Chapter 64 - 63: Ice Mage Hestia Familia fame!

The four of them exited the dungeon.

"That was amazing," Elsa said, her voice filled with awe. "The way the monsters just... appeared, and then I could actually help with magic. It felt so real."

Lioro smiled softly. "You did well for your first time. But remember, not everything in the Dungeon is like that. Some floors are much more dangerous, so always stay aware."

They walked towards the guild hall, a tall, white stone building, bustling with adventurers coming and going. As they approached the entrance, Elsa took a deep breath, trying to calm her nerves. She had been traveling and training in her world for so long, but this was all so new.

Upon entering, the guild hall was just as busy as ever. The sounds of clattering armor and murmuring adventurers filled the air. Several adventurers were crowded around tables, discussing their next dive or celebrating a successful hunt. There was a familiar sense of organized chaos, a place where people of all backgrounds and goals came together.

At the reception desk stood a red-haired woman, she was their designated guild employee, Rose.

The moment she saw Yoriichi, her breath caught in her throat.

As he approached the counter with Elsa, she quickly composed herself, offering them a warm smile. "Welcome back, Yoriichi-san, Bell-san," she greeted them. "I see you have a new member with you today?"

"Yes, this is Elsa," Lioro introduced, his voice smooth as ever. "She's joining the Hestia Familia."

Rose's eyes flicked toward Elsa, then back to Yoriichi, her heart beating just a little faster. "I see. Welcome, Elsa-san." She gave a polite bow. "I'll help you with the registration process."

Rose led them to a table at the back of the guild hall, where she gestured for Elsa to sit. She pulled out a parchment and began to write.

"So, Elsa," Rose said: "if you could just confirm your details for the registration, we can get this done quickly. I just need your name, age, and any other relevant information."

During the process Elsa, she noticed Rose's eyes linger on Yoriichi for a fraction of a second before she caught herself and focused back on Elsa. The subtle shift didn't go unnoticed by Lioro, but he said nothing.

Once Elsa had finished filling out the paperwork, Rose glanced over it, a small smile tugging at her lips as she noticed Elsa's magical affinity. "Ice magic?," she remarked with genuine interest.

Elsa smiled. "Yes."

Rose's eyes sparkled with curiosity. "If you ever need any advice or resources, please don't hesitate to ask. The guild is here to help you."

Elsa nodded gratefully. "Thank you, I will."

After completing the registration, Rose said after hesitating for a moment. "I've heard some rumors." she said, her tone light and her gaze shifting slightly toward Yoriichi. "About the famous Yoriichi-san saving many adventurers..."

Yoriichi, who had been silent up until now, gave her a simple nod. "I just do what I can."

"That's very humble of you," Rose said with a soft smile, clearly a little flustered.

'Another vixen!', Lioro stared at her.

With the paperwork in order, Rose said. "Congratulations, Elsa-san. You're now officially part of the Hestia Familia."

After some final words of guidance from Rose, Lioro, Bell, Yoriichi, and Elsa left the guild, making their way back to the familia.

----

Night Time.

Hestia familia house.

After a day of dungeon training, everyone settled down in their rooms.

Lying alone on his bed, Lioro looked at his status.

General max for each stat was 1300.

And he was almost half way there.

Of course generally for a maximum Player only one or two stats will reach the max level, all other will be around 600-700.

Still Lioro had to say, the fact that Ains could actually raised his mana value to 3 times the max stat meaning 3900 mana, was incredible.

Especially because Ains only had one special class 'Eclipse' and a racial classe on par with special classes 'Overlord'.

Thinking about the future, Lioro closed his eyes and fell asleep.

----

The next day.

"You want to visit Orario?" Lioro blinked, slightly surprised, as Elsa looked up at him with bright, sparkling eyes.

"Yes!" she said, bouncing a little on her toes. "I want to see more of this city! The marketplace, the stalls, the people, everything!"

Lioro exhaled softly. How could he say no when she looked that excited?

"Well... alright," he said, a faint smile tugging at his lips.

Before he could say another word, Elsa grabbed his hand and dashed off toward the street, pulling him along like a snowstorm in summer.

