The change in appearance was quite a profound subject in the field of Transfiguration, far more difficult than transforming oneself into an animal.

Generally speaking, only a Metamorphmagus could do this at will. If one wanted to perfectly transform into another person, they would need to use Polyjuice Potion. Additionally, there was a type of transformation potion in alchemy that could randomly change the appearance of the person drinking it.

However, the effect of this potion was very short and had to be consumed within an hour after being brewed. It was hard to store or carry for a long time.

Moreover, the range of deformation was too random, and it could not be guaranteed that each deformation would be in the form of a human.

Only those who wanted to have fun or sought excitement would use this kind of transformation potion. If the goal was to protect oneself through transformation, this potion would be ineffective. Just imagine — if all you needed was to change your hair color, but after drinking a mouthful of the potion, your head turned into that of a turkey…

At that point, instead of being hidden, you’d become even more conspicuous.

As for the Metamorph-Medals, those were purely fraudulent.

“Arthur, it sounds like the sort of thing Fred and George would find funny,” said Mrs. Weasley hesitantly. “Are you sure it’s not them…”

“Of course I am!” said Mr. Weasley, raising his voice slightly. “I checked their shop, Molly, and there’s no contraband. The boys wouldn’t do anything like that now. They know their limits. People are desperate for protection now. They don’t need to…”

“I can also guarantee that Fred and George don’t sell half-baked products,” said Evan, putting down the spoon.

He owned a portion of the shares in that joke shop, and although he had almost no involvement in the later period, it was undeniable that Evan’s support played a big role in Fred and George’s current success.

“Thanks to your participation, Evan; you’ve been much less of a worry than those two,” said Mrs. Weasley at once. “I don’t know how to thank you. If it weren’t for your financial support…”

“Even without my support, Fred and George would have made it. They have a lot of talent in this area,” said Evan honestly.

He just sped up the process and helped the joke shop grow larger.

Without Evan’s support, Fred and George would have come to this point through their own efforts.

“Molly, you used to say Evan shouldn’t have given them so many Galleons,” said Mr. Weasley with a laugh. “But look now — their shop is thriving, and business is booming…”

“That’s different,” said Mrs. Weasley sternly, looking at Mr. Weasley reproachfully. “I don’t blame you, Evan, but it was really reckless to give so many gold Galleons to Fred and George. You shouldn’t have done it. They could have easily failed, or…”

“That was Fred and George’s own money, Mrs. Weasley,” said Evan hastily.

“We all know what happened. Without your help, they would never have been able to do this,” said Mrs. Weasley. “Yes, although I didn’t approve at first, they do seem to have a bit of flair for business. Maybe we should let them do it. Arthur and I couldn’t support them in this regard. Fortunately…”

“If you say that again, I’ll be embarrassed.”

“Well, Molly, you don’t want Evan to have a bad sleep tonight, do you?” said Mr. Weasley.

Mrs. Weasley said nothing more; she just stood up and hugged Evan tightly.

“Children, let’s talk about the Metamorph-Medals. You may not be able to imagine…”

“So is that why you’re late, Metamorph-Medals?” interrupted Mrs. Weasley.

“No, we got wind of a nasty backfiring jinx down in Elephant and Castle, but luckily the Magical Law Enforcement Squad had sorted it out by the time we got there…”

Mr. Weasley talked incessantly about work. Evan, Harry and Hermione were very interested at first and wanted to know more about the current situation in the country, but it was too late and they soon became drowsy and could not help yawning.

“Go to bed, dears,” said an undeceived Mrs. Weasley at once. “Hermione, go to Ginny’s room. Evan, Harry, I’ve got Fred and George’s room all ready for you.”

They said goodnight to Mr. Weasley and headed upstairs.

Crookshanks leapt lightly from Hermione’s lap and slunk out of the room, apparently heading for the courtyard.

As they left the kitchen, Mrs. Weasley glanced at the clock in the washing basket. All the hands were once again at “mortal peril.”

Evan and the others noticed it too — it was unnervingly obvious…

On the first floor of the Burrow, Percy’s room was quiet, with no sound at all.

Percy wasn’t living at home. He still didn’t seem to be reconciled with his family. Mrs. Weasley didn’t mention him either. Her face was tight as she walked straight up the stairs. Evan and the others couldn’t ask…

Fred, George, and Ginny’s bedrooms were all on the second floor, with Ginny’s being nearest to the stairs.

After saying good night, Hermione quietly opened the door and walked in. Evan and Harry walked into Fred and George’s room.

“Fred and George rarely let me in before,” said Harry, looking around curiously, “but after hearing the explosions and strange noises, Ron and I wondered what you had done again.”

“You know, all kinds of magic experiments, research and development of new products,” said Evan, opening a cabinet and taking a look. There were some colored papers and fun-looking but dangerous things left inside. “Hmm, we’d better not touch these. Since they’re still here, it probably means these things haven’t been fully tested yet.”

This bedroom was larger than Ron’s and didn’t have as many posters. In the distance, there was a lamp on each of the bedside tables of the two beds, casting a warm and soft light into the room. There was a large vase of flowers on a desk in front of the small window, but their perfume could not disguise the lingering smell in the room.

Evan and Harry agreed that it was the smell of gunpowder, the mark left by Fred and George’s dangerous magical experiments. A considerable amount of floor space was devoted to a vast number of unmarked, sealed cardboard boxes, amongst which stood Harry’s school trunk. The room looked as though it was being used as a temporary warehouse.

Their luggage had been placed in the corner of the room. As they changed into their pajamas, Hedwig flew in from the window. She pecked Harry gently, hooted happily at Evan a few times, threw a vole to them, flapped her wings and flew out of the window, disappearing into the night.

This owl was very polite; it must have been waiting to see Harry before going hunting.

As for the field mouse that was not yet dead, it was probably a gift from her to Evan.
