Chapter 30: Chapter 29 Tired_1
Compared to telekinesis, physical exercise is exhausting, and it would only be beneficial if one could reach an extremely high level.
Telekinesis, on the other hand, continues to grow as long as you recover after using it, and you don’t have to move a muscle.
It seems that telekinesis is more cost-effective than physical exercise, but Li Ming would not give up his physical training just because he had this ability.
The shortcoming of having strong telekinesis but a weak body was illustrated by the zombie that he had effortlessly killed with a car. If Li Ming did not have telekinesis, he would never have been hit by a car, let alone with telekinesis.
Mind and body are both the foundation of a person, and Li Ming would never neglect either one.
He would grasp with both hands, both hands hard.
The purpose of telekinesis is to enhance survival and fighting abilities, and having this ability would make Li Ming stronger, instead of only relying on it to get stronger.
It would only be the true takeoff of his power when he could break a concrete wall with one punch, and his telekinesis could lift several tons of weight.
Li Ming has a clear understanding of this; that physical and supernatural abilities should complement each other is the right path.
“However, before supernatural abilities come into being, I still have to rely on my body strength.”
With a sigh in his heart, Li Ming lay on the bed in his bedroom, quietly waiting for Zhang Yuan to prepare the meals.
………
Peng Zhi woke up from bed, feeling sleepy while the sun was shining on his body through the window.
He touched his stomach, confirming that he was awakened by hunger.
Feeling that the bed next to him was empty, he thought to himself, ‘She’s probably out there working.’
‘Ah, it’s tough to get something to eat.’
As two thoughts flashed through Peng Zhi’s mind, he glanced at his phone and saw it was already half-past eleven.
“I should have known better than to stay up all night.”
Peng Zhi muttered, then turned his attention to his half-charged portable charger, looking at it with satisfaction while remembering the conversation from last night, asking Li Ming to save him a meal.
“I wonder if it would work.”
Peng Zhi had another thought, showing worry, but he reassured himself with the thought that it should be fine.
“Li Ming has been eating later and later these days, I don’t know when I’ll be able to eat.”

Looking at the time, Peng Zhi thought to himself, then reluctantly opened a game on his phone, immersing himself in the exciting experience to forget his hunger.
By the time it was half-past twelve, Peng Zhi heard a sound from the door. Startled, he quickly detected that his wife was bringing him food. He quickly put down his phone, looked towards the door, and his heart leaped for joy.
There’s food!
Peng Zhi was very happy.
“Thanks for your hard work, honey. Finally, Li Ming is willing to give me food. Did you get tired? Sit down and rest.”
Seeing his wife’s flushed cheeks and the hint of sweat on her nose, Peng Zhi was very pleased, “Honey, is cooking that tiring?”
Zhang Yuan was startled and quickly wiped her face with a towel.
“I’m fine.”
After wiping her face, Zhang Yuan stood up and left the room, “Eat slowly. Leave the dishes there after you’re done. I’ll pick them up in the evening. I still have work to do outside.”
“What can Li Ming be so busy with in the apocalypse that he can’t even go out?”
Although Peng Zhi played with his phone every day, he still felt a bit lonely with his wife always outside, and couldn’t help complaining.
“No work, no food.”
Zhang Yuan replied indifferently. Peng Zhi frowned, cursing Li Ming under his breath, then quickly asked Zhang Yuan, “Wait, didn’t Li Ming bring back a generator? Can you help me charge my portable charger?”
After saying that, Peng Zhi rushed to the bedside table to get his portable charger for his wife, then asked with a smile, “By the way, did Li Ming say how many meals he would give me a day?”
“Only one meal. I can’t guarantee if he would be willing to let you charge.”
Zhang Yuan took the portable charger from Peng Zhi and replied indifferently.
“Ah, waiting for rescue is really tough. If I didn’t have my phone, I wouldn’t know how to survive. Honey, can you please ask him for a little more?”
Peng Zhi let out a sigh, then pleaded with a bitter face.
Wait for rescue?
Hehe…
“Okay, I’ll ask him for you.”
Zhang Yuan agreed casually, turned around, and walked out.
“Honey, thanks for your hard work!”
Peng Zhi quickly called out. He felt there was some coldness from his wife, but he dismissed the thought since she must be tired from working. He happily watched his wife leave with a smile on his face, then took a bite of the cold leftovers, closed his eyes, and savored it with satisfaction.
“This is life; having food without doing any work, why bother?”
Peng Zhi thought to himself, then smirked, ate while playing his game on the phone, and had a lot of fun.
………
Zhang Yuan closed the door casually, took the portable charger, and went to Li Ming’s room. She found he was lying in bed, still not asleep, and chuckled.”;
After asking a couple of questions and getting positive answers from Li Ming, she plugged the portable charger in, then cuddled up to the man and asked: “Can’t sleep without me, huh?”
Feeling the man’s hands on her, Zhang Yuan stuck out her tongue jokingly and asked.
“It’s always comfier to sleep with somebody. Why didn’t you wait until your husband finished his meal and brought his dishes back before you came?”
Li Ming asked, laughing as he looked at the woman in front of him.
“I can still wash them tomorrow. I wanted to be with you sooner since you only sleep such a short time every afternoon. Of course, I had to come early.”
Zhang Yuan replied with a grin, adjusting herself into a comfortable position in his arms, then started dozing off.
Zhang Yuan closed her eyes, lay down in Li Ming’s arms, felt his strong body, and fell asleep.
…….
In the afternoon, Peng Zhi finished his meal. Half a doze later, his wife didn’t come to collect the dishes. He wiped his mouth carelessly, thinking that his wife must be busy, so he ignored it and continued to play games on his bed.
While playing, he was eager to fully charge his portable charger and worried that once his phone ran out of power, it would be over. In such torment, a sense of thrill rose in his heart.
So Peng Zhi became even more engaged in the game. He played until it got dark, till ten at night, when his wife returned under the increasingly bright moonlight.
Yawning, Zhang Yuan handed over the fully charged portable charger to her husband, lay on the bed, and fell asleep instantly.