"Come on!" she called cheerfully over her shoulder. "You walk too slow!"

Behind them, in the middle of the living room, Yoriichi and Bell stood frozen.

"...They didn't even ask if we wanted to come," Bell mumbled, his shoulders drooping like a sad puppy.

Yoriichi, remained expressionles, merely gave a faint nod. "It appears so."

Bell sighed dramatically. "I guess it's just us, huh?"

But just as he turned to invite Yoriichi for some light sparring or lunch, he stopped in his tracks. A familiar face was already chatting with the swordsman, Tsuare.

She stood there with a small bento in her hands, smiling nervously as she tried to keep Yoriichi engaged in conversation. Her cheeks were dusted pink, and she kept glancing down before gathering courage to look him in the eye again.

Bell's jaw dropped. "No way... ?!"

Lioro had told Tsuare to be more proactive if she wanted to be with Yorichii.

Bell turned around slowly, as if wounded by a thousand invisible arrows, and trudged toward the training yard behind the house.

"I'm the only single dog here," he mumbled. "Well there's also Ninya-san....

Just as he stepped outside, he glanced toward the main hallway. "Wait... isn't the goddess still sleeping?" he muttered. "She should've woken up by now....."

----

At the same time.

Inside Hestia's room.

A petite goddess was stuck inside a block of ice, with only her nose exposed, allowing her to breath.

----

Elsa dragged Lioro from street to street like an excited child. Food stalls, accessory shops, dancing performers, and vendors trying to outshout each other filled the roads.

"Look at that sword! It glows!" she gasped.

"That's because of metals used..." Lioro said calmly. "It's for show."

She grinned and spun around. "Then it's perfect for a parade!"

Everywhere they went, people turned to look, not just at Elsa's beauty or her foreign clothes, but the unmistakable air of cold that followed her. A gentle frost coated the tips of nearby flowers, and a soft shimmer danced over the air like snowflakes.

A child pointed and whispered, "Look, A snow fairy!"

Elsa blinked, her smile slowly widening.

Lioro watched her quietly. Her joy was contagious, and he found himself smiling without even realizing it.

----

The streets of Orario bustled with life. Children darted between crowds, merchants called out their wares, and the air was thick with the scent of roasted meats and exotic spices. Amid the chaos, Lioro and Elsa stood out like silver threads in a tapestry of stone and steel.

Elsa walked with wide eyes, taking everything in, the towering buildings, the colors, the laughter, the liveliness. "It's... breathtaking," she said, clutching the edge of her flowing cloak. "So different from Arendelle."

Lioro gave a small smile. "It has its charm. And its dangers."

She glanced at him. "Is it always this crowded?"

"I don't know it's also my first time going out like this."

"First time for both of us?", Elsa smiled.

---

As they passed a weapons vendor, Elsa paused by a stall displaying glittering swords and ornate daggers.

Just as she was looking.

A burly adventurer swaggered over, armor clinking, a crude smile stretching across his scarred face. Two others trailed behind him, clearly lackeys. He looked Elsa up and down like she was part of the merchandise.

"Well now... aren't you a rare little gem?" he said with a greasy tone. "How about you ditch the pale pretty boy and spend some time with a real man, sweetheart?"

Elsa took a step back, her fingers twitching with a cold pulse.

Before she could speak, a sharp gust swept through the air, and in the next moment, the man was already flying backward.

*CRASH!*

He slammed into a pile of crates across the street, groaning in pain.

Lioro's arm lowered.

The crowd parted in silence, stunned.

One of the thug's friends stepped forward in panic. "W-We didn't mean anything! S-Sorry!"

Lioro looked at them and they turned and ran, dragging their injured leader with them.

Elsa blinked, slightly stunned. "That was..."

"...General thugs," Lioro said while shaking his head. "Let's keep walking."

----

They arrived at the central plaza, where a large marble fountain shimmered under the sun.

Their otherworldly presence didn't go unnoticed for long.

A group of deities lounging in a shaded corner café turned their heads. Among them were deities from lesser-known familias. colorful, eccentric, and ever-curious.

