Chapter 87: Stream [ 2 ]
FrostByte: Support just heal people!
ShadowDragon: No go midlane you get to fight 1v1
ToxicOrFeed: Jungle hahahahaha!
Kai squinted at the screen, a mischievous grin spreading across his face. "Jungle sounds peaceful. Like, trees, monsters, maybe a river. I’ll take it!"
The chat erupted in chaos.
PixelQueen:Nooooooo!
AetherGlide: You have chosen death!
But it was too late,he locked in Jungle and hit confirm with a flourish.
A dazzling roster of champions appeared before him, each one more fantastical than the last, armored knights, spell-slinging mages, and even literal monsters.
His gaze landed on Rhaegon, the Infernal Warden, a hulking draconic warrior wielding an enormous axe.
"This guy! This is the one," Kai declared confidently. "Big sword, well, axe. Big axe. Big dragon energy! Sold!"
JinxMain:...he’s one of the hardest champs in the game!
FrostByte: Actually unplayable!
Ignoring their warnings like a true adventurer, Kai locked in Rhaegon.
The loading screen flickered to life, showcasing the enemy team’s picks, a nimble assassin, a glowing sorceress, and a tank that looked like a walking fortress.
"Alright, let’s do this!" he said with determination.
As the world materialized around him in breathtaking detail, Kai felt his breath catch in awe.
He stood at the heart of the Azure Sanctum, their base, where the air crackled with ozone and magic danced through enchanted stone underfoot.
"Whoa."
He flexed Rhaegon’s claws and gripped his massive axe tightly; it felt real, the haptic feedback from his gloves mimicked resistance while ambient sounds streamed directly into his ears.
"Okay, jungle time! Let’s find some monsters."
Moving towards the Crimson Bramble, the game’s jungle quadrant, he marveled at the thick foliage glowing with bioluminescent spores while distant growls sent shivers down his spine.
Suddenly...a massive wolf-like creature emerged from the shadows, the Bramble Alpha!
"Oh no..."
The beast lunged at him ferociously. Kai barely managed to swing his axe as its impact reverberated up his arms; he watched helplessly as his health bar plummeted.
"Why does it hit so hard ?!" he yelled in disbelief.
FrostByte: Kite it you idiot!
ShadowDragon: use your abilities!
Kai frantically mashed buttons, his heart racing as Rhaegon’s Infernal Cleave ignited, a sweeping arc of fire that finally felled the monstrous foe.
"HA! Who’s the jungle now?!" he exclaimed, a triumphant grin plastered across his face.
But PixelQueen quickly reminded him, "...you’re level 1. The game has 18 levels." Ouch. Reality check!
On stream, viewers watched in a mix of horror and amusement as Kai’s Rhaegon stumbled through the jungle, barely scraping by with each encounter.
His map awareness? Nonexistent.
His pathing? Utterly chaotic. It was like watching a baby deer take its first steps, adorable yet painfully awkward.
And then... disaster struck.
Out of nowhere, the enemy jungler, a lithe assassin known as Veyra the Phantom Blade, ambushed him at the River Shrine.
Panic surged through Kai as he fumbled every ability, missing wildly while Veyra danced around him like a shadowy whirlwind, her blades flashing dangerously close.
"How is she everywhere?!" he shouted in disbelief.
ToxicOrFeed chimed in with a cheeky comment: "WELCOME TO LEAGUE!"
Rhaegon fell to Veyra’s relentless assault. First Blood claimed!
The enemy team erupted in cheers over all-chat while Kai’s teammates were less than supportive:
Teammate1: report jungle
Teammate2: actual bot
Kai groaned in frustration. "Chat! What do I do?"
FrostByte suggested bluntly: "FF" (forfeit).
ShadowDragon echoed: "FF!"
PixelQueen added her own vote: "FF!"
With a sigh but determination flickering in his eyes, Kai declared, "Fine! Let’s go for another round." He wasn’t ready to give up just yet!
AetherGlide couldn’t help but comment: "...he’s hooked."
------------
Kai "NovaStrike" Ryker had seen better days. Humiliated, flamed, and outplayed more times than he could count, he had lost track of how many times he have been hacked and killed.
He have been playing for hours now.The thrill of the game had dulled into a monotonous grind.
His journey through League of Legends felt like a brutal descent into madness, missed skill shots, accidental tower dives, and countless moments of him screaming in frustration, "Why can’t I move?!" as a Morgana root locked him down for what felt like an eternity.
But today? Today was different.
The glow from his triple-monitor setup bathed his gaming den in an eerie blue light as Kai cracked his knuckles, eyes laser-focused on the champion select screen.
The chat was a whirlwind of messages flying by so fast that only his neural-linked overlay could keep up with the chaos.
FrostByte: bro if you pick Yasuo again I swear to god...
PixelQueen: Just play malphite press R and win!
ToxicOrFeed: laughs in 0/10 power spike
Ignoring the noise, Kai’s cursor hovered over Garen, the Might of Demacia himself.
"No fancy mechanics today," he muttered with determination. "No dashes, no skill shots, just me, my big-ass sword, and the sweet sound of justice."
He locked in.
The chat erupted like a volcano:
AetherGlide: Oh my god he is learning !
ShadowDragon: Garwn??? Who are you and what have you done with Nova ?!
Kai smirked to himself. "That’s right. I’ve embraced the dark side."
His team comp looked solid, a Lux mid, Jhin bot, Leona support, and Hecarim jungle, but then he glanced at the enemy lineup and felt a chill run down his spine. Zed? Check. Vayne? Double check. And worst of all... Teemo.
Kai shuddered involuntarily. "I hate that rat."
FrostByte: everyone hates Teemo!
PixelQueen: Teemo is the devil!
As the game loaded up, Kai took a deep breath while spawning on Summoner’s Rift; the familiar hum of the Nexus pulsed behind him like a heartbeat.
He bought his starting items (Dorans Shield, because who needed extra pain?) and marched toward top lane with purpose.
His opponent? Darius.
"Oh come on," Kai groaned dramatically. "The one guy who’s even more braindead than Garen."
The early laning phase unfolded like a cautious dance, Kai last-hit minions with precision while dodging Darius’s Apprehend attack and occasionally pressing Q to silence that axe-wielding menace before retreating like a tactical coward.
