Chapter 62: Chapter 62 Fixing the Light Bulb
Sheila turned on the TV, watching the variety show on the screen, but she found it utterly dull.
She thought about doing some yoga to exercise, but while her body calmed down, her mind could not.
She lay by the window, gazing into the distance at the house next to hers, and her mind couldn’t help but wander.
Many people say that men are good at daydreaming, but in fact, women are certainly no weaker than men in this regard.
Sometimes, with just one look from you, she might have already concocted an entire TV series in her heart.
“The light bulb in my house seems to have a problem, can you come over and help me look at it? [Sad]”
Li Ang, who was in the middle of selecting a character for Brawl in the Polar Region, decisively aborted the game. The randomly selected Bomberman was fun, but obviously the light bulb was more important.
He pushed open the heavy security door, and the figure in front of him, in the hazy light, seemed somewhat different from usual.
“You’re dressed really exquisitely today, did you go to some event?”
Li Ang looked at Sheila in front of him and asked with some surprise.
She was wearing a black satin slip dress that fell just over the knee, and at the chest, it revealed just the right amount of tender white skin.
Around her neck, there was a black mesh-like accessory, akin to a choker.
It made her appear both pure and seductive.
From the exposed lower legs, one could tell that she was wearing a pair of black stockings with a slight thickness today.
On her feet, black lambskin high heels perfectly showcased her trademark feet.
Although Sheila’s overall attire was black, it didn’t look dull or lifeless.
From the clothes to the bright decorations on her belt, along with her delicate makeup, all beautifully highlighted the key points, giving a person a sense of luxury and elegance.
“Hmm… probably… just went for afternoon tea with my girlfriends, you know, I absolutely can’t lose to that little bitch.”
Sheila sounded a tad awkward.
“I really need you right now.”
Li Ang: “Huh?”
“I need you to help me see what’s wrong with my light bulb.”
After Sheila spoke, she quickly turned her face away, very naturally hooking Li Ang’s arm and pulling him toward her room.
“This dress is really smooth, it must be expensive.”
Li Ang silently thought to himself.
Arriving in Sheila’s bedroom, Li Ang fiddled with the light switch a couple of times, and the light bulb’s glow was somewhat erratic, looking like a loose connection.
Li Ang took off his shoes, lifted the corner of the bed sheet, and stepped onto the bed.
On his tiptoes, he could just about reach the light bulb.
He tried twisting it a few times, and, sure enough, as he had thought, it was simply loose, causing a bad connection.
After tightening it, the light bulb immediately returned to normal.
“All done, it’s fixed now, doesn’t look like it was a big issue.”
“My goodness, dear Li, you are just too amazing.”
“It’s nothing, just a little problem,” he said modestly.
Li Ang was a bit embarrassed by Sheila’s praise.
Having lived alone for so many years, dealing with issues like a broken light bulb, a clogged toilet, or a gas stove failing to light—mostly to save money—he solved them by himself, so this kind of malfunction was indeed no difficulty for him.
“You don’t need to be so modest, you know, you’re not even eighteen yet, and being able to do all this is already quite impressive.”
Sheila took Li Ang’s hand, helping him down from the bed while speaking.
“So… should I head back now?”
“Why are you in such a hurry? Don’t worry, it’s very safe here now. Once the door is closed, no one can come in.”
Sheila’s face bore a smile as she held his hand, still not letting go.
“Right, I mentioned teaching you massage last time, seems like my lesson wasn’t quite finished.”
Sheila suddenly thought of something, her eyes lighting up as she spoke.
Without waiting for Li Ang to agree, she pulled him straight to the yoga mat.
“Hiss… could you be a bit gentler, please?”
“Ah? Am I using too much strength?”
“The lesson on massaging the abdomen, we went over that last time… isn’t it time for the next one?”
Li Ang turned his head to look at Sheila as she leaned over.

He felt as if he were staring at an old-fashioned television set, where all he could see apart from black was white.
He wanted to turn his head back, but it was somewhat stiff, likely because he had been training too hard lately, leaving his neck a bit rigid.
Reluctant to stop, Sheila took the opportunity to touch him a few more times before sheepishly responding:
“Is that so? I might have remembered wrong, but it’s still fine to review the last lesson.”
However, as she withdrew her hand from inside Li Ang’s clothes, she noticed something unusual, instinctively lifted up his shirt, and peeked inside.
Even though the light coming through the clothes was now somewhat dim, Sheila still saw the streaks of blood across his chest.
Her voice trembling, she asked, “What happened to your chest? Has someone been abusing you?”
Only then did she realize why Li Ang had said her touch was too heavy, and she was almost on the verge of tears.
Li Ang quickly explained:
“No, not at all. It’s just some superficial wounds from practicing a martial art. Don’t worry too much about it.”
To convince her, Li Ang went ahead and took off his long sleeve shirt.
Visible to the eye, apart from Li Ang’s toned muscles, were various bruises and bloodstains.
Without his explanation, one could easily mistake the marks for Li Ang being a daily victim of domestic abuse.
“Is this martial arts practice really necessary? Can you not practice it?”
Sheila asked with concern in her voice.
Li Ang smiled and replied:
“Actually, these physical pains are nothing. Sometimes, enduring physical torment is to spare oneself from mental humiliation.”
Before Li Ang could finish speaking, Sheila had already drawn him into her embrace.
She didn’t know what Li Ang had gone through to say such words, but she was sure that he needed a hug right now.
And since Li Ang had made his decision, she would not doubt it; instead, she would do her best to support the path he had chosen.
“Just keep lying down; I’ll help you treat these injuries. Maybe this will help them heal a bit faster.”
It must be said, Sheila’s massage skills were indeed much better than his own; having someone else serve him was far superior to doing it himself.
As for sports injuries, Sheila also had plenty of experience. She meticulously cared for each mark, ensuring they received the best treatment.
Li Ang stood up from the yoga mat and immediately felt much more comfortable.
As he was about to thank Sheila, he noticed that she had taken off her high heels and was lying on the yoga mat.
“Alright, now it’s your turn.”