A woman with golden curls and a parasol leaned over, whispering to her divine companion. "You see them? That man with blue eyes... and the girl with snow in her hair."

"Hmm," mused another god, sharp-eyed and fox-faced. "They look even more divine then gods."

Goddess Hathor said with a motherly smile "They're not part of my Familia..... What a shame. I'd love to pamper them."

Another deity hurridely said. "You can pamper me Hathor!"

"You're not a child, go away."

They all chuckled.

---

As they continued walking through Orario, more gods and adventurers took note.

And with their personality, the gods surrounded them and started asking various questions.

"Child which familia are you from?"

A goddess looked at Lioro with shinning eyes.

"Hellow young lady, would you like this flower?", A male god smiled and offered Elsa a Rose with a smile on his face.

Somehow getting away from the group of overly excited gods, Lioro and Elsa came to a different street.

"The gods are.....too friendly.", Elsa muttered while taking out the rose which was randomly stuffed in her hair.

"You have no idea.", Lioro commented, remembering the crazy obsession of these immortals.

The two walked quietly down the cobbled streets of Orario, the city's usual noise dulled by the golden hue of the setting sun. The crowd moved past them, but neither said a word.

Elsa, her steps matching Lioro's, glanced at him from the corner of her eye. His gaze was distant, brows slightly furrowed, lost in thought.

"Is something wrong?" she finally asked, her voice soft but clear.

Lioro blinked, pulled from his thoughts. "Hm? It's nothing..." he replied vaguely.

Seeing the scene, Elsa narrowed her eyes, then, without any warnin, grabbed his arm tightly.

Lioro could only stop and look at her.

Seeing her pouting expression, he helplessly explained.

"I was thinking of world travelling again."

To be exact, he wanted to increase his skill points and look for his four future generals.

"You're leaving?"

Elsa asked with concern on her face.

"I will come back soon--"

"Can I come with you?", Elsa interjected, bringing her face close to Lioro, looking at him with a hopeful expression.

"Well..."

Lioro hesitated

What if the next world was like Warhammer 40K, a merciless realm like the Space Marines'?

"Please~"

Seeing her cute expression, Lioro's heart melted.

"Alright..."

"Yes!", Elsa exclaimed while clenching her fist in victory.

As a man, it was really hard to win an argument with a woman.

Especially when the woman was beautiful.

'Bringing Elsa along would mean I could decrease an additional level, meaning more skill points gained from the trip....'

Efficiency-wise, it was the better option.

But...

'What if I really ended up in the Space Marine world?'

As soon as the thought appeared in his mind, Lioro couldn't get rid of it.

It felt like a premonition....

Like he just jinxed himself or something.

Looking at Elsa's smiling face....

He really couldn't make himself bring her on such an unpredictable trip.

It was alright to bet on his own life, but putting another's life in danger? He just couldn't do it.

So he decided to use his other Ability.

One that he has not used yet.

'Multiverse Digger.'

It allows him to access the parallel worldlines.

And Danmachi world had quite a few of them.

He already had a decent grasp of Danmachi's world level. A version of it wouldn't pose unexpected dangers, and he could still gain what he needed.

He turned to Elsa and offered his hand. "Shall we go?"

Elsa's eyes lit up. "Yes!" she beamed, grabbing his hand without hesitation.

Then, under the shocked eyes of the bystanders, the two of them disappeared without a trace.

Alternate Timeline: Danmachi 2.0

The space flickered before Lioro and Elsa appeared.

As soon as they appeared, an indescribable, disgusting smell assaulted them.

Elsa hurriedly covered her nose.

Lioro looked around in confusion.

And what he saw.

Left him stunned.

Fire.

Fire all around them.

The buildings, the street, everything was on fire.

A moment ago, they were standing on and bustling street, and the next moment it changed completely.

Lioro's pupils constricted.

He saw multiple dead bodies lying around.

"No...", Elsa involuntarily took a step back, seeing a mutilated body lying on the ground with its internal organs all spilled out.

"Lioro?..."

Instead of replying, Lioro looked at the big monster who was approaching them.

It was definitely a high-level monster, which shouldn't have appeared on the surface.

It seems....

Something terrible has happened to this dungeon city.
