Demonic Pornstar System-Chapter 72: Aftermath of the Duel

A couple hours after the duel, in the awakened hospital.

David awoke with a frightened shout as images of the profusely bleeding Kaiden sitting on top of him and beating the ever-living shit out of him entered his mind. He started trembling as a cold breeze enveloped him.

"Pathetic."

A deep, masculine voice sounded from next to his hospital bed. He snapped his head toward the origin of the voice and came face to face with a man who could best be described as a mafia boss. He was scarred all across his face with numerous cut wounds, and he even wore a black eyepatch over his left eye. He wore a dark trench coat and had a cigar in his mouth.

"W-who are you?" David yelped in fright.

"Victor Thorne, leader of the Blood Pact," he replied matter of factly.

Blood Pact was not an officially recognized guild but more so an underground organization. They were shrouded in mystery; there was almost no public information available about them. They were a very shady and secretive bunch.

"And you're David Bennett, the loser who was humiliated by an F-tier. You're the laughingstock of the awakened community—numerous videos are swirling about your haughty statements and consequent beating all across the country. The girl you broke up with received so much love and support she was even approached by an advertisement company about getting featured in an ad for a therapy session for women who deal with relationship issues or have low self-confidence. Hear this!"

Victor began snickering; he found what he was about to say to be very funny. "She was approached by a famous rockstar who found her story to be touching and said that to him, what's below the surface is so much more important than what's on top of it. There's a good chance that your ugly-as-sin ex is dating a rockstar right now! While you're recovering from getting such a beating from an F-tier that you pissed yourself, which was caught in 4k! Many 4k cameras at that! You can see it happening from a complete 360-degree angle! Hahaha!"

David was at first scared when he learned just who the man sitting in his hospital room was, but due to the man's great ridiculing and extremely mocking tone, he couldn't help but become enraged. "What do you want?! How did you come here in the first place?" There was no way the hospital staff would allow a stranger to enter an unconscious man's room.

"I sneaked in, duh," Victor shrugged his shoulders as if it should've been obvious. "As for why I'm here... to give you an offer. A choice, if you will."

"You want to recruit me?"

"Oh, you're a smart one! It's good to see that the blonde bitch managed to restore your brain to a functioning state despite you becoming a certified vegetable. Blunt trauma to the head is no joke, let me tell you that much."

A vein bulged on David's forehead out of anger. He was getting very agitated. "Answer me!"

"Oh! Please do excuse me. My mother always told me I should strive to make a better first impression when meeting new people. I guess I never learn..." Before David could interject, Victor's tone turned serious as he stared at the man authoritatively. "Swear your undying loyalty to the Blood Pact, and we'll help you put this horrible humiliation of a lifetime behind you. It will be a relic of the past."

"... What do you mean?"

"Trying to delete what's already on the net is a futile endeavor, but we can overshadow the news with more shocking ones. Which do you think is more interesting? A level 1 A-tier awakened getting his ass beat by an F-tier, or..." His features contorted to a terrifying degree, so much so that he started looking like the devil, the personification of evil. "... An attempt on the life of the president of the United States by a Russian awakened terrorist?"

A day after the duel, in the awakened hospital.

"He's coming to... He will open his eyes at any second now," a woman whose voice Kaiden didn't recognize stated.

"Really?!" Aria's gorgeous voice chirped. Kaiden's eyelids were very heavy; he had to gather his strength for a bit before he could part them.

"Thank you, Lady Elysia!" Luna shouted with a coarse voice. 'She was crying a lot...' Kaiden thought inwardly.

"Kaiden, can you hear us?" Nyx asked worriedly. Her voice came from very close, so much so that he felt the side of her head suddenly touching his chest.

"His heart is beating, of that I can assure you, young lady..." the same voice, which he couldn't recognize, muttered wryly.

"Ah! I wasn't doubting your expertise, Miss Elysia!"

"I know," the woman replied in a serene, patient tone. Kaiden couldn't help but picture her as an angel in human form. She sounded like a kind, compassionate soul.

He finally had enough strength to part his eyelids. An instant chorus welcomed his actions.

"Kai!!!" his three lovers shouted simultaneously while doing their best to hug him close to them.

"Ladies... Are you trying to assault my patient?" based on her tone, she was merely joking, but that was enough to make the girls recognize the errors of their ways. They reluctantly backed off to give the doctor the space she needed. The woman, evidently called Elysia, stepped up to his bed.

Kaiden glanced up at her and saw a young, gorgeous lady who had long blonde hair. The image he formed in his head based on the voice he heard while he had his eyes closed matched with her kind face perfectly.

He couldn't help but think that he had seen her somewhere before. "Nice to meet you, Kaiden. I'm Elysia, your doctor," she greeted him with a gentle smile.

"S-tier healer type awakened..." Kaiden murmured when he managed to match her face to the information he knew. She was a famous person who had saved numerous lives. Elysia was one of the most protected people on Earth. Some even joked her personal bodyguard unit rivaled the president's.

He glanced around, and indeed, a dozen men and women in professional uniforms stood around the edges of his room, blending into the background. He felt every move of his was watched and scrutinized as they looked for any potential threat to her life.

"You recognize me? I'm honored," Elysia replied while her kind smile never left her lips.

"Only hermits who'd been living under a rock for the past few years wouldn't recognize you..."

"Hehe! You cracking jokes is a good sign. May I check you for signs of trouble?" she asked while pointing at his head. Kaiden didn't understand what she meant but nodded nonetheless. She placed her soft, warm palm on his forehead and intoned, "[Body Scan]." Elysia closed her eyes and concentrated for a good few seconds before her delicate eyelids parted, and her cheery smile returned. "All good! You can leave the hospital in 24 hours if no trouble occurs during that time window."

"Thank you," Kaiden nodded, happy with the words of his doctor.

"You're welcome. Other patients are waiting for me, so I'll take my leave. See you around, Blood Knight," Elysia said her goodbyes, accompanied by a playful wink.

As Kaiden watched the blonde-haired woman leave his room accompanied by her bodyguard unit, a smile emerged on his lips. There were just so many exciting things he had to look forward to!

Their first dungeon rise was looming on the horizon, where he would finally get to begin his leveling journey. However, before visiting their first dungeon, they needed to purchase good gear using the awakened platform's marketplace, which stimulated Kaiden's mind greatly. What weapon should he choose? A sword? An Axe? A Spear? So many possibilities swirled in his head.

And although he didn't know it yet, many more surprises were waiting for Kaiden. Aria has been secretly collecting her bravery, intending to no longer be the sole Valkyrie who didn't shoot a video with Kaiden onto their Valhalla's Sinner awakened page, and the time would soon come to learn what forced Nyx to sign up for the casting where they met for the first time.

Furthermore, forces were in motion whose existence Kaiden wasn't even aware of: the mysterious Blood Pact, the Awakened Association, the Ashborn family, the R&D company intending to release the world's first-ever first-person mana camera who would not look kindly upon Kaiden's unique skill that allowed him to record pristine quality films with his eyes, and so much more.

All that is to say...

The journey of the Paragon of Sin and his Sinsworn Valkyries was only just beginning.
