Up from ninety-two marks yesterday. That’s a twenty-seven mark increase compared to the thirty-two marks I gained the previous day. Even with all the easy marks I got from Hometown, it feels like my progress has slowed. Well, most of those marks were from Second Tier monsters, but I did get some good Third Tier advancement today. The other critical thing to note is that the additional day has allowed me to optimize my mark selections using Golden Hour shenanigans, which is the main source of my power gains in preparation for the war this morning.

I feel like I must be on the level of a very high-Rank Third Tier monster as my different abilities start to synergize. This will be my first time going toe-to-toe with Third Tier monster leaders at full power, though, so it’s still a ‘question mark’ of how high the ceiling gets at this Tier. It’s not like I have to risk a 1v1 scenario, nor do I intend to. I’d rather have an overwhelming victory where nobody gets hurt, if possible.

I’m mostly over my system treating my Slime lovers as pets. It’s all just bullshit labels. It is kind of nice to see my evolving relationships quantified and described, as it gives me a peek into their mental states. Brenda and I remain close, while learning of Olindia’s past and impregnating Flou has developed our relationships. My Swarm Slime lover definitely seems to be doing better now that she feels more ‘womanly,’ not that I’m saying pregnancy solves all problems or anything.

Allows the user to choose the Species of their Offspring (any option they would potentially have at their disposal) regardless of what penis and/or penis modifiers they have equipped.

Spawn Attribute Customization (3)

Allows the user to further modify the Attributes of their Offspring, including height, body type, coloration, growth rate, muscle mass, and various types of intelligence to a wider scope. These changes are not passed on to further generations. Unlocks subtrees with more extreme Offspring modifications.

Partner Teleportation Token I

Allows the user’s Branded Partners to teleport to a previously mapped location.

Partner Telepathy Token I

Allows the user to communicate telepathically with their Branded Partners.

Allows the user to label and retain any sperm they’ve received via their mouth, anus, or vagina for up to a month. This stored sperm can be deployed into the user’s womb or replace their own seed at will. Unlocks Sperm Vault, Sperm Duplicator, and the Sperm Manipulation subtree.

Fraternal Twins

Allows the user to sustain an additional fetus in their womb at no additional upkeep cost. Unlocks triplet options.

Capture Tail (3)

Grants the user a tail terminating in an expandable ‘mouth’ that allows the user to swallow targets. Once swallowed, targets can be digested for their monster energy, contributing to the accumulation necessary to create a God Brand. Swallowed targets can instead be subjected to various wavelengths of energy before subsequent release. Unlocks Subjugation, Monsterification, Corruption, and Purification submenus.

Investiture I (2)

Allows the user to select one of their Offspring to receive a lesser version of the user’s Mark System. The Offspring cannot pass theirs along.

Custom Minion (3)

Allows the user to spawn Minion versions of the sperm-donor’s monster type with subhuman intelligence at half the user’s normal gestation time. Spawned Minions benefit from all the user’s Maternal Breeder abilities, but don’t generate any Breeder Marks upon creation. Unlocks the Minion Specialization and Minion Gestation subtrees.

Holy cannoli, the Breeder Mark tree is somehow more insane than I thought, and most of my options seem to be getting morally dubious. Alright, I’ll go through the highlights before I make my decisions. I don’t bother delving deep into anything where I feel like the Tooltip doesn’t reveal anything that isn’t self-explanatory or worth writing home about.

Some of these options seem like utility abilities for sex, like Paternal Customization, Sperm Bank, or Seed Selection. Except, I enjoy arranging a surrogate and sperm-donor situation that makes everyone happy, and I enjoy finding new cock modifications from my monster Mark Trees. It seems like these options would take some of the fun out of it… Although Seed Selection at least has the benefit of allowing my partners the option to pick the species of our Offspring.

I think I’m going to stay away from options that further modify my sexual prowess or provide benefits to my Offspring for now. As much as I want to give them the best start in life possible, it’s more important for me to make a safe and secure world for them to come into at this point. Aside from a few sex-utility abilities, I’ll focus on options that will support my Partners.

Minions are just gross. I’m not going to pump out a bunch of brainless monsters as fodder to fight my battles for me.

Investiture is amazing, but I can only give it to my children.

Capture Tail… just, wow. I’d never use it, so I guess making my own God Brand is off the table for now. And if that’s the main ability of the Capture Tail, then I just had a wild thought. Do monsters exist to provide stock for Echidnas to make God Beasts? It’s not that crazy a theory, as the other leading explanation is that Typhon simply did it for the lulz. There could be something else going on, but it fits with what I know so far, not to mention it matches Lilith’s theories.

As for the Capture Tail’s other abilities—it almost seems like it would be possible to cure, er, Purify Spindle. Maybe there’s an issue with that method that made Lilith not think it was viable for the Fourth Echidna to save the demons that way. Or, rather, it could’ve just been that the demons were too numerous or powerful at the time to stop, and sacrificing herself was the only solution.

I’ll need to gather more information.

If everything goes successfully today, I’ll be responsible for ethically feeding a lot of new mouths from now on. It’s not like I can sit there and breastfeed an army all day, but if I can temporarily grant the ability to a select number of monsters, they can. With this, the Fruit Nymphs, and Hometown’s resources, I finally feel comfortable about sustaining a large population.

I’ll admit this is a luxury item chosen for convenience’s sake. But, after all the Breeding I’ve done, I simply can’t accept any longer that I’m limited in choosing my Offspring’s species! I shouldn’t have to do mark manipulation and cock amalgamation to try and make that happen. Now, I can let my partners choose the child’s sex and species.

I glare at the strange emphasis being placed on this ability in the menu. That definitely wasn’t there before. My Tooltip doesn’t give me answers, but I finally realize that’s because it’s not the source of the oddity.

Apparently, I’m getting a premonition letting me know directly in my menu what I need to do. It takes a little teasing out of my tattoo submenus and my gut feelings using my Multitasking Focuses, but this is the conclusion I finally arrive at. I’m not privy to the reasoning, motivation, or what’s at stake.
