrow at her incoherent rambling.
"You’re gonna have to say that again, I understood literally none of it."
Gales flushed them and looked away.
"Well, you know.. your quota.. could I maybe.. have another spot..."
James looked at her completely dumbfounded.
"Pick something else, I was going to do that regardless." freēwēbnovel.com
Her eyes went wide and she stammered, "Y-you were gonna.. do me again anyway?"
James nodded seriously.
"You’re my woman you know? That means I’ll always make time for you. So go on then, what else do you want?"
"I could use a new anvil.. that one you just bought got pretty beat up when I went to form that weapon."
James shook his again.
"Pick something else, if your tools break or get damaged, you can replace them anytime."
Galea seemed to genuinely have a hard time of thinking of something she wanted. Her expression turned flustered, and she yelled at him.
"You little runt, there’s nothing that I want! You trying to piss me off or something!? Just come and spend some time with me every so often! Damn you! Makin’ me say something so embarrassing at my age... hurry up and take your weapon."
James just held her close and smiled.
He gave her forehead a quick kiss and said, "You’re so cute."
He squeezed her ass and let her go, turning to wield his new toy.
He was awestruck when he lifted the massive war hammer and wondered if it would be more apt to call it a maul.
The surge of power he felt holding it made him feel like a god. His strength shot up to a total of 80 with the bonus from his title active as well. His physical resistance was also at +40% if the title and weapon stacked, he’d have to ask someone about that later.
James remembered the quality of difference his speed and strength had felt after hitting 50 and wondered if 100 would do the same.
He didn’t notice anything when his constitution hit 50 and hoped there was a hidden bonus attached to it.
Growing excited, he left the smithy with a spring in his step, not hearing Galea ramble about how she wasn’t cute.
His next stop had been decided; James led their trio to the barracks training ground.
He had a lot of things he wanted to test before the academy.
