Greatest Legacy of the Magus Universe-Chapter 851: Air of Eccentricity
Chapter 851: Air of Eccentricity
Towar Stronghold.
The following day, Adam was ready to leave. Although he would have liked to spend a few more days relaxing, he was short on time.
He needed to make one more stop before returning to Ravenfell. Besides, the contents of the journal birthed a sense of urgency deep in his heart.
Despite being a Mana Vortex Magus, he still felt that he was not strong enough.
After all, even someone like Aldo Wagner, the founder of the Twilight Brotherhood and a Mana Core Magus, was utterly helpless in the face of whatever it was that resided in the Dark Valley.
Now, Adam had more than just the Cult of Bones to worry about.
Lurking deep within the Dark Valley was an abomination beyond comprehension!
When Adam stepped out of his personal quarters, he noticed most of the Mana Liquefaction Magi had already gathered. They were waiting for him.
“Hahaha, now you look more like the Dark King!” the bald Magus with the thick mustache laughed jovially.
When he had first seen Adam, the latter looked no different than a terrifying barbarian who was raised in the wilderness.
Now, however, the raven-haired youth looked like a proper Magus!
He was clad in black flowing robes layered over a violet mantle and a crisp white tunic. The youth wore fitted black trousers, tucked neatly into knee-high dark leather boots laced meticulously.
And last but not least, the finishing touch to his signature look… his black pointy hat!
A simple accessory that radiated equal parts mystique and menace.
Now that Adam had cleaned-shaven his face, he looked dashing and composed. The physique enhancement he had undergone in the Soaring River Secret Plane had refined his appearance, elevating him to a striking figure.
He carried the quiet grace of a scholar, but the glint in his eyes betrayed something far more dangerous… a predator lurking underneath the civility, ever watchful, forever prepared to strike.
Ten obsidian hooped earrings adorned his ears, lending him a rougish charisma. As if he were a man unshackled by the weight of the world, drifting like a cloud, untamed and untouchable.
A faint, mischievous smirk hung on his lips, giving him an air of eccentricity, the kind that misled others that he was toying with the world.
But they would be wrong.
He was never careless. He was never off guard.
This was the grandeur of the Dark King!
“Thank you for your hospitality,” Adam smiled gratefully. He walked up to the two Magi and shook their hands.
“It was an honor to host the Dark King, haha!” The bald Magus laughed out loud.
The blond one asked curiously, “Magus Constantine, will you be returning to Ravenfell now?”
Adam shook his head. “No, there’s one more place I need to visit before.”
“Hmm.” The blond Mana Vortex Magus had a thoughtful expression. “If you like, I can lend you one of the griffins here. That should shorten your travel time. After all, there isn’t much time left before the Grand Magus Tournament begins.”
Adam let out a light chuckle. “Thank you for the kind gesture, but that wouldn’t be necessary.”
The next moment, a gray light flashed, and a chubby cat suddenly appeared. Valerian sat on the youth’s shoulder. His furry little paws were crossed, and he had an extremely smug look on his face.
“Hmph!” He snorted and looked away, as if the idea of Adam riding a griffin was ludicrous as long as he was there.
Seeing his expression, the two Mana Vortex Magi were slightly taken aback.
They both thought the same thing.
What a snobbish little shit!
Adam found it all rather amusing, and he tried his best to stifle a chuckle.
Before he departed, he made sure to greet the hundreds of Magi gathered. He also shook their hands. It was clear to him that these people all wanted to meet him before he left.
He didn’t want to be rude and leave immediately. Besides, this was the least he could do for these brave warriors who protected the Empire’s southern borders from the invasions of magical beasts and monsters.
After about an hour, he had finally finished greeting every Magus present in Towar. It was a rather hectic experience, to say the least.
But it was only now that he realized just what kind of weight the title of King truly held in the hearts of these people.
His title was not one of nobility. No, it was much more.
When he realized this, Adam couldn’t help but feel proud of how far he had come.
As he stood outside the towering metal gates of the Towar Stronghold, almost all the Magi had come out to bid him farewell.
He turned towards the Murky Mountains, specifically in the direction of Behal Town.
His childhood memories resurfaced inside his mind, causing a faint smile to blossom on his face. Then, he scanned the faces of the hundreds of people around him.
Their eyes flashed with respect, admiration… and perhaps even reverence.
A strange feeling bubbled up inside his heart as he thought to himself, This… This is my peak!
He clenched his fists, grateful for all that he had achieved and how far he had come at such a young age.
Then, he turned towards the two Mana Vortex Magi and faintly smiled. “Farewell.”
At that moment, Valerian, who was perched on Adam’s shoulder, slyly rubbed his paws together, thinking to himself, Hehe, I can finally transform and reveal my glorious self before these mongrels.
“Myu!” The little guy leaped off Adam’s shoulder, preparing to transform.
But at the last moment, Adam grabbed him by the scruff of his neck.
“Myu?”
Adam arched an eyebrow. “What’re you trying to do?”
“…Aren’t we leaving?” Valerian was perplexed.
“We are.” The raven-haired youth nodded.
He tucked Valerian inside his robes, leaving only the little guy’s head poking out, his topaz eyes blinking in confusion.
Adam chuckled, “It will be faster on foot.”
After his recent body transformation, he was much faster than before. He could even cross large distances with a single leap.
The raven-haired youth crouched ever so slightly, gathering mana around his legs.
A powerful and overbearing aura surged out, forcing the nearby Magi to instinctively retreat.
Adam then cast one final glance at the two Mana Vortex Magi and offered them a subtle nod.
Then, with a burst of strength, he launched into the air, the ground beneath him cracking into a small crater!
In mere moments, he became a black speck in the sky, vanishing into the clouds.

Several weeks later, Adam emerged from the forest’s edge. His eyes fell upon a distant human settlement, one he knew well.
After all, the people had named it after him.
What had once been nothing more than a darkened crater and scattered rubble had, over the past decade, grown into a thriving town.
The town of Constantine!
Adam’s gaze shifted to the heart of the settlement, where a giant figure stood. Its branches were spread wide like protective arms, and it pulsed with an otherworldly vitality.
Standing at more than twenty meters tall, it towered over every building in Constantine. freewebnøvel.com
