Chapter 36: Chapter 33: Let Go_1

At ten o’clock in the evening, Zhang Yuan, rosy-cheeked and a bit awkward in her gait, served a bowl of noodles topped with strips of meat and egg to Li Ming, who was stretching his leg. Seeing that dinner was ready, Li Ming took his leg off the windowsill, washed his hands, and began to eat.

Zhang Yuan served another bowl of noodles. They sat together, each with a bowl in front of them, and started eating.

Zhang Yuan rested her leg on Li Ming’s lap, admiring how his body looked so normal after dressing up, filled with admiration.

She profoundly experienced the tremendous strength Li Ming gained after becoming stronger.

“Will we continue punch training tomorrow?”

Zhang Yuan spooned a yolk from the bowl into Li Ming’s mouth and quietly asked.

“No more punches. Tomorrow, we practice something else.”

Li Ming took the yolk, chewed a few times and swallowed it, then took a large bite of noodles and quietly responded.

“What are you training, do you need my help?”

Zhang Yuan asked, laughing. It was just a playful remark since she couldn’t imagine there’s anything she could help with given his extensive exercise routine.

Surprisingly, Li Ming nodded. “Yes, if you’re free tomorrow, you could help me with my exercise.”

“Ah, really? How can I help?”

Zhang Yuan asked, a hint of confusion in her voice.

“I’m going to stretch my legs. You can help push my back.”

Li Ming replied with a smile, secretly hoping that this could be a new skill to acquire.

“Huh, push your back?”

Zhang Yuan was a little puzzled, but she didn’t say much. Seeing Li Ming’s sincere request, she kept it in mind. How to do it, she would find out tomorrow.

Li Ming finished several more bowls of noodles before Zhang Yuan went to tidy up the bowls. She was tired and ready for bed. At that moment, footsteps arrived outside their door. Chen Li walked over from her home. Zhang Yuan kissed Li Ming a couple of times and cheerfully waved to him before returning to her room to sleep.

The deep experience with Li Ming’s strength made her completely exhausted. She was looking forward to resting.

“I didn’t finish grinding all the drill bits, but most of them are done. I brought over all the bits that I’ve sharpened.”

Today, Chen Li swapped her usual outfit for a simple light brown dress, but it couldn’t hide her impressive figure. She held a box of drill bits in her hand and grinned at Li Ming.

Sharpening drill bits is harder than sharpening knives, and grinding them into a sharp point is quite challenging. Therefore, the progress for the day wasn’t much.

The points that came with the originals wouldn’t do. They were designed for mechanical force and couldn’t be effectively utilized by telekinetic power.

“Don’t worry too much, let me take a look at your hand.”

Li Ming knew that grinding these things was not easy, and he was worried that Chen Li was grinding her hands raw. He placed the drill bits in his bedroom and carefully examined her hand.

Ah, long and soft.

Not injured.

“I wore gloves, it’s nothing. Just that my mom found it uncomfortable to grind empty-handed, can she have an extra pair of gloves?”

Chen Li slightly pursed her lips, looked up at the man before her, and asked.

“Of course, you can give her a pair tomorrow morning. You guys have been working hard.”

Li Ming nodded casually and then gratefully embraced Chen Li.

After the apocalypse, the moon strangely became very bright. The zombies seemed to become more excited in the night, making endless howls.

Peng Zhi was engrossed in his game when he suddenly heard the zombie screams, causing him to twitch.

He sighed internally, lied down on his bed and continued playing. However, the zombies’ screams were too unsettling. It wasn’t until tens of minutes later that they finally stopped. Peng Zhi exhaled relievedly, and continued to play his game grumpily.

The terrifying night passed in a blink of an eye.

As usual, Peng Zhi stayed up until dawn, and then went to sleep.

“Phew, it’s been fourteen days.”

Zhang Yuan got out of bed, stretched her right leg straight and slightly pulled up her left leg, stretching her body. She found her body more captivating in her fresh outfit. She counted the days and muttered to herself.

Along with the passage of time came her total despair for rescue.

And the man next to her who was still sound asleep.

Zhang Yuan snorted lightly and went to the bathroom for a wash.

After she finished cleaning, Zhang Yuan walked into the closet, her eyes landing on a white ultra-short dress. Moved by a sudden desire, she reached out and took it.

As the sun rose, Li Ming also woke up punctually. His telekinesis, which was depleted last night, had fully recovered this morning and had even grown stronger.

With a thought, the long sword next to the bed floated up and started moving at a decent pace in the living room.

It wasn’t until ten minutes later, when Li Ming’s telekinetic power was exhausted, that he controlled the sword to fly back into its sheath.

A smile played on his lips. From trembling when controlling the floating long sword to now being able to steadfastly control it, his telekinetic strength had made considerable progress.

Glancing at the date on his cell phone, Li Ming squinted, “It’s been fourteen days already.”

He sighed, got up to use the toilet. When he came out of the bathroom, his gaze fell on Chen Li who was still lying on the bed.

After a passionate night, Chen Li was still asleep.

He licked his lips when he heard a familiar footstep approaching—the door was knocked on.

Li Ming raised an eyebrow and opened the door. Just as he expected, it was Zhang Yuan.

“Why did you come…so early today?”

Li Ming looked at Zhang Yuan somewhat confusedly, but the next moment his attention was on Zhang Yuan who was standing in front of him wearing a white silk dress, leaving him feeling dry-mouthed.

Zhang Yuan pursed her lips and subtly tilted her head back, showing even more of her slender neck. Her eyes could not help peering at Li Ming, her earlobes blushing hot.

“……”

Waking up and drinking water first thing in the morning is beneficial for physical and mental health.

By 8 o’clock in the morning, Chen Li had woken up and went home early. Seeing that Zhang Yuan insisted on cooking breakfast even after what happened, Li Ming didn’t interfere and went to the living room to stretch out.

The first thing that came to his mind was Ba Duan Jin (Eight Section Brocade). He had learnt the calisthenics type of Ba Duan Jin which was slow, but quite effective in stretching his body, and decided to warm up with it.

While doing Ba Duan Jin and watching Zhang Yuan bustling about in her white dress to prepare breakfast, Li Ming felt extremely peaceful.

After completing one set of Ba Duan Jin, he felt a sense of tranquility throughout his body.
