Healing System-Chapter 302: Bowling, Archery, and Clothes Shopping
They were currently inside a bowling alley, and from the looks of things, Lila sucked at it.
She was strong, sure.
But each time she rolled the bowling ball, it shattered on impact—almost like she put too much pressure onto it earlier.
"Lila... Please, I'm going broke here," Michael complained.
Yes, she offered to pay.

But when he looked at it from another perspective, a man paying for something was objectively more romantic than having the woman do it.
Or I might just be overthinking things... Either way, the ore is not going to disappear for a little while longer, so I hope she doesn't break any more bowling balls—
—BOOOOM
Debris blasted outward, destroying not only the bowling ball, but also the screens monitoring their scores.
Oh, and added to the fact—she destroyed what was left of the last bowling ball.
Good fucking shit, Lila, now bowling is off the table, Michael thought, his brow twitching as he approached.
"Hmm... I don't get why they were so weak? I held back as much as I could," Lila muttered, turning to him. "Michael? It's your turn now, right? Go ahead."
"My turn? My turn was 20 turns ago," he sighed. "Did you have fun?"
"Not really," Lila replied with a shrug. "I tried having fun, but those balls were way too easy to break."
"Okay... Archery? Do you want to try that instead? Compound bows are a bit harder to break, but if you hold back... it should be just perfect," Michael suggested.
"Mmm... Yeah, okay, that sounds fun," Lila agreed with a smile.
Therefore, Michael told her to wait for a moment, as he walked over to the cashier—who was foaming from the mouth in shock—and placed a few ores down on the desk.
Then, he made his way back to Lila, grabbed her hand, and gently interlaced their fingers together before moving on to the next area.
Archery wasn't that far away, after all—since this city was so massive, most stuff was sorted on one long street.
Whether it was a boutique, a flower shop, a sex toy shop, or even a grocery store, he could find many of them in between each other.
And as for the archery range, it was slightly to the side, with a massive green field ready.
He went over to the person in charge and paid for an hour before heading over to Lila and bringing back two bows.
Sadly, no compound bows were present, but despite that, the normal bows seemed to be crafted pretty well, so he didn't need to worry about them in the slightest.
They wouldn't break—or not as easily, anyway.
"You might not know how to pull back the bow, so I'll show you," Michael offered as he began approaching her.
However, Lila merely stretched her hand out, stopping him.
Then, she pulled out a single arrow from the quiver, nocked it, and fired it at such a rapid speed and precision that it pierced clean through the target and flew outward, hitting the massive stone wall behind it.
Well god fucking damn, Michael whistled. She knows archery—I definitely didn't expect that.
"Have you learned archery before?" Michael asked, just in case.
"A bit. When I was young, my sister taught me a thing or two," Lila replied, her expression slightly souring.
However, before the atmosphere got too shitty, Michael took out an arrow of his own and shot it right at the target dummy in the distance.
Just like Lila, he had hit it straight through the head.
Obviously, the power was slightly less than hers, but it was still impressive nonetheless.
Or so he thought—but she didn't seem that impressed, as she even let out a yawn.
"That was okay, I guess," Lila remarked, as she pulled out two arrows.
In the very next instant, she shot one into the target dummy, then shot the other right after.
This time, the target dummy wasn't pierced clean through, as her arrow embedded itself straight into the dummy's head.
However, what surprised him most was the second arrow, which soon impacted the first arrow like a bullseye, shredding it in two.
"Can you do that? I remember I learned this when I was 2 or so," Lila asked, hopeful.
Since Michael didn't want to get showed up by his own date, he decided to focus a bit.
By no means was he a professional archer; however, he did pride himself on adapting to things fast.
The bow in particular—as ever since the first time he held a sword—the bow felt like a natural weapon of choice.
Therefore, Michael took out five arrows, and instead of shooting them one by one, he shot them all together.
Immediately, they flew at a rapid speed, before some seemingly slowed down, converging behind the arrows.
That was until they all impacted—one arrow after the other pierced itself—until eventually, there was only a single arrow remaining.
As for the other arrows, they were shredded in two, lying on the ground.
He looked at Lila smugly. "I can. You see, I'm still a newbie at archery, but I'm glad you're competitive."
Michael liked competitive people, especially when they're not stupid.
Lila in particular was just that person.
She was neither stupid nor weak—and if she went all out, she could push him beyond his current limits.
And that was exactly what he was aiming for.
Lila's brows twitched as she pulled her bowstring back.
However, he was a bit puzzled, as she didn't input any arrow.
In the very next moment, she let go of the bowstring—and immediately, a fierce gust of wind shot out, heading straight for the dummies.
But it didn't stop there—as the moment it reached the dummies, they turned to shreds—and the wind blast continued forward, destroying everything in its path.
It only stopped once it reached the wall, which now had a massive slash mark on it.
"That's a bit unfair?" Michael grumbled. "You used your superior mana and strength to do that."
"I didn't," Lila affirmed. "The only thing I did was pull back my bowstring and let it go very fast."
Fast? How are you supposed to speed it up? Michael thought with furrowed brows, before deciding to give it a shot.
He replicated exactly how she did the attack—but instead of a wind blade shooting out, what shot out instead was a loud sound, which sent an annoyingly uncomfortable vibration throughout his hands.
Fuck. Michael twitched, as he nearly dropped the bow.
Nonetheless, he didn't give up, as he tried it again.
Then again—and again—until finally, his hands were bleeding.
Michael glanced at the dummies and the bow in the distance before letting out a sigh.
I think I understand it now...
The moment those thoughts fell, Michael tilted the bow sideways—and then at an angle which just so happened to match the wind's trajectory.
Then, he swiftly let go of the bowstring.
To his surprise, a massive, sharp gust of wind shot out, threatening to destroy everything in sight.
However, despite its appearance, the moment it made contact with a dummy, it dissipated—only leaving behind a single small gash.
"That was not bad," Lila praised with a smile. "You realized that you had to use wind channels in order to boost your attack like that. Good, you're improving even faster than I thought."
"Hey... you do know it's supposed to be a date, right?" Michael asked with a sigh as he put the bow away. "Let's go somewhere else, alright? The waterpark, for example."
"A waterpark? Do you just want to see me in a swimsuit, is that it?" Lila asked skeptically.
Michael nodded. "Pretty much, yeah. But don't worry—I won't do anything you don't want me to. I'll still try to seduce you though, so prepare for that."
After all, while he wasn't a narcissist, his body was basically the peak of humanity—and while he didn't know how the angels swung, he was definitely in peak shape.
Celeste can vouch.
"Hmm... Fine, then do you want to go buy some swimsuits? I don't want to use the one from earlier," Lila asked.
"Yep, I'll let you lead me there—I'm not that knowledgeable on womanly stuff," Michael chuckled.
With that, they made their way to a nearby store, which just so happened to be some expensive designer clothing shop dedicated specifically to swimsuits.
Rich people and their boredom... Just wow. Michael admired the surroundings with awe, almost like a child.
But not even a moment later, Lila stepped out from the booth.
His eyes widened as he glanced at her body.
A blue swimsuit that covered her breasts and bottom part nicely, while at the same time perfectly matching her hair.
It was simply breathtaking—to the point where he could only mutter a single word.
"Beautiful..."
"Hmm? What was that?" Lila tilted her head. "Sorry, I didn't hear that... but anyways, it looks nice, right?"
She definitely heard me, Michael rolled his eyes before nodding.
"It looks great on you."
"Good," a wide smile appeared on her face as she went inside. "Give me a few seconds, I'll try on a few more."
"Take your time..."
