Born Into Villain's Family: I Have a 200\% Rebate System-Chapter 159: Flirting
Chapter 159: Chapter 159: Flirting
When Aurora turned around, she saw two girls and one boy. All of them had excited expressions on their face.
Mia’s eyes fell on Dana, and she froze. She then hurriedly lowered her head and said,
"Let Aurora decide it."
Aurora’s eyes narrowed, seeing Mia’s reaction.
Did Dana bully Mia before? Or was she Mia’s stepsister?
Dana broke out in a cold sweat. She didn’t even know why Mia had reacted that way. As far as she could remember, she had always been nice to Mia.
Aurora crossed her arms and shook her head,
"No."
Before the trio could defend themselves, Mia tugged on Aurora’s sleeves and said in a soft voice,
"Don’t decline them."
Aurora: "...." Am I misunderstanding something?
She gave a fake smile to the trio and dragged Mia away from them.
"What is happening? Has one of them ever bullied you? Is it Dana?"
Mia shook her head and said with a red face,
"I...I like her."
One second.
Two seconds.
Finally, Aurora blinked and came to her senses. She patted her chest and rolled her eyes,
"You should have said so. I was scared that one of them had bullied you and almost wanted to teach them a lesson."
Mia stared at Aurora for a while and asked cautiously,
"Don’t you have any other opinion? Like...being uncomfortable or something?"
Aurora looked at her seriously and asked,
"Do you want to know my honest opinion?"
Mia nodded.
"Then I will tell you. I am shocked. A bit taken aback and a bit resistant. Resistant because I was completely unfamiliar with such a concept...you know, girls loving girls.
But that is purely because I have only seen men loving a woman and seeing them getting married.
It’s my lack of insight that makes me resistant. But that doesn’t mean I hate it. I don’t hate you. I think... I just need a little time to get used to the idea."
Mia’s face turned redder. She was holding the hem of her sleeve and twisting it nervously.
"You’re not mad?" she whispered.
Aurora shook her head and gave her a small smile.
"No, silly. Why would I be mad? You’re still the same Mia. Just... a little braver than I thought."
Mia blinked fast, like she was trying not to cry.
Aurora added,
"And hey, Dana seems nice. Maybe you should talk to her more. Just don’t expect me to be a love coach. I barely have any experience."
Mia giggled through her nerves. "Thank you, Aurora. Really."
Aurora nodded, then smirked a little. "But if she breaks your heart, I will fight her."
Mia laughed harder this time, and they both walked back toward their desks, feeling a little lighter.
When they passed Dana’s group, Mia gave Dana a tiny wave, and Dana waved back with a surprised but happy look on her face.
Aurora watched the exchange and whispered to herself,
"Hope everything ends well for her."
Then she looked at Betsy, Dana, and Luca and nodded her head,
"You can join the group."
Betsy smiled and immediately held Aurora’s hand,
"In fact, I loved the way you taught Mrs. Barlow a lesson. She always picked on me and my friends for no reason. Seeing you teach her a lesson made me feel thrilled."
Aurora smiled and pulled back her hand.
"Indeed. Anyway, let’s decide on a topic before assigning the parts."
Betsy gave a smile and nodded. However, in her mind, she complained,
’Rich people are indeed too vigilant! I just held her hand, and she withdrew it as if I am some germ!’
.........
After the discussion, Aurora picked up her bag and was about to leave when Spencer stood up too and said,
"Wait for me. I will drop you."
Aurora slung the bag and declined,
"No need."
Betsy, who was silent till now, suddenly said,
"Wait, Spencer. Can you drop me off too? I live kinda close to Aurora anyway."
"My car only has one seat, and even that has a name. So I can’t." Spencer said in a serious voice.
Betsy didn’t back down and continued,
"Is it my name?"
Spencer gave a disdainful glance to Betsy and said,
"I don’t want to dirty my car."
Betsy: "..." What?
Aurora: "..." So brutal
Betsy stood there with her mouth slightly open, her face twitching like she couldn’t believe what she had just heard.
She forced a laugh and crossed her arms.
"Haha, very funny, Spencer. I’ll just take the bus or something," she said, but her voice was tight, and her smile didn’t reach her eyes.
