Beast Hack: Customizing Beasts and Capturing Beauties-Chapter 443: War-Born: L-Drake and L-Snake
The lab lights dimmed slightly as Lucius stood in front of the chamber.
Liline stood beside him, calm and ready.
In the center of the room, two stasis beds rolled forward.
On one bed lay Scaldrith, arms crossed, unconscious but breathing.
On the other was Vernyx, his serpent form slightly coiled, eyes shut, but his tail twitching faintly.
Lucius looked at them both.
"They've been broken, freed, and now…" he raised a hand, "…they will be remade."
Behind them, the doors opened.
Two glowing beasts walked in.
Tall, metallic, and powerful Luperion.
They moved without sound, their bodies glowing faint silver under Luxorite energy. frёewebnoѵēl.com
Lucius turned to Liline.
"Bring them here."
Liline nodded once.
With a soft pulse from her palm, the floor shifted.
Mechanical arms gently guided the two Luperions beside the hybrid bodies.
One stood behind Vernyx.
The other behind Scaldrith.
He raised one hand.
"Now…"
"Let's fuse the two of you."

As the system activated, streams of golden code filled the air.
Lines of data flowing from Lucius's palm into the chamber itself.
The two Luperions glowed brightly and began moving forward.
Their bodies started to dissolve.
Their frames shifted into energy and wrapped themselves around Vernyx and Scaldrith.
Lucius watched calmly.
"Let's see how your rebirth looks."
Liline stood to his side, observing quietly.
"They are stable," she said.
"The hack is overriding their internal cores."
Lucius nodded. "Good."
Inside the fusion light, Vernyx's serpent body merged with the sleek frame of Luperion.
On the other side, Scaldrith's lizard-like body fused with the second Luperion.
Lucius crossed his arms as the golden light grew stronger.
Liline read the system window aloud.
"War simulation running… One year of virtual combat being streamed into their minds."
Lucius chuckled.
"Let them fight. Let them evolve before they even open their eyes."
He watched as sparks surged between the pods.
The Luperion code shimmered, fusing perfectly into the hybrids' bodies.
The air crackled.
And then—
BOOM.
Both pods hissed open.
Steam flowed out.
Lucius stepped forward.
Two tall figures stood there, shoulders rising and falling—silent but alive.
"Welcome back," Lucius said softly.
"Let's just call you… the new Luperions."
"They'll fear what you become."
Liline tilted her head. "Shall I prepare their testing arena?"
Lucius smiled darkly.
"Yes."
"Let's see what my war children can do."
---
The arena was quiet.
Cold metal walls surrounded the circular platform, glowing softly with light from the Luxoria core.
Only two stood at the center.
Two tall, armored humanoids—motionless like statues.
One on the left, sleek and thin.
One on the right, broad and heavy.
Their silver-black Luxorite armor shimmered with faint energy.
Lucius Luxoria stood just outside the testing field, arms behind his back.
Beside him, Liline hovered slightly above the ground, her hands folded calmly.
Lucius took a single step forward.
"These two," he said softly, "were born from mistakes."
"But now… they are mine."
He raised his voice slightly.
"L-Snake. L-Drake."
The two metal beings stirred at once, heads tilting toward Lucius's voice.
Lucius continued, his tone clear.
"You've been reborn as my new fighters."
"You will not serve Aurelius anymore."
"You will fight for Luxoria."
He smirked.
"Now show me your true forms."
"Show me your power."
At once—Both figures moved.
With a deep mechanical sound, their bodies began to shift.
Their standard armored human shapes dissolved and changed.
The one on the left—sleek and quick—split at the spine and twisted.
Its head elongated, armor plates shifted back, and a long coiled tail snapped into place behind it.
Its arms extended into curved bladed limbs. Fangs peeked from its mouth.
The being hissed, low and sharp.
Lucius nodded.
"L-Snake. Formerly Vernyx."
"You've returned to your most comfortable form."
Next, the heavier one on the right hunched low.
Its back grew with thick metal ridges.
Its arms bulged, claws forming over the fingers.
A long tail slammed onto the ground, sparking with energy.
Its face hardened, jaw opening with heavy breath.
A metal-scaled lizardman, with a soldier's stance.
Lucius smiled again.
"L-Drake. Formerly Scaldrith."
"You've chosen strength and command."
Liline floated slightly forward.
"They are stable," she said calmly. "No energy spikes. No rejection."
Lucius looked between them.
"Good."
"Now…"
"Fight."
"Show me what your fusion—your rebirth—is worth."
Both Luperions turned toward each other.
L-Snake hissed again and dropped low, its tail coiling beneath its feet.
L-Drake grunted and took a heavy step forward, claws glowing faintly with internal power.
Lucius stepped back with a soft laugh.
"This will be fun."
"Let the fight begin."
---
Deep in the lower training chamber, the floor lights hummed softly.
L-Drake stood tall, arms crossed, armor gleaming like thick dragon scales.
Across from him, L-Snake sat coiled, half-shifted into his serpentine form, eyes faintly glowing.
L-Drake tilted his head.
"Vernyx... no, I mean, L-Snake. Seems we meet again."
L-Snake looked up slowly and gave a small nod.
"Yeah. You too, Scaldrith—L-Drake."
They both stood in silence for a moment.
The past between them wasn't forgotten.
But it felt far away now.
"To think," L-Drake muttered, "we were once under Aurelius."
L-Snake's coils shifted slightly. "And now we serve Luxoria."
L-Drake chuckled quietly.
"Yeah… kinda funny when you think about it."
He looked down at his armored hands.
"But it's better. My head's clear now. No noise. No control."
L-Snake gave a short nod.
"Same. No more forced orders. Just purpose."
"Real purpose."
They then locked eyes.
L-Snake uncoiled slowly. "Let's test it."
L-Drake cracked his knuckles. "Test our new power?"
L-Snake gave a short smirk. "Of course."
L-Drake nodded once, his body shifting, growing broader.
"No holding back, then."
L-Snake's tail uncoiled fully as blades extended from his arms.
The room dimmed.
And the two divine weapons took their first step toward each other.
