Chapter 1123 -1122: The Four Heavenly Kings

“You killed the Myriad Flowers Fairy just for this small world?” Xu Zimei inquired.

“Brother Dao seems to underestimate the value of this small world,” Xuan Xie said with a smile.

“A small world is the lingering land of ancient times.

Inside there are many ancient heritages; whether it’s to understand the ancient era in the quickest way, or as a resource for cultivation, it’s the best there is.

Ever since our ancestor opened up this small world, millions of years have passed, and our exploration of this world has only reached halfway.

Ever since the Myriad Flowers Fairy came, she has brazenly seized the heritages and injured our disciples.

We have all seethed with anger in silence, and now your arrival is the perfect opportunity.”

“What is your plan?” Xu Zimei inquired.

“Brother Dao has agreed,” Zhang Bei said with a smile.

“If the four of us go together, I’m afraid it would make too big of a target and alarm the enemy.

Brother Dao can pretend not to have encountered us, and go alone. Once you reach the Valley of a Hundred Flowers and meet the Myriad Flowers Fairy, summon us to come.

As he spoke, Zhang Bei handed a token to Xu Zimei.

He explained, “This token is a transmission token. Once crushed, it will automatically bring us to your side.”

Xu Zimei took the token and nodded slightly.

Originally, he was prepared to face the Xuanyuan family and the Myriad Flowers Fairy head-on, but now having a few helpers was also quite favorable.

As for trusting what Zhang Bei and the others said, he never had any trust to begin with.

Alliances based on interest are the least sturdy.

Whoever offers more benefits gets the cooperation; this is a truth that has existed since ancient times.

The world hustles and bustles, with interests coming and going.

After a brief chat with Zhang Bei and the others, Xu Zimei left.

The area has now arrived at Zhennan Pass.

The continuous fortifications vanish at the end of the sightline; one could say that Zhennan Pass is completely uninhabited.

According to Zhang Bei, there are four passes at Edge of the Sky, End of the Sea: east, south, west, and north.

The Demon Sect controls Zhendong Pass, the Zen Sect controls Zhenxi Pass, and Bianfu Hall controls Zhenbei Pass.

As for Zhennan Pass, and even the areas beyond it, they are all under the control of the Myriad Flowers Fairy.

There are four Great Kings guarding Zhennan Pass.

Originally, before the Myriad Flowers Fairy arrived, these four Great Kings were appointed by the Western Region’s Brahma Sect.

Latterly, all four Great Kings actually defected to the Myriad Flowers Fairy and guarded Zhennan Pass on her behalf.

This is something the Western Region’s Brahma Sect still broods over. If the situation continues to develop, it might indeed one day threaten the standing of the Brahma Sect.

From the attitude of the Western Region’s Brahma Sect, Xu Zimei could make some guesses.

Perhaps the Brahman Demon Great Saint is not here.

It’s possible that even the Western Region’s Brahma Sect itself doesn’t know where their ancestor has gone.

With the reemergence of Witch Demons and the Myriad Flowers Fairy suppressing a region, the current Western Region’s Brahma Sect likely no longer possesses such formidable strength.

Walking into Zhennan Pass, various ancient buildings rise from the ground.

There are residences shaped like flying cranes, statues of crowing Nine-Headed Birds, and palaces bathed in a myriad of hues from the dawn light.

It is visible that this place was once prosperous.

However, now, whilst the buildings of yore still stand, not a single soul is to be seen.

The autumn wind whistles by, occasionally lifting a few fallen leaves from the ground.

The wind swirls along the ground, and the dead trees sway on both sides of the road.

As Xu Zimei steps into the city gate, a strong breeze meets him.

Suddenly, four figures appear on the once empty street.

These four figures have an imposing demeanor, each wearing robes of the same design but in different colors.

The high collars of the robes stand erect, in black, white, purple, and red respectively.

On the back of each robe, an image of a ghostly head is engraved.

