America Tycoon: The Wolf of Showbiz-Chapter 867 - 838: Going Crazy for Money_3
Martin had no intention of lingering near Brunel and quickly left the party.
The next morning, he caught a flight back to Los Angeles.
Upon returning to the Davis Estate, with Lily and Elizabeth out on business, Thomas sought him out immediately.
He handed a stack of documents to Bruce, "Here's the information on Michel Brian, what's commonly available in the market, plus some related rumors. This woman is no simple character."
Martin picked up a bottle of wine and settled on the sofa, "Let's hear it."
Thomas went into detail, "Michel Brian was born in 1983, and it's still unclear from which state she originated. She once worked as an actress in Hollywood, reputedly very adept at socializing. After Hollywood's former leading madam, Heidi Frees, was arrested by the FBI, Los Angeles's market briefly faced a void, until Michel Brian stepped in and the industry found its new leader."
He elaborated further, "At the height of Heidi Frees's career, she was no match for Michel. Michel controlled the high-end market in Los Angeles and even California through her global travel company, even providing 'landing services' for the wealthy and famous all over the United States. As early as 2005, her annual net profits reached 8.5 million US Dollars."
Martin couldn't help but comment, "Back in 2005, I was only making six figures a year."
"This industry is all about fast money," continued Thomas. "Rumor has it, two of Tiger Woods' mistresses were originally high-end escorts provided by Michel. He was so satisfied after using their services that he bought their exclusive rights."
He went on to say, "Many in the circle have bought services from the global travel company, unrelated to Michel themselves, just purely in need of the service, myself included."
Curious, Bruce asked, "You're short of women?"
Thomas answered seriously, "Purchasing a day or a night of love is simple, convenient, and hassle-free."
Martin asked another question, "Wasn't Michel caught in an FBI sting? How did she get out so quickly, and with only a symbolic punishment?"
"I asked Mr. Nevis," said Thomas, referring to Martin's old FBI contact. "He said that someone influential helped Michel maneuver, though it's unclear who exactly..."
Martin raised his hand to interrupt, "It doesn't matter who it was."
He had a rough idea of who it could be.
Thomas added, "After her last arrest, Michel only paid a fine of 35,000 US Dollars. After the ban was lifted, she became bolder. She runs two major businesses, one providing services, the other supplying drugs."
He stressed, "Since that case, five people are still missing to this day."
Martin nodded slowly, knowing that "missing" essentially equated to dead.
"This woman is much smarter than Heidi Frees. Worried about her illegal income being exposed, Heidi didn't pay taxes, with predictable results," Thomas chuckled. "Michel Brian has always fully paid her taxes on time and in full."
"That's the smart way to do it," Bruce commented.
Martin asked directly, "How risky would it be if I wanted to take her down?"
Thomas, though not entirely surprised, was slightly taken aback, and said, "There are too many people and things involved. If she drags her client list out, the consequences could be unimaginable, not to mention the person backing her."

"It's not convenient to talk about some things over the phone." Martin roughly described what Nicky had told him. "If I hadn't been careful, I might be a junkie by now..."
Thomas now understood why Martin was investigating Michel Brian, "These people have all gone crazy for money!"
Bruce remarked, "I remember someone saying that for a hundred percent profit, people dare trample all laws of the world, and would not hesitate to commit murder and arson. If Martin really fell into her trap, it would cost him ten million a year, right?"
"It's best not to attack from the front and not let anyone notice it's us targeting her," Thomas advised.
Martin started laughing, "I just want to make her pay for it."
Michel Brian herself wasn't much of an issue; if Martin wanted, he could have her in the LAPD by tonight, but that would open a Pandora's box of trouble.
Would such a madam not have some secrets of her clients?
And just who could those clients be? Martin was aware of a few, including Tiger Woods, Morgan Freeman, and Johnny Depp, among others.
And that was just within the entertainment industry. What about the business and political arenas?
Moreover, Martin highly suspected that Michel Brian was connected to that island.
Especially considering things like being shot in the back and suicides, he had to be extremely cautious.
Martin inquired, "Any news on Malena Morgan or Mia Malkova?"
"Nothing," Thomas shook his head. "We haven't found them."
Martin waved off, "Stop looking if we can't find them."
Given Nicky's situation, it was likely true, and he did not plan on approaching Morgan Freeman now.
Martin questioned, "Has that man named Lynch not been found?"
Thomas replied, "Our people have come up empty."
Martin looked at Bruce, then at Thomas, "Find reliable personnel and keep a close watch on Michel Brian and a few of her strongholds, but be discreet... Hmm, try making anonymous tips to the LAPD, FBI, and DEA to test the waters."
Thomas said, "I doubt it'll do much."
Martin nodded, "Let's try it and see."
He never believed that a simple anonymous tip could take down one of America's most notorious madams.
Bruce spoke up, "Leave the tip-offs to me."
Martin thought of something else, "The people trafficked from Ukraine, Michel Brian is likely to use them soon."
The Ukrainian Security Bureau had already transported a batch when they made the arrests in Osad.
"I'll try to find out if there's any news on that," Bruce offered.
Thomas reminded him again, "Be very careful."
