Ethan frowned because he had expected the Greenfire Sect to investigate the disappearance of the Berserk Beasts from the Berserk Beast Realm for a couple of months.
However, it’s been only two weeks since the Beast Extermination Trial ended, and they were already putting in more Spirit Beasts.
‘Looks like I should try to purify the Abyss as soon as possible and become the owner of this Secret Realm.’
Although it was a good thing for Ethan if the Spirit Beasts turned into Berserk Beasts before he purified them with his Infernal Flame to get Life Points, Ethan didn’t want the Spirit Beasts to suffer for his gains.
Maybe if he didn’t know about the side effects that the Spirit Beasts had to go through after becoming normal, Ethan might have used that method to farm Life Points.

Ethan assured the Natural Spirit, making it nod its tiny lion head.
“Master Kai, there is another important thing.”
The Natural Spirit still didn’t guide Ethan to the abyss as it had another matter to report.

A few moments ago, somewhere far from Ethan’s current location in the Berserk Beast Realm.
‘I sense it…I sense it again.
He has appeared.’
A masked old man who was sitting cross-legged inside a cave suddenly opened his eyes at the exact moment Ethan entered the Berserk Beast Realm.
‘But…why did the [Killer’s Mark] on him become so thin that if not for my extraordinary senses, I would not have sensed him.’
The old man frowned, thinking about how vague the [Killer’s Mark] on his target had become.
He was none other than the stalker who had followed Ethan into the Berserk Beast Realm a week ago.

Thus, he stayed close to the entrance of the Berserk Beast Realm, waiting for Ethan, because if Ethan wanted to leave the Secret Realm, he would have to go through the only exit, which was also the entrance to the Berserk Beast Realm.
‘Although I already know his identity and his background, having the [Killer’s Mark] on him makes things easy for me.’
Thinking about the [Killer’s Mark] that had almost disappeared, the stalker believed Ethan had used some kind of treasure to erase it, which was not a good thing for him.
