Awakening The Only SSS-Rank Class! Now Even Dragons Obey Me-Chapter 105: Clearing A Blue-Rank Dungeon
After the Fallens had left, taking the academy students with them, Daniel used his spiritual senses to take another look at the other side of the fire.
It was clear that the lizardmen didn't have any mages among them. Otherwise, they could've easily extinguished the flames. On top of that, none of the B-rank lizardmen took flight to come after him.
That meant they couldn't fly either. Both of these facts made Daniel let out a sigh of relief. He had been seriously worried that these corrupted beasts might have flight capabilities and ruin his entire plan.
Daniel flew up above the fire. The distance between the ground and the ceiling of the cavern was large enough to allow for smooth flying.
"You cowardly human! Come down and fight us if you dare!"
"You're a pathetic coward! If you've got any guts, get down here!"
"O human! I, Zargorth the Great, swear I will roast you with my own hands!" Zargorth roared when he saw Daniel, but unfortunately, there was nothing he could do to reach him.
Daniel just laughed and used his spiritual power to pull Tianna's body toward him, just like a telekinesis skill.
"See ya, ugly bastards." After flipping the lizardmen off with his middle finger, he flew out of the cave and gained altitude, distancing himself from the mountain as much as he could.
Tiana was in his arms. He looked down and checked her to make sure she was okay.
After confirming she was fine, he scanned the mountain with his spiritual senses again. The lizardmen had exited the cave and were now searching for him.
Daniel summoned dozens of fireballs using the Rag'zar Ring and dropped them down. The flames descended slowly, and the moment they entered the lower air layer and came into contact with the methane and hydrogen sulfide gases, they exploded.
Boom! Boom!
The swamps started blowing up one after another, and it didn't take long before the entire mountain was engulfed in explosions. The shockwave even reached all the way up to Daniel and made his body tremble.
He kept watching the explosions unfold through his spiritual sense. Soon, the fire was everywhere, and the lizardmen began burning alive.
He could hear their cries of pain and agony even from up here.
He waited a few more minutes to make sure the explosion had covered the entire mountain and all the lizardmen had burned. In the meantime, he ordered the Fallen to come to him.
It didn't take long for the Fallen to arrive. Daniel handed Tiana over to Pride and asked him to hold her.
"I'm heading down. Azrak, you're coming with me." Daniel gave the order and handed the human Azrak was carrying to one of the Golden Knights before heading down with Azrak slowly.
The closer they got to the mountain, the heavier the air became, and breathing got harder. At some point, the smoke and gases became so intense that Daniel had to use the mana healing skill from the Transcendent Scripture just to breathe.
"It's all completely destroyed." He landed on the mountain and looked around. Nothing was left.
But that wasn't really surprising. The amount of methane and hydrogen sulfide in the mountain's air was so high that this kind of explosion was entirely expected.
It was one of the reasons Zargort had made his lair in the highest part of the mountain—to prevent fires he lit from spreading and triggering an explosion in other areas.
Daniel then summoned Vorak as well.
"Search for Zargort." He gave the order to both of his Fallen, and they each headed off in different directions.
The explosion had been powerful, but not strong enough to completely kill a B-rank corrupted beast. At best, it would destroy their physical body, but their core would still be intact.
It didn't take long before Vorak found Zargort. Daniel used Fallen Vision to locate him and headed there.
"Well, well, Zargorth the Great, look at you now, dying like a pathetic worm." Seeing the scene before him, it took everything in him not to laugh.
Clearly, Zargorth's body had been totally destroyed and was now slowly regenerating. Right now, there was literally a baby Zargort in front of him, and it was hilarious.
Daniel didn't waste any time. He destroyed Zargort's corruption core and then dropped a single drop of his blood onto the body.
Honestly, he wasn't expecting to successfully turn Zargorth into a Fallen. After all, he was just a D-rank, and Zargort was B-rank.
The power gap between them was too wide.
But to his complete surprise…
[Creating a new Fallen...]
[Player's spiritual power is overcoming the power gap...]
[Process successful.]
[Congratulations! You have successfully obtained a new Fallen.]
[Please choose a name.]
Suddenly, a light descended from both the sky and the earth, enveloping Zargort's body.
After a few seconds, the light vanished, revealing his transformed body. His skin had turned a dark violet-black and glowed with a galactic shimmer.
His eyes had changed from black to gold, and his body was fully regenerated.
Daniel decided to keep the name Zargort. No need to change such a good name.
[Name Zargorth has been chosen for the new Fallen.]
"All hail the Lord." Zargort dropped to one knee and bowed with respect.
"Got myself another giant like Azrak, huh?" Daniel looked at Azrak beside him, then at Zargorth. Now he had two Fallen over three meters tall.
And more importantly—he had a B-rank Fallen! He no longer had to worry about how to fight B-rank Awakened anymore.
This dungeon had brought him an enormous gain, something he honestly hadn't expected.
[You've acquired ten percent of your new Fallen's stats.]
[You can copy either one skill or ten percent of his EXP.]
Daniel suddenly felt a massive power surge through his veins and body, an incredibly tempting and addictive sensation.
He could feel even his physical power pushing hard to break through the barrier between C-rank and B-rank, but unfortunately, it failed.
"EXP or a skill, huh?"
