Kaidan Game Train: Abide Rule or Die!
Chapter 2370: The Fish That Hunts Humans
"Does this count as one of the perks of the Fish Banquet?" the little girl said.
Everyone naturally thinks of good things, but the weaving machine in front of them is obviously not a Prop that fell on the roadside waiting to be picked up. It is more like an active Prop in the instance, capable of killing. The place where white threads pile up makes it difficult for Players to advance.
"Why not try using a robot?" The little girl took out a robot as tall as half a person. "Throw it in and let it open the door."
Compared to other methods, this is relatively low cost. The internal space where the weaving machine is located is very large, and it’s too far from them. Regular Props can’t accurately correspond to that door.
"Let’s try that first." Zuo Lei withdrew the Defensive Barrier and left the window opening empty.
The little girl quickly dismantled the robot, then threw the parts in one by one, and then the robot assembled itself on the ground.
Fortunately, the white threads indeed had no reaction to the robot. Although the robot was small, it was very nimble, not a crudely made thing. It had wheels under its feet as it moved forward while skillfully avoiding the surrounding threads, quickly arriving in front of that door.
The door didn’t have a handle, so the little girl tried other methods with the robot, including violent destruction, but none succeeded. Furthermore, this attracted a large amount of white threads, seemingly discovering this side’s escaped fish and blocking the last remaining window opening.
Xu Huo and his group were once again trapped in a narrow space.
"Fortunately, the personal panel can be opened." Shi Shuai was already looking for a way out, holding a ticket here. "Why don’t we leave first and come back later?"
Obviously, everyone else didn’t want to give up. The Fish Banquet’s door isn’t easy to find, and it doesn’t stay in place after appearing. It’s difficult to get in, and getting in again would need using a Fish Banquet ticket which isn’t easy to buy, right?
Shi Shuai thought about it and dismissed the idea for now. He walked along the wall and the blocking barrier, gradually becoming impatient. He wiped the greasy shine on his face and shouted loudly in the direction of the threads, "Is anyone there? Help! Help!"
Everyone looked at him in disbelief, whether surprised by his naivety or surprised by his desperate and low-grade approach, they were all momentarily speechless.
However, before anyone could stop him, the little girl also shouted in another direction. Not only did she shout, but she also used a Prop to amplify her voice.
The sound echoed repeatedly in the limited space and pierced their ears like a demonic sound. Tang Xian couldn’t stand it anymore and shouted, "What are you doing? Do you have a problem with your brain? Everyone here is a Player, who would save someone?"
But things were just so coincidental. As soon as he finished speaking, there was a dull "dong" sound from inside the window hole, followed by the surrounding white threads suddenly loosening and retreating along the corridor like a tide.
"Hey! Calling for help actually worked!" Shi Shuai triumphantly raised his chin towards him and then crowded the window hole to look inside, "There’s someone inside!"
Everyone else noticed too. Indeed, someone had entered the space where the weaving machine was, and the sound just now was made by them. They seemed to be attempting to destroy the weaving machine. They may not have succeeded, but some threads on the machine had broken, which caused all the threads extending into the room and corridor to lose vitality and mostly fall to the ground.
This gave Xu Huo and his group a clear view.
It was a Player wearing a Giant Eye Fish mask, already standing in front of the door that the robot couldn’t open. But it opened itself at his touch.
A recorder fell to the ground, capturing the things inside from an oblique angle.
This was not a passage, but a small cabinet, inside which were two items like Lucky Bags, each only palm-sized. One hand was written "This is an egg surprise," and the other "This is also an egg surprise."
"Egg surprises can be played like this," the little girl seemed to have been opened to new horizons, shouting at the person inside, "Open it and show us what the egg surprise is, don’t worry, we won’t steal it from you!"
Their eyes weren’t even placed on them; they snorted at her words and cautiously took the first one.
As soon as the small cloth bag was held, it automatically opened, and a small object shot out rapidly, collided with the wall, and then folded back to attack the Player standing in front of the door!
In shock, the Player used a Prop to block it, only discovering after deflecting it that it was a fish about half a palm size.
Specifically, it was a Prop with a fish shape, swimming in the air, precisely opening a mouth full of sharp teeth towards the Player and hitting him again and again.
"This shouldn’t be an egg surprise, it’s a trap," Zuo Lei said, "Is the other cloth bag an egg surprise?"
No one knew, but the Player managed to dodge numerous times and was still targeted by the Prop Fish. Coming near Xu Huo and the others, he instinctively threw the cloth bag out of the window hole!
"Egg surprise for you!"
Shi Shuai, closest to the window hole, caught it reflexively, and then saw the fish inside directly change direction and come towards him!
"Don’t come, don’t come! I’ll give it to you!" He immediately threw the cloth bag towards Xu Huo.
Xu Huo dodged, the cloth bag landing on the ground, but the pursuit of the Prop Fish did not stop, still targeting Shi Shuai even though the bag was no longer with him.
"Looks like whoever touches the bag last, whether they’re holding it or not, is the target," Ai Jiangping said, stepping back two steps.
Upon hearing this, Shi Shuai immediately pounced on the cloth bag on the ground. The others made no move, but the Girl in the painting was closest and took a step forward, swinging her backpack for a home run, and the bag flew away.
Shi Shuai cursed and chased after it, and the Prop Fish followed. Shortly, the Player in the room squeezed out of the nearby window hole with an eccentric posture, landed while holding the bag with another Prop Fish behind him.
Apparently, he had taken the other bag too, but neither was an egg surprise.
"Catch!" He reused his trick, trying to throw the bag to Xu Huo and his group. 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞
Unfortunately, no one caught it this time, and Ai Jiangping had already made a hole in the outside window to toss the bag directly out.
Unfortunately, it didn’t succeed; the Player inside was evidently a Super Evolver. With a raise of his hand, he retrieved the bag he’d thrown.
Shi Shuai had already found the bag and turned to leave, and squeezed in the middle were Xu Huo and his group, looking at the people and fish on both sides, tacitly scattering and escaping.
That Player was directly flung open by Tang Xian’s Defense Prop, while Xu Huo’s side, Shi Shuai, was comparatively miserable, kicked by the Girl in the painting and rolling down the corridor with the Defensive Barrier for over a dozen meters.
The chase and escape between fish and people began.