“Pagoda Holder, Rosha, Purgatory, Deathward, the four Heaven Kings are here, all who approach shall halt.”

The authoritative voice echoed within the empty Zhennan Pass.

With a step forward from the four, a “rumble” sounded, the earth trembled, and willow catkins fell.

Pagoda Holder, the Heaven King, grasped the Heaven-reaching Tower,

Rosha, the Heaven King, held the Cloud-following Sword,

Purgatory Heaven King wielded the Kala Divine Mace,

Deathward, the Heaven King, had a Demon Hunting Fox slung over his shoulder.

The four occupied the entire path, their overwhelming suppression bearing down.

Only to hear Deathward, the Heaven King, speak: “Entering Zhennan Pass requires a token, do you have one?”

“No token, I have a blade, would you like one?” Xu Zimei drew his Tyrant Shadow from behind, saying with a calm smile.

“Kill,” came the furious rebuke from the four Heaven Kings as their figures swiftly charged towards Xu Zimei.

Xu Zimei set down the Tyrant Shadow he carried on his shoulder. With a “boom,” the ground beneath his feet cracked with countless fissures.

Shards of rock erupted, and Xu Zimei took a step, currents chaotically surging beneath his feet.

The Tyrant Shadow trailed behind as he dragged the blade.

Rosha, the Heaven King, holding the Cloud-following Sword, generated a sword blade storm, turning into tornadoes that uprooted the surrounding buildings.

The Cloud-following Sword collided with the Tyrant Shadow.

A surge of Jing Qi spread out between the two men, and another multitude of web-like cracks sprawled beneath their feet.

“Suppression,” intoned Pagoda Holder, the Heaven King, with a cold voice.

The Heaven-reaching Tower he held in his hands magnified by hundreds of times, a beam of light shining down from the bottom of the tower towards Xu Zimei.

Xu Zimei’s figure swiftly retreated, the Heaven-reaching Tower relentlessly following him.

“Demon Hunting Fox, go,” uttered Deathward, the Heaven King, lightly. The fox on his shoulder also grew a hundredfold in size.

With bared teeth, it pounced towards Xu Zimei.

Xu Zimei snorted coldly, and his Tyrant Shadow spun in the void. His body slightly shifted to the side, narrowly dodging the Demon Hunting Fox’s attack.

In the moment of passing by, he suddenly grabbed the tail of the Demon Hunting Fox and harshly threw it at the overhead Heaven-reaching Tower.

The Blade Intent in his hand dominated, a relentless Blade Intent condensed, and as the long blade fell, Rosha, the Heaven King’s Cloud-following Sword, was suddenly broken.

A “snap” sound.

Without slowing down, the Tyrant Shadow continued its unstoppable advance.

And fiercely split Rosha, the Heaven King, into two halves.

Then, he stretched out his right hand, unleashing the Finger of Heaven-Swallowing Creation.

Endless Swallowing Power twisted around his fingertip.

Around the right hand, a vast expanse of void completely collapsed.

The fingertip turned into a dark radiance of a black hole, meeting the Heaven-reaching Tower with an irresistible force.

A tremendous explosion “boom” resonated.

The sky completely burst open, and Pagoda Holder, the Heaven King, was sent flying out.

Xu Zimei’s figure pivoted, charging towards Deathward, the Heaven King.

“Demon Hunting Fox, save me,” cried Deathward, the Heaven King, in terror.

But as the Demon Hunting Fox had just pounced towards him, it was kicked away by Xu Zimei.

Xu Zimei grabbed Deathward, the Heaven King’s robe, and flung it towards the last Heaven King, Purgatory.

Purgatory Heaven King let out a deeply cold snort.

Wrapped in Spiritual Energy, strange cries emanated from his mouth.

His body gradually bulged, and eight arms grew from his shoulders.

Wielding the Kala Divine Mace, with each swing, ripples spread across the void around him.

“The rage of Kala,” he roared.

Behind him, the void shattered forth.
