I Become Master of Danger Zones as Incubus With Mastery In Genetic-Chapter 779 - 199
The Duke wore the same get up, except, his was an enchanted armor, giving better protection than what the Guardian of Hex had, while blocking Magic more effectively.
Of course, the Guardian of Hex also prepared for Spells being thrown at their direction. They are not amateur after all. However, they did not have enough funds to afford a full-on enchanted armor like the Duke could.
Instead, they wore a special accessory in the form of a necklace. One that create a simple anti-Magic barrier, weakening Spells thrown at their direction. Not the best in defending against any Spells, even a simple one, but any form of protection is better than none.
Besides the Duke, General Lazil wore the same get-up as Duke Phorus, except like decorative. The younger man's armor lack certain detail like the Duke had, which make sense considering the difference in their status.
Still, General Lazil still possessed an enchanted armor, which can weaken Spells, even to the point of making it dissipate before making contact with their armor.
Behind the general, his elite force also prepared themselves. Similar on number of Guardian of Hex, the entourage of General Lazil was around 20 people, all of them wearing enchanted armor of their own, though one of lower quality compared to the two leaders.
It's unsurprising since his entourage is Lazil's personal elites, his bodyguards, if one could call it that.
Half of them are B-rankers, while the other half are A-rankers, showing the difference in effort in cultivating their personal force.
Then again, unlike Duke Phorus, who need to worry about an entire Duchy, General Lazil, while having lower source of collective income compared to the Duke, could afford to train more elites than Duke Phorus, who had to worry about a larger army, plus his territory.
Despite the difference in power, Duke Phorus was glad, as it would make the rescue smoother.
"I will leave my Army Marshal to command the force outside." Duke Phorus told the General, who replied,
"I will have my second-in-command to do the same."
The A-rankers left behind would be leading the armies gathered, one that can easily plug any attempt of escape, something the Duke worried about.
With their preparation finished, the two leaders ordered their men to march into the Danger Zone.
"Guardian, march!"
"Soldiers! March!"

Alros look from the shadow. Being a Demon Lord, he could easily avoid any detection by any A-ranker, and that's without using Darkness Magic to hide himself even better.
He decided to sneak to the entrance, and see what the Duke is up to.
The Demon Lord was not surprise, as a small group of elites entered the Danger Zone.
Normally, such small numbers, which had around more than 10 A-rankers, would be enough to clear out a Tier 2 Danger Zone. Except, Hexun Cavern is a Tier 3.
The Elder Earth Elemental could easily crushed the entire group without breaking a sweat. The monster did not even need to do it itself. Sending some of its stronger children would lead to the group being overwhelmed and crushed by literal moving boulders.
Of course, the Elder Earth Elemental did not even need to make a move, or even order its children to do so. The Witches were more than enough, with deep grudges that will be perfect motivation for them to slaughter and torture the elites of Hex Duchy. And Ravus Kingdom. He almost forget about them.
"Maybe I should crush the one outside first." Alros looked at the gathered armies. Sending some of his armies would lead to the destruction of Hex Duchy entire military.
Though, he wondered, if the Elder Witches would like to do the honor in killing them all.
"I let them decide."
Duke Phorus looked around, wary for any kind of monsters inhabiting the cavern. Other did the same, knowing to be wary for the monsters in the deep.
Even if some of the monsters are weaker than them, being ambushed in the dark is something no one wished to happen. More so when said attack his unprotected part of their bodies.
Fortunately, their weapons had been sufficiently enchanted, so it will let a soft glow. Not enough to blind anyone looking at the weapon directly, but enough to light up the dark caverns.
One of the few preparations they have made.

"Lord Phorus, we will be reaching the end of the first floor, before descending deeper." One of Guardian of Hex told the blonde man.
The Duke nodded. Another thing he had been preparing for is the mapping of Hexun Cavern's inside. Sending weaker soldiers to explore the upper floors allowed the mapping to be finished, or what can be considered as finish, in a short amount of time.
It's the deeper floor that is the issue. The deeper into the Hexun Cavern, the stronger the monsters. There is a line that had been made by the soldiers, warning those after them, that none had pass the line and survive. At least those who pass the line and enter the deeper part. Those that step over the line before fleeing did not count, obviously.
The Duke once send some of his elites to map the deeper part. However, the endeavor, while not failing fully, it could also not be described as successful.
Only a small portion of the deeper part that managed to be imparted by the elite squads. They did not get any more information, unfortunately, as the monsters just too much for them, forcing them to memorize what they can see before telling others and hoping they could understand.
Not the best information, but anything is better than nothing at this point.
'We should easily pass through the monsters here, though caution is still advised.' The blonde man thought, as his blue orbs scanned the area.
Sure enough, some Cave Bats, large bats the size of small children at their largest, dive towards them.
At the sight of diving Cave Bats, his entourage did not scatter. Instead, they walked in front of him, before taking out small shields. The small shields soon emit a white glow, which soon covered
