The door shut closed as Ryuk moved back to the table in the room and gently placed the bag in his hands onto it.

There were zips on either side, and he pulled on them, soon revealing the contents of the bag.

They were clothes.

About a dozen of them in total—seven shirts: four were white and long-sleeved, two were black round-neck with short sleeves that would most likely reach halfway to his biceps, and one was blue in colour, with a collar around it, most likely reaching up to half his thigh length.

It was more of a coat than a shirt.

Then there were five trousers. One black short, two long-legged white in color, one long-legged blue that seemingly matched the first coat, and another green one.

"Cool," Ryuk muttered as he pushed away the clothes and found some other miscellaneous objects that would bear little to no use to him.

Handkerchiefs, some neck wraps, and things like that—but what took his attention the most was the blue chain he saw at the end of the pile.

Pulling it up, Ryuk was surprised to see a small object dangling at its end.

It was a circular object, covered in runes, and when he looked at the center, it opened up, revealing a small falling sand imprint within, along with some runic letters and two moving sticks within.

"And what is this?" Ryuk mused to himself with furrowed eyebrows, but watched as the notification flashed.

[Scan Complete!]

[A Special Time Calculation Object Discovered: A Runic Sand Time.]

[Accurately records time and measures it.]

The system said, and Ryuk hummed.

"A watch, huh?" he thought before placing it on the table.

Trying to rise to his feet, his face changed halfway as he instantly collapsed to the ground with a loud thump.

"Tch, I really need to get used to this soon..." Ryuk muttered to himself, before he helplessly pulled on the staff next to him and rose with its aid.

Grabbing the bag, he went into the bedroom, laying it on the comfy bed, before he brought out all the clothes and moved to the glass wardrobe at the side.

A few minutes of getting rid of the previous robes and clothes, and the wardrobe was filled with the new clothes he had.

But then, his eyes furrowed as he watched a silver tint enter into his eyes from an object in the wardrobe, and his hands reached out—only to feel something smooth.

he turned to the other side of the wardrobe and walked around it. Coming to stand before it was a figure that made him pause on his feet.

It was looking exactly at him—and when he tried to take a step back, he watched as the figure also took a step back.

"Wait, that's a reflection!?But... A reflection of who?" Ryuk asked in shock, and the answer soon flashed before him.

[A Reflection of a boy named Ryuk Knull.]

The system notification flashed as Ryuk's mouth opened to a wide 'O' that would have no problem fitting an egg.

"This... this is unbelievable..." he said out loud as he looked at the image before him.

But the reflection before him... it was unlike him at all.

It was very tall—too tall—standing at a height of about 2.3 meters. Monolithic, and definitely inhuman.

And neither was it a boy.

It was a young man seemingly in his early twenties, with wide shoulders and a lean, athletic frame.

His face was sharp and symmetrical. Jaw tight. Cheekbones high. Nose straight.

His skin had a cool, faint blue tone, almost like polished marble with a glassy sheen.

Not fake—just clean.

Artificially clean.

His hair was ocean blue, messy on his head, with some parts falling over his forehead and some strands reaching to the back of his neck.

His eyes were the most striking—and what shook Ryuk's heart.

A clear white sclera, perhaps too clear, but it only made those irises even more visible. They were blue-colored around the pitch-black pupil, and around the space between them were splashes of dark mixed with blue that captivated on sight. It was like looking into the galaxy.

The blue glow gave the gaze a surprisingly soft yet piercing look, yet when Ryuk stared into them, it was an eye that made his heart pound faster—as if something was staring right at him.

Something alert, focused, and alien—without looking monstrous—but it was a gaze that was just too steady to belong to a human.

The face was beyond handsome.

Even the silverunic who had no uglies amongst them would pale to it, and it was the most handsome Ryuk had truly seen on a young man in his early twenties.

He had never come across such, but it wasn't to the point of femininity either.

It was just gentlemanly, yet the aura of it awoke a refined mystery.

From the edge of his neck, things began to get tricky, and revealed the truth—he was an anomaly.

For one, the neck looked like it had layers—thin plates woven tight, glowing blue faintly with every breath—and the parts were concealed under the gray patient-wear he was wearing.

Reaching for it, Ryuk pulled off the shirt for him, revealing a perfectly chiseled torso, with clear lines and segments all covered in those same blue gem lines.

But then, Ryuk's eyes faltered as he unconsciously pushed down the trouser, and then...

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!"

"It's gone! It's gone!" Ryuk screamed out in horror as he looked at his legs and found out he only had two.

One of the legs was missing—and it just happened to be the most important one.

[Oh chill out, Ryuk! It was never there to begin with!]

The system flashed, but Ryuk wasn't having it.

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN IT WASN'T THERE!?"

"It was there! It had always been there!" he roared back, but after staring at it and the glass, and scremaing nonstop for 5 minutes, he could only sigh helplessly in the end.

"It's gone. Really gone. What made me a Man is now gone."

The place where his big daddy ought to be was as smooth as glass, covered in those same blue plates.

[Well, the previous ones weren't working anyway.]

"Shut your fuck up, system!"
