Lord of All Gods
Chapter 2522
The ambushing aliens never expected that their meticulously laid trap would be exposed by Ye Liuyun’s golden eyes in an instant.
In the blink of an eye, Ye Liuyun had already seized control of a three-eyed alien. He had no choice but to pause his clone’s refining process, draping himself in an invisibility cloak as they moved together to capture more of the creatures.
He also handed cloaks to Zhu Que and the blue-armored alien, enlisting their help. These aliens were all equipped with artifacts that shielded them from soul attacks, making it impossible for Ye Liuyun and his clone to breach their defenses instantly. If they failed to subdue them immediately, the aliens could either unleash attacks with their third eye or escape using spatial powers, alerting the others.
To lull the aliens into complacency, Ye Liuyun sent the one under his control ahead as a decoy to distract the golden-armored alien.
In the alien hierarchy, the golden-armored ones were considered nobility—untouchable and unquestionable. Even a powerless golden-armored noble commanded absolute obedience from the lower ranks. To them, ordinary aliens were mere servants, while the silver-armored ones were subordinates. They accepted their worship but never regarded them as equals. Even the three-eyed aliens were treated as disposable tools, to be used or discarded at will.
The alien Ye Liuyun dispatched was no exception. It hunched submissively as it approached the golden-armored figure, who shot it a disdainful glance and barked at it to stay back—until it mentioned offering a treasure. Only then did the golden-armored alien permit it to draw near.
Meanwhile, Ye Liuyun and his clone, each accompanied by Zhu Que and the blue-armored alien, crept forward under the cover of invisibility. Since Zhu Que and the blue-armored alien lacked Ye Liuyun’s mastery of spatial powers, he worried they might be detected prematurely.
The moment Ye Liuyun’s puppet alien closed in on the golden-armored target, they struck—launching a synchronized soul attack without warning.
The Vermilion Bird possessed the strongest divine soul power. Together with the blue-armored warrior and the foreigner dispatched by Ye Liuyun, they launched a coordinated assault on the golden-armored alien’s psychic defense artifact.
Ye Liuyun and his doppelgänger initially provided support, waiting for the artifact’s defenses to crack. Once a breach appeared, they could strike directly at its consciousness.
The golden-armored alien was caught completely off guard. In its mind, no ordinary outsider would dare attack it—let alone one that had approached undetected.
Panicked, its third eye shot forth a beam of intertwined black and white light, striking the alien before it.
But its psychic defenses had already been shattered. Ye Liuyun and his doppelgänger swiftly invaded its consciousness, branding it with a slave seal before it could retaliate.
"What’s wrong, Prince Mulai? What happened?" Several nearby aliens rushed over in alarm.
"Scram!" the golden-armored alien roared, sending them fleeing in terror.
To them, a noble killing a commoner was hardly unusual—perhaps the lowly one had offended its superior.
Ye Liuyun and his companions remained frozen, careful not to draw attention.
Once the others were gone, Ye Liuyun finally communicated with his new puppet.
"Tell me how to obtain the third eyes of all these three-eyed aliens," he demanded.
"Just ask for them," the golden-armored alien replied.
Ye Liuyun was skeptical. "Are you certain? What’s your name?"
"Absolutely. I am their prince. My name is Mulai."
"Fine. Get it done. Bring me every third eye you can find," Ye Liuyun ordered.
Now he wanted to see whether those alien creatures would truly submit to having their eyes gouged out without resistance.
But what followed left Ye Liuyun utterly astonished.
Mulai summoned four silver-armored aliens and then called over the three-eyed beings one by one. Without hesitation, he ordered the silver-armored warriors to pluck out their third eyes. And to Ye Liuyun’s disbelief, not a single one of the three-eyed aliens dared to fight back.
From his perspective, they could have easily taken Mulai by surprise—just one strike from their third eyes would have been enough to kill him instantly. Yet, aside from the one under Ye Liuyun’s control, the remaining twenty endured the agony in complete submission.
"...No wonder the alien armies follow orders so blindly. It seems certain things are deeply ingrained in their minds."
Ye Liuyun finally understood why the alien forces were so disciplined in battle.
Next, he instructed Mulai to release the silver-armored aliens from his spatial world one by one, removing their soul-defense artifacts before Ye Liuyun branded them with slave seals.
Then, he ordered Mulai to use his third eye to eliminate all the remaining alien elites.
But Mulai didn’t even bother moving. Still clinging to his old habits, he simply commanded the silver-armored warriors to summon those with strong spatial abilities—unaware that they were now under Ye Liuyun’s control and no longer obeyed him.
"Go on, humor him."
Only after Ye Liuyun gave the order did the silver-armored warriors comply.
Soon, the alien elites were rounded up and brought before them.
Mulai casually accused them of negligence—claiming they had failed in their duties by allowing a traitor to infiltrate their ranks—before sentencing them to death. A sweeping beam of white light flashed, annihilating them all in an instant.
These foreign warriors didn’t even dare to dodge—they stood rigidly as the white light sliced them cleanly in half.
"..." Ye Liuyun had originally planned to save a few for himself to practice on, but Mulei had wiped them all out in one go.
He couldn’t help but remark, "Today, I finally understand the status of the Golden Armor clansmen."
Mulei explained, "These men were my servants to begin with, so they were easy to deal with. But if they were soldiers or someone else’s servants, they wouldn’t have been so obedient!"
"Even if they were your servants, this level of submission is impressive! Why didn’t they even try to resist?" Ye Liuyun asked, genuinely curious.
"Their families are also my servants. If they resisted, their loved ones would be executed," Mulei replied. "Besides, a quick death isn’t the harshest punishment—being skinned alive and devoured is."
"Right..."
Ye Liuyun was at a loss for words. He couldn’t wrap his head around such brutal customs.
Still, Mulei was proving to be a useful ally, and Ye Liuyun had no intention of killing him just yet.
"You lot—keep serving as his assistants," Ye Liuyun ordered the Silver Armor clansmen.
Then, he instructed Mulei to lead the team in shutting down the altar.
Once the altar was deactivated, the avatar immediately returned to refining the core energy of the spatial world, and the Blue Armor warriors were all withdrawn into Ye Liuyun’s dimensional realm.
