Chapter 18 - The battle begins.

"Emperor, the enemy is an hour out!" a sergeant shouted. As I looked out from the FOB, I saw that there were 1,000 meters between the tree line they would come out of and the FOB. Looking back at the FOB mortars set up and soldiers standing by, I looked out at my men and nodded. "Bring me a radio and connect me to the speakers in all the FOBs and COPs while you're at it," I said as the sergeant nodded and ran off, returning five minutes later.

"Hear me now, my Rangers, Marines, Soldiers, Airmen, and all those living in my Empire. There are only two ways to live: living your life, being okay with what you have done, or hating what you have failed to do. Right now, beings that have no right to life in my eyes are about to take everything we have worked hard for away from us. They will make the women we saved suffer once more or even kill them, I can not live with that so I stand here on the front lines with you all to tell them they can go to fucking hell. The bible says though shall not murder, but I say fuck that shit. Murder keeps the wicked hidden in the dark, unwilling to lift their heads. The wicked don't fear the righteous; they fear the ruthless, willing to choke them with our bare hands and laugh while we do it! So my men, are you going to let these ugly looking green deadlock fucking rapist kill you or touch those that have already suffered at their hands!"

"FUCK NO!" They yelled.

"ARE YOU GOING TO LET THEM TOUCH THOSE WOMEN AGAIN!" I yelled over the radio and the loudspeaker.

"HELL NO!" They yelled.

"ARE YOU GOING TO SEND THEM TO HELL WHERE THEY FUCKING BELONG! ARE YOU GOING TO RIP THE LIFE THEY HAVE NO RIGHT TO! ARE YOU GOING TO STAND ON THEIR BACKS AND PUT A BULLIET IN THE BACK OF THEIR FUCKING HEAD!" I yelled once more.

"FUCK YES! BLOOD! BLOOD! BRIGHT RED BLOOD!" They screamed with a fanatical fervor. I turned to my radio operator. "Give the order to get all air units in the air, lets send them to where they fucking belong," I said as he sent the order. The A-10s started to take off from FOB New Rome. 12 A-10 Warthogs began to taxi. Six would head my way, and the others would head to the other FOB. As they left, the four B-52s with 70 1,000-pound bombs on board started to take off. The 40 Predator drones began to take off from the drone FOBs, and the helicopters followed suit.

Drums could start to be heard in the distance, and I smirked. "Why don't we play our own music then? Hooking up my iPod, I started to play "Disturbed- Indestructible." It played over all FOB speakers and comms, pumping my men for the bloodshed about to unfold. "Men, take up your posts, and prepare for a glorious battle," I commanded, and everyone started to run to their posts. The FOB wall had thousands on it while thousands were waiting for their turn.

After thirty minutes, movement started to happen as a few Orcs left the tree line, and began to take up file and rank as they marched forward, only stopping 600 meters away as a giant Orc walked out looking at the FOB. I smirked, jumping onto the wall and turning around as I pulled my pants down before speaking on the loudspeaker. "You dumb fucking Orcs come kiss my white ass!" I finished saying that before pulling up my pants and returning to the walkway.

The Orcs didn't take kindly to that act, so I turned and passed my order out. "M2, Mk19, M240B, XM250, and SIG M338 don't shoot until they pass the 300-meter mark; that way, you don't need to worry about aiming. Grenadiers don't engage until 200 meters, and riflemen engage at 150 meters. Let this battlefield flow with the blood of the wick and let our Empire be baptised in the glory of cleansing this world of those who wish to make humans suffer!" I yelled as the Orcs couldn't handle the shame and started to break ranks, charging us.

"550 meters!"

"500 meters!"

"450 meters!"

"400 meters!"

"350 meters, prepare to fire!"

"FIRE!" I yelled out as the crew-served weapons opened up. The .50 caliber rounds fired, ripping through the wave of orcs, making them fall in the hundreds or even thousands as a wall of lead and 40mm grenades hit them.

"Grenadiers, open fire!" I yelled as more 40mm from the M32A1 rotary hand-held grenade launchers. As the machine guns reloaded their ammo, and the moment the Genadiers stopped, the riflemen started to open fire along with the crew-served weapons.

"Mortar men, load!" I yelled as the Orcs had stalled at 150 meters. "FIRE!" I called over the radio as I lifted my weapon and shot an Orc that was able to make it past the 150-meter mark. With the Mortar fire, the Orcs started to get pushed back when I heard a horn being blown, and a call over the radio came through.

"Emperor, a group of 10,000 orcs is moving through the left side of the forest!" it called out. I picked up my radio. "M270 units, I want the forest designated fire spot two gone. I repeat, I don't want to see that forest again!" I yelled as I opened fire on another Orc.

25km behind the front.

"Fire mission! Fire all M26 rockets, we are leveling that forest men!" Yelled the Battalion commander as all 27 M270 MLRS(Multiple Launch Rocket System) fired 12 rockets each before moving 150 meters forward, dropping the empty pods and starting to load new ones.

The front line.

"Left side incoming, artillery, take cover behind the wall!" I called over the radio, as the sound of rockets could be heard in the air before breaking apart and releasing their 644 submunitions. Then the bomblets fell into the forest, ripping the trees and branches apart, and screams could be heard. Then another M26, this repeated for three minutes before the forest looked like swish cheese, and there wasn't any movement from it.

"Fire another round when reloaded," I called over to make sure those orcs arent dumb enough to try to flank my ass. "Call in the Drones, attach their rear line, I want to start making more chaos on the battlefield!" I said before firing on an Orc that reached the 50-meter mark. Explosions could be heard in the back of the Orcs as twenty drones dropped their payload on the reserves as I signaled the next part and the A-10s lowered their altitude 20 km away, preparing to start their run on the middle of the wave of Orcs as they pick up a V shape flight formation.

The soldiers on the wall started to switch out as they went through their ammo and needed to reload their supply. A fresh wave of soldiers took up their firing points. I looked over the battlefield and smiled. I could tell half of the Orcs had been killed, and with the gun run about to happen before they even reached the FOB wall, this battle was over for the Orcs.

"General, you can take over now. I need to reload, and the A-10s are about to run, breaking the middle of the wave, which should give the soldiers a break in the attack from the Orcs. If they retreat, call the B-52s to drop their payload on the retreating enemy, then send out drones to see if any are still left for the Helicopters to clean up." As I said, the A-10s started to send their cluster bombs out before turning around and getting ready to open with their 30mm guns.

He took command as I walked to the resupply point and pulled out my magazines. "Emperor, the other FOB pushed the enemy back, and the B-52s have bombed their retreat. That battle ended in victory. The Orcs didn't breach the FOB, only a few injuries, and no deaths." Lt. Jefferson said while reloading a magazine.

"It's been a good day for us, and a shitty day for them," I said, laughing.
