Beastmen Love-Chapter 193: Critical Hit on the Spouses

Dante and Xzan are so happy they had that time with Astri now. They felt they grew closer to her even though they didn’t have time alone with her. She gave attention to both.

Astri’s spouses were at the front gate waiting for her. Atlas runs to her when he spots her, and she carries him, smooching his cheeks and neck.

"You took longer than you said you would." Lee says to Dante and Xzan.

"It’s my fault. We spent a long time where they wanted to take me." Astri says, kissing Yuki’s head and then walking to greet Aurora, too.

"Where did they want to take you so much?" Wayde asks, crossing his arms.

"A paper factory! It was so awesome! I could watch how paper is made." Astri excitedly answers.

"They.. build a paper factory for you?" Koa asks, impressed.

"Not only for me. They built a whole new business with it." She explains how Xzan invited Jerry to come live there and how they’re using the paper business with merchants.

Astri’s spouses were envious of those two for not thinking about that before them.

Xzan and Dante’s proud smiles were enough to show that they had done beyond what Astri’s spouses imagined they could do.

"I see.. That was smart." Lee pouts.

"I’m happy that you’re happy." Claud says to Astri.

"Thank you. We also checked the arena for the tournament, and it blew up my expectations, too."

Astri greets each of her spouses and then walks around the garden with her children.

"It’s not because we are letting you two court her that you can just do things out of your own liking." Kangki says to Xzan and Dante.

"It wasn’t to our liking. She wanted to see the city she lives in." Dante says.

At night, while they were having dinner, Astri noticed everyone was quiet and deep in thought. Yuki also noticed her fathers were sad.

"What happened, fawthes?" Yuki asks, worried.

That question made them wake up and notice that their children were watching them, worried. Then they looked at Astri, who was also worried, but probably not talking because she doesn’t want to worry the children more or doesn’t want to talk about it in front of the children.

They show their smiles and just say they were thinking about something, but they’re fine.

Astri goes to put her children to bed, giving them kisses goodnight.

"Why were our fathers sad, Mom?" Kai asks.

"Well, your fathers sometimes will feel the need to think about themselves? Sometimes we’re faced with things we weren’t expecting, and it hurts a little when we notice them. It’s all right to feel what they’re feeling. It will make them stronger. They will be fine." She explains.

"Are they sad because of Leaders Xzan and Dante? Will you accept them?" Hopin asks.

"The answer to both questions is: maybe. Now, go to sleep, my loves. Tomorrow we have a long day at the tournament." Astri answers and stands up.

"Mom?" Yuki asks.

"Will you always love our fathers? Even when they’re bad?"

"Yes, sweetie. I’ll always love them. They love my bad sides, too. And I’ll always love you, too. I’ll always be with you." She answers with a smile and then blows up the candle for them to sleep.

Yuki and Atlas got used to sleeping next to each other. Elias, Kai, and Hopin have their own separate beds, but they like to sleep next to each other.

Astri gets inside the bedroom, and her spouses was waiting in silence. Albus was sleeping already, Astri took Aurora to breastfeed before she slept.

"No!" They answered, impressed and in unison, which shook Albus and Aurora a little. "Sorry.."

"You didn’t do anything wrong.. There was just something Xzan and Dante said that made me question many things." Beau answers softly, and the others agree.

"Do you want to talk about it?" She asks.

"I just want to say I’m sorry. I feel I’m not being as romantic and lovely to you. We make love, but that’s not everything you need. I want to make you feel special more often." Wayde says.

The others agree, and Astri smiles.

"We were envious that Dante and Xzan were romantic. But that was a warning of something we were missing to do.." Dieg softly says.

"It’s all right, loves. Sometimes we won’t be as romantic because we will face times when it’s just hard to stay the same. We also get used to each other. It’s almost like doing the dishes. Sometimes we leave dirty dishes there knowing that someone will end up washing it, but we don’t realize that we might be always relying on others to do things. I think this happens when we live together for so long." She says.

Luckily, Aurora falls asleep easily, so when she’s done eating, Zin takes her and helps her burp, letting her sleep on his chest.

"I just want you to know that I love you all the same way. I trust you with all my heart. You all have changed and done so much for me, and I don’t have words to thank you for that. I will always love you. Every each of you." She says.

They smile, thrilled. Kangki was the one closest to her, so he hugged her and held the others away with his powers. The others complain, and Kangki sighs, annoyed, but lets them make the huge hug ball.

"I promise I’ll be better to you, Astri. Being the oldest mate, I think I’m the one who most lacks in romance now." Wayde says.

"If that makes you feel any better. I was a Monster before, and I didn’t even know what romance was. I have no idea what I’m doing about romance." Kangki says, and Astri chuckles.

"You all are romantic in your own way. Don’t get too worried about this. Also, when I watch taking care of kids and playing with them it’s not even being romantic, but makes my heart jump every freaking time." She says.

"Really?" They ask.

"Yes! When I see you doing labor work like cutting firewood. Or even cooking. It makes my heart filled with love, too. I can’t keep staring too much or else I get hot." She admits, making them chuckle too. "It’s not about only being romantic. Not always we can be romantic. It’s the little details of our daily lives that make everything special."

"But... Are you happy? Xzan said you were so happy after walking around the city. We never brought you to see around because we were more worried about keeping you safe." Zin asks.

"I am happy. And you do your jobs as my protectors, the way you see fit. But I must admit they made me happy too when they brought me to see the city. I can feel that everything feels better through the energies I feel from here, but seeing with my own eyes was a completely different experience. I could see that they evolved. I could see the reason why I’m doing this. They feel like a big family. I could see the community living for each other. People are thinking about each other. Children playing happily on their own. I never saw something like that in my life, and that made me happy." She tells.

They smiled at what she told them.

"We will take you to walk around more often, too. We forget sometimes that you accepted a job to help people that you don’t even know. They must also always remember who you are, too. To always remember they’re privileged to live near you." Lee says.

"And I’m privileged to live near them. They made me want to be better, too."

"As long as you don’t get more males. I feel that 12 is too much to wait in the line." Tyr whines, making the other chuckle in agreement.

"You already accepted them, right? I wanted to talk to you about them, but as I can see, you already accepted them." She says.

"They saved your life. They made you happy. I’m fine with that." Lee admits.

"What made me accept them was that it made us see something we were failing to see. I believe that it’s the greatest thing to do as males. They have my respect." Claud says, and the others agreed in unison.

Astri smiles, proud of them.

"Remember when I learned about this thing of having several mates, Claud? For me, it was absurd having more than one. I feel a little worried about having so many males still, but I started to see it as normal. That freaks me out a little, too." She says.

"You will never be like other females on that matter, love. You never failed at loving us, and you do that without forcing anything. You don’t have to worry about anything... Even though I don’t want to stay in line for so long." Claud answers.
