The instant Fan Ha heard the name 'Tian' mentioned, it was like a thunderclap had exploded in her mind.

With her eyes widened, she asked,

Updated from freewёbnoνel.com.

"How do you know about her?"

Since she left the Deer Mountain Range not once has she ever mentioned that name to anyone, not to her son, and not to anybody at the Starlight Lake Sect, nobody.

Nobody knew of that name or her relationship to the owner of that name. That part of her life, especially memories concerning her older sister had always been a refuge for her, a secret anchor and place just for her which she didn't feel comfortable sharing with anybody else.

Because of the shock of it all she couldn't help but look at Fan Cai wondering if she had accidentally let it slip when she was with him, but seeing his confused and flabbergasted face to the revelation, she dismissed the thought.

Fan Cai wasn't the only one surprised by the news. Meng Jiayi paused just as he was about to take another sip of his wine with a look of surprise coloring his face as his gaze fell on Fan Ha.

Xie Yuan looked just as surprised at the revelation, while Yu Hui had a look of cautious uncertainty about him.

Only the envoy of the Silver Rose Vermilion Pavilion looked unperturbed by the news, only looking mildly curious at the news.

Sensing the impatience, anticipation, nervousness, and wonder boiling within Fan Ha, Yang Qing answered,

"I've never met your sister but I do have a friend who is close friends with her,"

"Which friend?" Fan Ha immediately asked, as her mind quickly made a run-through as to the likely suspects, but with how anxious she was, she struggled to make any guess stick.

"I'm not sure if you know her by this name but she goes by the name of Meifeng. She's the purple flower sycamore tree your sister adopted," said Yang Qing.

"Her?!" Fan Ha asked in a tone that was filled with disbelief.

She knew of the tree Yang Qing mentioned but when she left the Deer Mountain Range while the tree had been sentient, it was only a tiny bud at the time and had not completely formed its spirit.

Infected by dark periods in her life where nothing ever seemed to go her way, she colored other things in life the same way too. She had long written off that tree as dead, especially considering its non-combative attributes and weak body.

The purple flower sycamore tree's strengths were in illusion and if someone could overcome that particular attribute, the tree would be no different than a helpless lamb awaiting slaughter.

Without her sister there to protect the tree, Fan Ha didn't believe that it would have been able to survive by itself.

She almost couldn't believe Yang Qing, the only thing that made her hesitate and believe the statement to be true was because her elder sister had already decided on a name for the purple flower sycamore tree just when it was about to bud both physically and spiritually and that name was 'Meifeng'.

"How could she?" Fan Ha muttered slightly dazed before her face quickly regained her usual calm.

"Meifeng, was it? What's her cultivation realm at the moment?" asked Fan Ha.

"First stage of the palace realm,"

"Did she come back? Otherwise, how did she improve so fast?" Fan Ha muttered to herself with a contemplative look.

"Did she say anything else?" Fan Ha asked when she failed to find answers to any of the questions she asked herself with even more questions piling up.

"She didn't say much about you since you left when she was young but she did talk a lot about her childhood friend, the fire adler bear," said Yang Qing as he smiled lightly recalling how Meifeng would show all manner of contrasting emotions when she talked about the fire adler bear.

Even now, during the phone calls they had, she would always find a way to bad mouth him.

"So he is alive too?" Fan Ha asked, her tone sounding relieved, mirrored by the small smile on her face.

"As far as I can tell, yes. I didn't meet with him and neither has Meifeng for quite some time but I can confidently confirm he is okay. He is in seclusion at the moment looking to break through to the domain realm. He is already a quasi-domain expert," said Yang Qing.

"He is?!" Fan Ha asked, looking and sounding slightly surprised by the news.

"He is," answered Yang Qing as part of his attention fell on the unsettled Yu Hui, who though tried to hide it well, looked unnerved.

Fan Ha cast a pitiful smile looking slightly dejected, taken aback and envious at the news.

"I can't believe that little mischievous cub has already surpassed me and is about to step into the domain realm," Fan Ha said as she shook her head, the nature of her smile transforming in the process.

"That is good, that is good," she added, her smile now filled with pride and gentleness as if she was smiling about the achievements of her own child.

It went without saying, that Fan Cai whose attention never left his mother, instantly became envious when he saw her smile. His mother was too absorbed in the news to pay him any heed.

At this moment she looked natural and approachable, with her emotions open for all to see. Xie Yuan was slightly taken aback by it as she wasn't used to seeing Fan Ha this expressive.

"Good, good, I'd expect nothing less from her disciple. That little cub did well not to shame my elder sister. All those times I saved him from her punishments were not in vain," Fan Ha added as she laughed slightly, her laughter blooming like the coming of spring.

She was already a heart-shaking beauty in her own right, but now add the laugh and the exposure of her emotions, it was like the beauty had received a heavenly blessing and was elevated further.

Yang Qing being the serious Judge and paranoid person that he was, remained unshaken, the same couldn't be said for Yu Gen next to him, who looked slightly stunned before he recollected himself as he smiled sheepishly in apology. His smile was met with an understanding smile from Yang Qing and a snort of disdain from Xia Ting.

Li Tian was still the picture of composure and politeness, Fan Cai's steak of shock and envy was still running strong, Yu Hui looked like he just about wanted to leave with how close to the edge of his seat he was, Xie Yuan infected by Fan Ha's laughter found herself smiling, and Meng Jiayi, Yang Qing saw in him the look he had himself whenever he was around Mao Yunru.

If before it was just conjecture about the two of them, the flash in Meng Jiayi's eyes as he looked at Fan Ha more than confirmed it.

"What about the badger? Did she mention him? He too isn't attempting the domain realm is he?" asked Fan Ha, with a liveliness in her tone and demeanor that wasn't there before.

"She did mention him, but he isn't in the Deer Mountain Range at the moment. Hasn't been for the past few hundred years as he left to temper himself.

He was at the middle stages of the palace realm last she saw him,"

"So he left too? With his personality it is to be expected," she said with a reminiscent look.

"So the question I asked earlier, do you count your sister as one of the strong who are free to bend the world to their will?

Those with the freedom to decide what they want," asked Yang Qing, bringing the conversation to the earlier topic.

Fan Ha's eyes glimmered slightly as she smiled, seemingly seeing through Yang Qing's intention.

She wasn't the only one. Everyone present had already seen through it, well everyone except Fan Cai, but for the rest, they were all seasoned individuals capable of reading in between the lines.

This was why Yu Hui looked like he had just eaten a disgusting fly.

Fan Ha with a free air around her, answered,

"Yes, she is. She is one of the few I wholeheartedly believe is worthy to be counted amongst that number."

Her heartfelt admiration and sincerity as she said those words were clear for all to see.

"Did Meifeng ... mention her?" Fan Ha asked, furtively.

"Does she know where she is or has she come back since I left?" She added, looking anxious as she did.

"When did you last see her?"

"About 26,000 years ago," Fan Ha answered, sounding melancholic as she did.

"Then I think she came back but left. Meifeng last saw her about 5,000 years ago. So she must have come back at some point,"

Fan Ha's spirits were instantly raised by the answer.

"And how was she?!"

She looked like she was just about to jump over the table and grab Yang Qing by the robes, with how excited she looked. Fan Cai couldn't believe this was his mother.

Yang Qing touched his chin wondering how to answer said question. When Meifeng talked about her it was as if she was talking about some immortal which didn't highlight much.

"From how Meifeng described her she was more than okay," Yang Qing said, choosing the shortened version of what Meifeng said.

Using secret transmission, Yang Qing quickly asked,

"When you left had she already evolved into a flood dragon?"
