The swamp had transformed into a nightmare. The skeletal colossus loomed over the ZETU team, its glowing eyes piercing through the mist. Around them, more undead began to rise from the water, their fleshless forms dripping with swamp muck, their movements eerily silent.

"Stay tight!" Marcus "Iron Will" Kane commanded, his shotgun aimed squarely at the colossus. "Riley, find its weak spot!"

"On it!" Riley "Quick Shot" Bennett scrambled to higher ground, perching on a gnarled tree root. She peered through her scope, scanning the towering figure.

"It's got some kind of core in its chest," she shouted. "Looks like it's drawing power from the swamp!"

"Blaze, you're up!" Marcus ordered.

Jenna "Blaze" Hart nodded, hoisting her flamethrower. She pushed forward, clearing the smaller revenants with bursts of fire, each one hissing as it dissolved into ash.

"Cover her!" Marcus barked, and Derek "Shield" Coleman stepped in, his riot shield deflecting strikes from the advancing undead.

Meanwhile, Detective Lila "Huntress" Navarro moved silently through the fog, her dual pistols taking down stragglers. "I'll circle around," she said through the comms. "If that core is exposed, I can get a clean shot from the side."

The swamp fought back. Thick, grasping vines erupted from the water, dragging Jenna down before she could reach the colossus. "I'm stuck!" she yelled, struggling against the swamp's grip.

"Hold on!" Derek shouted, slamming his shield into the vines to free her. "This place is alive!"

Ethan "Brain" O'Connor was working furiously on his tablet, scanning for patterns. "It's not just alive—it's feeding off the swamp water. If we can dry this place out, we'll cut off its energy source!"

"How do we dry out a swamp?" Marcus asked, firing into the approaching horde.

"There's an underground reservoir beneath us," Ethan replied. "If we blow it, the water will drain, and the swamp will collapse!"

Marcus nodded. "Blaze, you got any more charges?"

Jenna grinned, pulling a satchel of explosives from her pack. "Always."

"Good. Plant them near that central mound," Marcus ordered.

The team moved in unison, carving a path through the undead. Riley provided cover from above, her sniper shots precise and deadly. Jenna worked quickly, placing charges along the base of the mound.

The colossus roared, its massive hand crashing down in an attempt to crush them. Derek intercepted, his shield absorbing the blow. "It's too strong!" he shouted.

"Almost done!" Jenna called, setting the final charge.

"Lila, take the shot at the core!" Marcus ordered.

From the shadows, Lila emerged, her pistols aimed at the glowing chest of the colossus. Two precise shots struck the core, causing the creature to stagger.

"Fire in the hole!" Jenna yelled, detonating the charges.

The swamp erupted in a violent surge of water and mud as the reservoir collapsed. The colossus let out a deafening roar before crumbling into the muck, its glow extinguished.

As the water drained and the undead fell lifeless, the team regrouped, battered but victorious.

"Another day, another nightmare," Marcus said, wiping swamp water from his face. "Good work, ZETU."

"Let's get out of here before this place decides to fight back," Jenna muttered.

The team retreated, the swamp falling silent behind them. But the faint glow of the effigy's remains hinted that their battle with the undead was far from over.