Spencer didn’t even bother replying. He just looked at Aurora and said,
"You sure you don’t want a ride?"
Aurora raised an eyebrow. "I already said no. Do you need me to write it down?"
Spencer smirked,
"Sure. But write it on my..."
Then he leaned toward Aurora’s ears and whispered,
"...chest."
Aurora’s heart skipped a beat as that mesmerizing pair of blue eyes locked onto hers. Suppressing the rising panic in her heart, she smirked back and said,
"Sure. I will bring the knife to write it."
Spencer chuckled, not even fazed. "Ouch. That’s cold, Aurora. Real cold."
Aurora turned away, hiding the slight blush that crept onto her face. "Then wear thicker skin next time."
Betsy stood nearby, watching them with narrowed eyes. She looked from Spencer to Aurora and back again.
"What are you guys, some kind of comedy duo now?" she said with a forced smile.
Spencer gave her a flat look. "Only if you’re the audience. Silent and far away."
Betsy almost cried again.
Dana squeezed Betsy’s hand and whispered,
"Stop it. You are only embarrassing yourself."
Betsy gritted her teeth but didn’t continue. She then turned toward her boyfriend to receive some comfort and realized...he had been staring at Aurora all along.
In an instant, jealousy gripped her heart.
Why does Aurora have everything?
Money...looks...boys...even the most popular boy is after her!
"What are you looking at?" Betsy almost shouted at Luca.
Luca was startled and subconsciously replied,
"Aurora. She is so beautiful..."
Betsy’s face turned bright red, like a tomato about to explode. She looked like she wanted to scream and cry all at once.
"Luca!" she hissed. "You’re my boyfriend! How can you say that in front of me?!"
Luca blinked, confused. "But I was just telling the truth..."
Betsy stomped her foot. "You’re not supposed to say that kind of truth! You’re supposed to say I’m beautiful!"
Dana sighed and whispered again, "Stop yelling. People are looking."
Betsy turned away, arms crossed tightly over her chest. "Ugh! This is the worst day ever."
...................
Unaware of the drama, Aurora reached the private room arranged by Emily and entered it.
The moment she entered, Aurora was stunned.
Inside the room was a woman in her early 20s.
She had a youth charm, pale skin, bright red lips, and black hair that was tied in a messy bun, and she was wearing a white t-shirt with denim shorts.
Beautiful.
When she sensed Aurora’s arrival, she stood up and gritted,
"Hello, Miss Dawn."
At her greeting, Aurora realized her current apperance. She was wearing a black veil and a floral red and white dress
She nodded at Adeline and motioned for her to sit down.
Adeline nervously sat down and looked at Aurora intently.
2 days before, Miss Dawn’s assistant Emily contacted her and told her that Miss Dawn was interested in meeting with her.
For a moment, she thought a scammer was calling her, but only after Emily’s repeated confirmation and proof did she believe her.
Adeline was with Henry for years and learned about the legendary investor Miss Dawn, who owns tens of millions.
For Adeline, tens of millions was a huge amount.
She was having a hard time paying off the debt of $1.2 million left by her father and Henry. Meanwhile, Miss Dawn had tens of millions of dollars!
They were truly from different worlds.
If only Miss Dawn would hire and make her an assistant or something. Then, she could continue to work three more jobs and would be able to pay off the debt of $1.2 million within the next 10 years!
Aurora saw that Adeline was lost in thought and cleared her throat.
Adeline came back to her senses and smiled,
"Miss Dawn, you wanted to meet? Is there anything that I can help with?"
Aurora got straight to the point,
"I heard you are very interested in becoming a doctor."
A hint of sadness appeared in Adeline’s eyes. Indeed, she was very interested in becoming a doctor, but she had to drop out in the 3rd year due to her family’s money problems. She looked down at her lap and nodded slowly.
"Yes... I wanted to be a doctor. But for some reason, I couldn’t."
Aurora nodded, then suddenly she asked,
"You also have a loan of $1.2 million, is that true?"
Adeline nodded again, but her teeth were clenched.
Aurora asked,
"Why do you have such a huge loan on you?"
