House of The Dragon-A God Amongst Men-Chapter 109 - 80 A.Chapter III
Chapter 109 - 80 A.C. III
(Drakken's POV)
I looked up to see the sky, hearing the roar of the Storm God as the downpour did not let up.
"My Lord...." Mya said, "How long does it need to be like this? There are starting to be complaints...."
I held a telekinetic barrier around us, keeping the downpour from hitting us. Riktor stood by my side as we all stood in the middle of the field outside the Castle. I was focusing on the magic power that was being given off by the draconic beast. There was a serious surge of power that was spreading throughout the sky.
I could feel it all throughout the air; there was a reaction happening. I did not understand it completely but ever since I completely finished it, its power was forcing a shift and change in the atmosphere.
It was as if its mere existence was causing a resurgence of magic in this land. Mya had told me that there was once an abundance of magic in Westeros and it had long since disappeared, only leaving remnants that were some magic-users like Greenseers and others.
Perhaps my creation was too strong and worked far better than I could ask for. Well, I will not complain. If The Storm God was able to create a reaction or a spark of power in the fabric of this reality, that will open up doors.
I am the source of the magic that my draconic beasts, me and my experiments. My Ether is constantly regenerating, I am a constant source of magic power. Ever since I got my fair share of draconic magic, via draining the Targaryens and their Dragons, I was able to constantly generate more and more Ether.
Not only that, but I also used the Obelisk to fuel my power and convert it into Draconic Power. The Dark Shade as well, it will act as a massive power source, fueling my draconic beasts. And if their power can cause a reaction like The Storm God's, then my plan will go along faster than I had hoped for.
And my children will be the key to it.
"The Storm God is a dragon." I said simply as I looked up at the sky, "I control dragons. I am a Dragon God. It will go on as long as I will it....and Now....."
I snapped my fingers. Seconds after, the sound of thunder slowly died down and the downpour stopped, leaving nothing but a calm rain.
"In an instant..." She said, "You control the Storm God...and by controlling it, you control the Skies....simply magnificent, My Lord...I...."
There was a loud and deafening growl, one that shook the air. I narrowed my eyes when there was a thunderclap, a quick one that was nowhere near as loud as the previous ones. Then, a flash of lightning, illuminating a portion of the sky and revealing a massive serpentine shadow in the clouds.
I saw it; the Storm God in silhouette. I saw its massive wings extended outwards. In that brief second, I saw its massive body coiled in the air, its wings flapping and I was able to make out the field of swirling wind it had around it.
The silhouette disappear and I saw a bit of its body burst through the clouds, a faint white and grey color on its scales and a bit of a feathers from its wings.
I looked at Riktor, he was staring up at the sky in awe, "You could have this one, son." I told him, "You could be the ruler of the skies. But you chose the land?"
He nodded, "Yes."
Riktor, despite being so young, had developed an advanced intelligence. It is as if he has inherited my experience, at least a bit of it. He had explained to me what he wanted his personal wyvern to do and I must say, it is quite a childish request.
To give up the sky for the land, to terrorize our enemies with nothing put absolute power.
I cannot be surprised, he is a child.
And I find it amusing; so I will get it done.

I chuckled, "You are an amusing one." I said, "Well, I cannot wait to see you on the battlefield, my son."
"Should we go back?" Mya asked me
"Sure." I said, "Get Brynden ready, though. Have Jon write to him, and tell him we are moving the Storm God in a few days. When that happens, the Duskguard will be there to clean up."
"So it is happening?" She asked, "You are moving down to Dorne?"
"Those fools have done the unthinkable, they waged war on the Targaryens in my name." I said, "Without my permission? They were to disrupt my plans. I have no idea why they backed out at the last second. They figured that since Jaehaerys sent his dragons, I would have an urge to interfere. Foolish Martells, they don't understand that I only act when I feel like it."
"This will break peace." Mya said
"No, it will not." I said, "Dorne is technically not part of the Seven Kingdoms, they are not part of the deal. This could be good for Jaehaerys. If I can have Dorne submit to him, he will no longer have to worry about them. And it will be good for us, he will owe me and the Lannisters will overtake the trading systems we have set up."
"They shut down the lanes that Tyland Lannister set up." Mya said with a chuckle, "I knew you were annoyed at that."
"That is why I put a child in Daranne, to make sure that Lannister knows his place and puts pressure on the Martells." I said, "Enough of that, let us go back. I will ensure that this one does not destroy the surrounding area with its storm."
"It is too strong."
*************
Maegelle looked at me as she sat down, holding Sylas in her arms, "Lord Riktor chose his egg?" She asked, "I was wondering where you were...."
I looked at the babe, he was looking up at the ceiling with an apathetic look, "Where is Daranne?" I asked, "Why are you holding him?"
"Lady Daranne is sleeping. She felt tired." She said, "And.....is that not my duty? To care for your sons when their mothers cannot?"
"Hm..." I walked over to her, placing my hand on her shoulder, "If that is what you say..."
She looked at me with her beautiful purple eyes, "Is there an issue, My Lord?"
"You know what the issue is." I told her, "Why must I put children on other women who are not my Ladies...when I can do that with you?"
"I..." She said softly, "You said I could choose if I a-"
"Make no mistake." I said, "I may be against it, but I will respect your choice."
She nodded, "Thank you."
"But I want you to understand." I said, "That when the time comes, Saera will be mine. I do not wish to make you think that I will choose her..."
"I thought you wanted to drain her magic." She asked
"Well, yes." I said as I stepped away, "But I have no guarantee I will stop at that."
"I see...." She said as she looked at Sylas, "Lord Sylas is a quiet one....he is like Lord Riktor in that regard....but his eyes....they scare me."
I looked at the babe, he was merely staring into nothing. I could tell he was fine, his heartbeat was normal for a baby, his breathing was stable. He was just looking into nothing. Which was indeed a strange thing for a child to do.
He made no effort to reach for something, he was just completely still. Riktor would often reach for Maegelle's hair and as well as Mya's whenever they held him like that. Even now, that one could be very energetic.
Sylas is very still and his stare would feel cold.
I shrugged, "He is a child." I told her, "There is nothing to worry about."
"Lord Drakken...." Maegelle said
I looked at her, "Yes?"
"Should my brothers come...." she said, "Can you promise me that you will not be hostile?"
"Why should I not be?" I asked
"Enough blood has been shed in these halls, My Lord." She said, "You promised peace."
"You forget that I am no ordinary man." I said, "Chaos and violence is what gives me pleasure, you should be awa-"
"I am asking you nicely." She said softly
Her eyes....they stared at me....
This woman has become so beautiful in the past two years that I could not help but be mesmerized by it. It is her that has made me so soft, so soft that I have admitted to both Mya and Daranne that they are dear to me.
It is unlike me.
She reminds me....
She reminds me of Athena.....
Athena.....she has also made me soft.
Viktor himself told me it was a weakness and that I should cut that tumor out.
But I cannot.
Why?
"Fine." I said as I turned around, "But I expect Aemon to have a payment ready...."
"Or he knows what will happen."
