Biocores: The Legendary Weapon Designer-Chapter 42: Ancient Biocore
Chapter 42: Ancient Biocore
After the apparition of a canonized mecha amid the summer hunt. The devil’s enclave had been excluded from the competition and placed under special watch. A half-baked communication message was sent to the viewer notifying them of the result of that particular section.
"Due to unforeseen events, the Devil’s enclave contestants will be advanced to the next stage by default should they decide to continue to proceed"
The public’s reaction was mixed. Some wanted clarity on the situation and whether cheating was involved. Who was the guilty? How were the survivors?
Others were fine with the message as long as they got to see their favorite corebinder on camera very soon. The popularity of Nioh and his team has exploded exponentially. Their unique style, unconventional strategies, and custom weapons have conquered the hearts of the fiefdom.
Every forum and summer hunt-related conversation was about them. The instigator of this disruption was locked in his lab fiddling with his "pebble".
"So let me understand. This thing was so strong it destroyed a full battallion of Mechas" Ekoh chimed in very doubfully.
"I am telling the truth, it was quite terrifying in my vision. But now I don’t understand why it doesn’t react to any stimuli" Nioh replied.
His brain was spinning in all directions trying to make the ancient biocore react. The stone-like biocore was unresponsive leaving him and Ekoh dejected.
"Let’s think about it from another perspective," Nioh said.
"What do you mean?" Ekoh asked.
" Well, we have tried to make it react with biocore energy, kinetic energy, plasma, nuclear, and radioactive. But it didn’t bulge."
"You are not saying anything new." Ekoh interrupted.
Nioh jumped from his working station to another part of his lab and began searching for a book. After searching aggressively he found the book titled theories of biocores origins.
"I read a theory, from this old book that said the origins of biocore are metaphysical" Nioh spoke.
"Metaphysical?"
"Yes! I had the same reaction when I read the passage. but let me find it:
According to the speculation, biocores are born, from the power of intent. A strong obsession, a deep sadness, a tragic loss or euphorial joy are all triggers to the inception of biocores."
"If we consider that the theories back then are based on the specific encounters they had with special biocore these ancient biocore might very well be the embodiement of that"
"So what intent, do you think sired this pebble?" Ekoh demanded.
" I my vision, It would kill a mecha, and somehow absorb its shape and power. It would become an amalgams of it. Almost like it would attempt to copy it, or become it" Nioh explained freewёbnoνel.com
"Would we call that the intent of greed?" Ekoh questioned.
"It is wrong to call it intent, It a bit more sinister"
"The sin of Greed?" Ekoh asked while watching Nioh fiddle with the pebble.
And instantly the stone began to glow and turned in a bright red cristal, then deep blue, and icy cold before returning into pebble form. A grin appeared on Nioh’s face as a replied
"No! the sin of Envy"

One random morning a thread appeared under the official page of the summer hunt.
It was titled "The Truth about Custom Weapons". Easily and simply the post detailed the weapon the performance, including the performance sheets and a few clips from the testing period.
It didn’t take much for the thread to go viral. Especially since it was signed under a newly created account titled Ekoh.
Littlegiant: I am struggling to believe what I am seeing. Although we are talking about low level weapons here the functionality rate is too high.
Bozo123: This Ekoh is probably a charlatan how can one biocore be used to create two weapons? This is incomprehensible.
Lama26: The amount of time required to decipher the components, while keeping them stable as a stand-alone is pure madness.
Lunatic3: Speak English, please. Is what is detailed in the report true or not?
Lama26: It is technically possible but only a madman can do it.
Littlegiant: Does someone have the contact of this Ekoh I want to commission a weapon.
Lunatic3: where is that weapon designer that Prince Pax hired that was so proud of 75% functionality? Who is wasting materials now?
Bozo123: You are all focusing on the Cape and Crown. But look at what he did with the Tree Shield and the Ice Bracers. He took a completely unoriginal weapon and turned it into something multifunctional. No wonder that team was sweeping during the summer hunt."
Lama26: The designer’s understanding of biocore, and war tactics is outstanding. Somebody find Ekoh
The name Ekoh became the trending topic on all the servers across the fiefdom.
Fan pages were dedicated to this mythical character overnight

X walked into the laboratory with a smile on his face.
"Why are you so happy?" Nioh asked.
His workbench was filled with research document, hover screens, circuits and material. The floor was in a similar state leaving no space for movement.
The culprit himself was seated in the middle of the chaos with his hair unkept. Judging by the stench, he probably hasn’t showered in day.
If The world could see how nasty their newfound idol was in his daily life. I bet you all would like him less. X thought as he shook his head in disappointment.
"Look for yourself" he said before throwing a virtual screen to him. X then went one to open the windows, and allowing some fresh air and natural sunlight into the lab.
"You really need a squire! You can’t keep this up," he nagged.
Nioh pulled up the screen and went through the report regarding the "sudden" apparition of Ekoh, the mysterious weapon designer.
According to the rumors, Ekoh was a thirty year old researcher from a recluse clan in another fiefdom that had been recruited personaly by the Monarch to create weapons for the Princes as to avoid a repeat of the previous incident with the heir.
Other rumors said it was a female with unparalelle beauty who liked to go against the flow and disrupt the nature of science.
The rumors were well-established and sufficiently sourced to cause mass confusion while protecting his real identity.
"This work is very well done. I am having a hard time believing you have done this yourself." Nioh said while stretching his sore limbs from sitting too long.
"It was done by our resident AI. Her name is Xenah. I will introduce you when I get the chance. She is the architect behind the rise of the Persona of Ekoh."
"Glorious." Nioh clapped his hands before sitting back down.
"So what do we do next?"
"We wait."
"What do we wait for? "
"A phone call. A very important one," He replied with a grin.
