Fairy Tail Destiny-Chapter 124: Ch : Oracion Seis defeated
Chapter 124 - Ch 124 : Oracion Seis defeated
Boom! A loud explosion rang out.
While searching for Noel on Nirvana, Erza paused slightly, turning her gaze toward the source of the explosion. "That explosion just now... it came from the throne?"
"You really are cruel, Father, stealing all my fun."
A sudden voice sent a jolt through Erza's heart.
She swiftly turned around and saw a man with two-toned black and white hair, dark makeup around his lips and eyes, red eyes, a black coat, and yellow pants with black patterns—one of the Oracion Seis, Midnight.
"You're the last prey now. I hope I can enjoy this properly," Midnight said as he slowly approached Erza.
Erza coldly stared at him, gripping a sword in her hand before charging at him.
A flash of her blade sliced through the air, but to her shock, the sword seemed to swerve off course, narrowly missing Midnight.
"The sword light bent?" Erza took a step back, summoning a second sword in her other hand and slashing again—but once more, the attack missed, gliding past Midnight's body.
(Again?)
Midnight smirked and casually lifted his palm before flicking it forward.
Erza hurriedly crossed her swords in front of her to block, but the next moment, as if struck by an invisible force, she was sent sliding several meters back.
"Huh? What?!"
Just as Erza thought she had defended against the attack, something unexpected happened—her armor began twisting as if it had a will of its own, its original form vanishing as it shrank into tight bands that wrapped around her body, restraining her.
"[Requip]!"
As the constricting armor began tightening around her, Erza let out a cold snort.
In an instant, her armor shifted into the Heaven's Wheel Armor, its two metallic wings unfolding behind her.
"I see... so this is the kind of magic you use," she muttered, realizing the nature of Midnight's abilities.
"That's right..." Midnight said indifferently.
"My Refraction Magic can bend and distort anything. It can also reflect magic and use light refraction to create illusions."
Erza frowned but still raised her sword. "Dance, sacred swords!"
At her command, numerous blades materialized out of thin air, turning into streaks of light as they rushed toward Midnight.
"Didn't you hear me? Magic can't hit me." Midnight smirked confidently, standing still as Erza's sword strikes were effortlessly deflected away. "Did you think increasing the number of attacks would change anything?"
With a swift motion, Midnight redirected Erza's own swords back at her.
Erza let out a cold snort, swinging her blade and knocking all the rebounded swords out of the air.
"I already told you, I can reflect attacks too." Midnight grinned, waving his hand.
Instantly, Erza's Heaven's Wheel Armor twisted again, wrapping around her body and binding her tightly.
"Let's add more... more pain. That expression is perfect," Midnight said with a twisted smile.
"Ahhh—!" Erza cried out in pain, throwing her sword at Midnight, but he simply tilted his head, easily dodging it.
"Impressive, but... [Spiral Agony]."
With another wave of his hand, the distortion of Erza's armor intensified, sending waves of excruciating pain through her body.
Bang!
With a heavy impact, Erza collapsed to the ground, overwhelmed by Midnight's attack.
Midnight looked down at the fallen Erza. "Is that all? Don't die just yet, Erza... Before we reach Cait Shelter, I still want to have some more fun."
"Cait Shelter—that is our first destination. Long ago, the Nirvit Tribe created Nirvana to stop wars, but it turned into a far more dangerous magic than they ever imagined. Realizing this, they sealed away their own creation with their own hands. To prevent it from being used for evil, they guarded the seal for decades, even centuries.
The guild Cait Shelter, made up entirely of the descendants of the Nirvit Tribe, holds the power to seal Nirvana once again. That is why they must be destroyed."
Midnight's voice grew more feverish as he spread his arms wide.
"Wouldn't it be a waste to let such a powerful force fall into slumber again? With this power, we can plunge the world into chaos. This will serve as a warning to all—even the peace-loving Nirvit Tribe can be dragged into war.
We can stain their hearts with darkness, turn them against each other, make them slaughter one another in despair. Just imagine the spectacle!"
