Chapter 1025 - 24: Unlock
The Deadwood Titan with full Demigod Divine Power is Li Ang’s strongest combat form,
and it’s the most powerful trump card he has unveiled so far,
while also being one of the main power systems he intends to follow in the future (the other system is Psychic Abilities).
It’s impossible to give up now.
It’s good, but it can’t be used.
Slightly regretful, Li Ang put down the cube and turned his gaze back to the pale flame form of the [False God Remnant Flame].
"It requires the essence of a divine creature to change..."
Musing for a moment, Li Ang left the room, walking on invisible steps, he ascended above the cruise ship.
The sea breeze blew against his face,
Li Ang held the pale flame in his hands, slowly infusing it with Divine Power.
points, 100 points, 150 points....
The pale flame suddenly flickered and ignited, consuming the meager Divine Power that had just been accumulated in the blink of an eye,
even the Divine Mark itself felt a sense of being absorbed and plundered into nothingness.
Vision fragments flashed before Li Ang’s eyes, dreamlike and illusory,
with a "snap," he abruptly tore his hands apart, breaking the Divine Power connection,
a clear sense of depletion transmitted through his limbs and bones.
The Divine Mark hidden beneath his skin flickered for a moment, finally subsiding again, fortunately showing no signs of weakening or change.
Looking once more at the restoration progress bar of the divine essence of [False God Remnant Flame],
it changed from 0/500,
to 1/500.
"What was that just now..."
Li Ang took a deep breath. When he injected his form’s essence into the False God Remnant Flame just now, he heard a cacophony of intricate and jumbled sounds,
and saw a plethora of chaotic illusion fragments, his entire mind in a stupor,
if not for the [Iron Will] ability from the Mental Ability Enchantment Series, he might still be lost in the illusions, unable to extricate himself.
"Those illusions... seem to be memories related to the [False God Remnant Flame]?"
Li Ang pondered for a moment. The illusion fragments he saw were vast in range,
featuring primitive humans dressed in animal skins, dancing frantically around bonfires and dark megaliths;
giant sea creatures slowly swimming in the depths, visible only as imposing shadows beneath the sea;
burning meteors falling from the sky;
a child crouched on a doorstep, drooling, mumbling that they saw Nuwa mending the sky;
these fragments flashed by quickly, containing very little information and with no apparent connection to each other,
the only useful image was of—
a gale that covered the sky, transforming into the shape of a headless giant, roaring and charging at a beast tide on the plains (made up of tens of thousands of grotesque magical beasts),
following the headless gale giant was a group of indigenous people riding large lizards.
These indigenous people had dark skin and short statures, wielding obsidian blades with fervent expressions, their skin on their faces and bodies pierced open, with dark holes,
ranging from five or six, to over ten, or even more than twenty.
Li Ang didn’t know whether this scene had ever happened at some point in real-world history,
but when he immersed his mind into the scene, he vaguely heard the ubiquitous roar of the gale giant, urging his followers to slaughter, wage war, and conquer.
With the gale giant’s roar, the expressions on the indigenous people’s faces grew even more fervent,
releasing vivid gales from the dark holes on their bodies, sweeping away the magical beast tide at the forefront.
"..."
Li Ang slowly opened his eyes, roughly estimating that the number of indigenous people amounted to over thirty thousand.
These indigenous people were merely mortal bodies, yet they could use extraordinary powers on a large scale. The only possibility was that the gale giant they worshiped distributed power to his followers.
"Petitioners..."
Li Ang mused, in the theory of mysticism,
deities can collect Power of Faith from their followers,
and some followers who receive divine recognition can borrow a portion of Divine Power from the deities they worship.
More devout and fervent believers are capable of performing miraculous Divine Arts,
healing the injured, harming enemies, taming wild beasts, controlling water currents;
and those most devout believers will become entities known as [Petitioners], entering the God’s Kingdom after death, serving the deities, enjoying eternal bliss, and providing a constant stream of high-quality Power of Faith.
"Perhaps I can imitate the behavior of the headless gale giant from the memory fragments, distributing Divine Power so that my followers can perform Divine Arts?"
Li Ang muttered thoughtfully.
Before this, he was able to use his followers as nodes, transmitting Divine Power remotely to the area around his followers, performing a few Divine Arts.
However, these Divine Arts consumed an enormous amount of power, and fundamentally, were still actively cast by him, lacking intelligence.
And now...
Frowning, Li Ang imitated the roar of the gale giant from the memory fragments,
transmitting his will to the Brain Worm Double Blade Turkey far below in the deep sea.
"!!!"
The Double Blade Turkey, camouflaged as a large manta ray and moving slowly, sensed the descent of the creator’s will, trembling all over, too excited to speak.
"Exert the power I have given you."
Li Ang’s solemn and majestic voice echoed in the Double Blade Turkey’s mind,
and the brain worm disguised as a manta ray immediately dived into the trench, according to the sense from the unknown, channeling its fervent worship of the flesh and the Lord of the Swamp toward the trench rock.
Buzz—
The trench rock trembled slightly, 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺
algae residing in the rocky crevices rapidly grew, breaking through the rock, transforming into countless tendrils extending upward, enveloping a passing school of fish.
The Divine Arts, successfully cast.
Li Ang’s eyes brightened, feeling that his own Divine Power slightly decreased by a trifling amount, saving much compared to the original high-cost remote Divine Arts.
"Originally, the Divine Arts used all of my Divine Power,
but now, I can let the Power of Faith complete the conversion within my followers.
By expending only a minimal amount of my own Divine Power, my followers can cast powerful Divine Arts. It’s equivalent to letting the followers function as batteries."
Li Ang mused, retracting the pale flame, returning to the cruise ship guest room.
Special units like the Bug Nest Tyrant, with their inherently strong combat ability, don’t rely on Divine Arts,
but ordinary human followers who support the flesh and swamp pillar in the real world can be won over, monitored, and controlled through Divine Arts.
"It seems the [False God Remnant Flame], aside from painting a grand vision for the future, does have some use at the current stage,
by filling more divine essence, more memory fragments can be unlocked,
supplementing my fragmented knowledge on the path to godhood."
Back in the guest room, Li Ang sat pensively before the computer desk.
The two most important acquisitions at the current stage have already been summarized, and the materials seized from the [Night is Coming] script task can be appraised and explored later in the Game Square.
"Come to think of it, it seems I haven’t checked the forum today."
Li Ang smacked his lips, turned on the computer, logged into the player forum, and immediately saw a slew of posts about the changes in Yin City.
