Beastmen Love-Chapter 123: Change Of Hearts
Chapter 123: Change Of Hearts
Khan doesn’t want Astri to do what he needs to do, and he wants to take Ana to show Astri that she won’t control him.
"I won’t stop her from killing you. She’s right. That female isn’t worth the fight either, you have other breeders." Kangki speaks.
"Will you let her say what we need to do?" Khan asks Kangki.
Kangki’s eyes go dark, showing he’s angry with Khan’s question. Everyone there are not sure, but those eyes show that Kangki would kill even his own son.
"I already have what I need from her. If you want something it will be your fight. I’m not helping. And if you question me again, I’ll help them burn your corpse." Kangki seriously says.
His voice is dark enough to make no one question that he is capable of killing his own son.
"He just hates leaving empty handed." Astri snorts, making the air less tense.
Khan takes a deep breath and decides to stop, because he knows that his father won’t help him and his death is certain on her hands.
"Just leave those walls and you will see this handsome face again, darling. The Daughter of Nature will only protect you here. We will see each other when you go to choose your next slaves." Khan has a scary and evil grin on his face.
Khan starts to walk to the door.
"I can see everything, junior. Don’t even think about doing anything on your way out." Astri says, and Khan answers with a growl right before hitting the door close.
Kangki looked around and seeing so many people inside made him annoyed.
"Why are there so many people here?" Kangki asks her.
"They’re visitors."
Then he looks at Dieg, who has his eyes fixed on Kangki and ready to protect Astri. Kangki could feel that Dieg was different from others and had powers of Nature like Claud.
"You’re getting smarter on choosing your new spouses." Kangki smiles, like challenging Dieg, who growls back. "I’ll come visit you another time. Never leave me talking by myself again." He says to her and she nods.
"I had a reason. Your son was here and he wanted to be killed."
Kangki smiles, knowing that she sticks to her partnership with him and that makes him feel somehow special. He nods approvingly and then he fades away.
Claud explains again who Astri is, amazing who didn’t even imagine that someone could be that powerful and important.
"Choosing to fight and desire Astri’s death, is the same as desiring to destroy Nature. That’s why she became someone Khan would want as a breeder. To create more violent and blood seeker Monsters." Claud explains.
Shung and Fraz look at Ana, disappointed and also feeling guilty. Her spouses also look away and don’t even know what to think about their future. Astri walks to Ana and looks at her eyes.
"Please, listen to me, Ana. No one here is obligated to like me. There are other females that also do not like me. I don’t want you to like me. However, the others don’t feed evil things inside of them. The others simply live with what they have. That’s not the ideal, but it would be enough to prevent something like this from happening. I protected you because you’re my sister, because I see Shung and Fraz as my parents since I became Dieg’s spouse. But I can’t protect you forever and if your heart gets even more corrupted, I’ll have to let them take you. If they take you, your spouses will suffer until the day you die. You will suffer until you die. Can you understand that?"
Ana nods, not being capable of answering with her voice.
"I suggest you nurture better feelings inside of you. Do the opposite that you were doing, and don’t walk outside these walls until you’re sure your heart is good and that won’t attract Khan again. Don’t let even your cubs outside because he’s capable of doing anything to trick you. Is that what you want?"
Ana denies with her head, crying. Astri looks at Ana’s spouses.
"You now know what happens when you choose a female blindly. Now it’s your duty not only to protect her, but now teach her what love is. Teach her that she also owes you respect and also has duties in your family. Even being who I am, I love and respect my spouses because they give me the greatest blessings I could have. Stop spoiling her and stop simply doing anything she wants just because she’s a female. Raise your cubs to be different and better. Prevent them from becoming what Monsters look after and be stronger."
They nod slowly.
"Thank you, Astri... You don’t need to protect her anymore. I think she already has to face the consequences of her choices." Shung says to Astri.
Fraz nods in agreement. Ana is looking down, feeling ashamed.
"Do your best. Your cubs are still welcome here to play." Astri taps Ana’s shoulders, then she walks to the kitchen.
"Who was that? That other Monster that talked to you as if you were friends?" Dieg asks Astri.
"He’s the Monster King of this territory. His name is Kangki. We found an agreement and we have a peace treaty. We don’t cross each other’s lines and that’s it. I called him here because his son was crossing the line." Astri explains.
"I don’t think you should trust him, Astri."
"She doesn’t. This way she can make sure that he doesn’t cross the boundaries. Ana was lucky because if we were outside the Tribes’ Walls Astri wouldn’t be capable of helping her." Wayde explains.
"Lady Astri is like a.. Goddess." One of Ana’s spouses says.
"In my Kingdom she is a Goddess." Beau proudly affirms.
"And mine too." Koa also affirms.
"I’m just a glutton who likes her garden." Astri says.
Everyone smiles, feeling the air getting less tense.
"I trust that all of you here will keep her identity a secret. We can’t let this get out of control." Lee seriously demands from everyone there, who nods in answer.
"But.. knowing that we have a Goddess here, won’t it attract the best beastmen here?" One of Fraz’s spouses asks.
"Yes, and no. We have the probation period not only to know if they would follow our laws, but also to know if they might become a threat to the balance here." Claud tells.
"It’s good that Ana’s and Fraz’s spouses know. They can also be the mediators of new members. The tribes are getting bigger and bigger. We need people we trust to keep the order." Astri smiles at them.
Ana’s spouses are impressed to know that even if they have a troublesome spouse she still trusts them. They feel they need to make that trust turn into better things, so they’re decided to make a real difference now forward.
When they come back to their cabin, all of them gather after the cubs fall asleep.
"Things will be different now, Ana. You’re our spouse, but now we won’t let you risk our lives and the Tribes anymore. You will need to learn to respect us, take responsibility and stop doing evil things."
"If you want to be seen as great here, be great first. Lady Astri became the greatest female every male desires because she does great things and not bad things. Her spouses get stronger and stronger because she supports them. Their cubs are strong because she guides them to be good and strong and not only dependent on a female."
"You’re our everything now, but we won’t let you keep on like this. If you don’t change, I’ll bring my cubs to be raised with Fraz. Then I’ll accept death and not help you with anything."
They tell their thoughts to her, and she quietly hears. She nods at the end. She was very affected by Astri now. Astri doesn’t show half of what she is to everyone, and that little part she exposes already makes her an image everyone desires to have close.
It’s not the first time Astri protects Ana too, so she has to admit that Astri had all reasons to not help and she still helped.
"The cubs.. Tell them to not go outside the walls." Ana softly says.
"We will, but you will tell them that too. Show them that you care. All of them want to stay away from here because of you. Now it’s your chance to become a better mother. Tell them why they will have to stay inside the walls."
She nods.
——
Things became very different after that day. Ana stopped ordering around and focused on becoming a better mother. She didn’t accept any more spouses, and supported her spouses to become stronger.
They organized their routine, their cubs stayed around her more and more and she’s becoming a better female day by day. Ana can’t deny that she feels that life is happier than before.
And Astri is genuinely happy to watch Ana letting her heart be purified by free will. It’s sad that Ana had to go through something so bad to finally change, but Astri is happy that she finally opened her eyes.