Struggling to her feet, Erza's icy gaze locked onto Midnight.
"I will stop you and your senseless ambitions—no matter what!"
A brilliant flash of light shone, and a new set of armor appeared on Erza—a beautifully engraved purple suit of armor with two massive metallic wings extending from the back.
"You can still stand?" Midnight looked at Erza in surprise before letting out a cold chuckle. "As expected of you, Erza. You truly are worthy of being destroyed. Come at me, Titania. Show me your true power.
Not that it matters—your attacks will never land on me."
Hearing Midnight's words, Erza smiled slightly.
A sword appeared in her hand as she charged straight at him.
A flash of steel.
With a look of disdain, Midnight watched as her sword once again sliced past him harmlessly.
"You see?—" Midnight's mocking words were cut short as Erza's fist slammed into his chest, sending him flying backward.
"What?!" Midnight's eyes widened in shock as he stared at Erza in disbelief.
"There are two weaknesses to your magic," Erza stated calmly.
"The first—while you can distort the direction of magic and weapons, you cannot alter the direction of a human body. If you could, instead of twisting my armor, you would have directly targeted my body—that would have been much faster, wouldn't it?"
"Tch!" Midnight scowled, his expression darkening.
He extended a hand toward Erza. "Even so, what does that change? If I get serious, I can just use your armor—"
Midnight's words trailed off, his expression shifting to shock as he realized Erza's armor remained completely unchanged.
Erza smirked coldly. "How unfortunate. This Moon Goddess Armor... seems to be beyond your ability to distort."
"And your second weakness is..."
A red magic circle appeared in the air above Midnight.
Suddenly, countless weapons rained down upon him.
Midnight screamed in agony as he collapsed to the ground.
"When you twisted my armor, you deliberately avoided my sword. Why didn't you distort its trajectory instead?" Erza questioned.
"In other words, your ability to warp space is always focused on a single point—either around yourself or around your enemy, but never both at the same time. When you cast magic on me, you couldn't use your reflection ability to defend yourself.
And this Moon Goddess Armor of mine... its power surpasses the limits of your magic.
Hmm... if we count this armor, that makes three weaknesses, doesn't it?"
A confident smirk appeared on Erza's lips—her signature look of unwavering determination.
"Damn it... I was so close!" Midnight slammed his fists against the ground, his face twisted in frustration.
"The battle is over. Surrender peacefully."
Hearing Erza's words, Midnight suddenly let out a low chuckle, which soon turned into unrestrained laughter.
"Hahaha... It's already past midnight. It's too late.
If only you had fallen sooner... If only you had embraced your eternal slumber... then you wouldn't have to witness the horror that's about to unfold."
A deep tolling of a bell echoed throughout Nirvana—the sound that heralded Midnight's arrival.
A massive red magic circle formed above him, and within its glow, Midnight's body began to transform.
His form swelled grotesquely, twisting into the shape of a monstrous demon-like entity.
"Hahaha! In the depths of midnight, my distortions reach their absolute peak...!"
But before he could revel in his power—

A blinding flash of steel pierced through the illusion, as if cutting through all falsehoods.
The monstrous Midnight was torn to shreds, his twisted reality unraveling in an instant.
When the light faded, everything had returned to normal.
Only Midnight remained, kneeling weakly on the ground.
"My illusions... they don't work?!" Midnight let out a desperate, anguished cry.
Erza slowly closed her left eye, leaving only her right eye—her artificial eye—open.
"How unfortunate... Magic that relies on vision has no effect on me."
"How could this be...?" Midnight murmured weakly. "My only wish... was to find a quiet place to sleep... Father..."
With those final words, he collapsed onto the ground.
Midnight's defeat marked the complete downfall of Oracion Seis.
In the distance, the markings on the unconscious Brain's face completely vanished.
Suddenly, Brain's eyes snapped open—a deep, blood-red hue, as if dyed in fresh blood.
There was no trace of reason left in those eyes—only pure rage and destruction.
