Chapter 3604: Learning the Two Techniques

Alex practiced the Falling Rain Blossom technique first. He sat before Bladedance and learned the technique in a matter of hours. When his Sword Qi began forming in the sky and dropping to the ground, Bladedance could only watch in awe at just how quickly he had managed to learn it.

At the moment, the rain he made caused the ground to be completely destroyed, so he needed to train some more so he could at least control the level of destruction he brought forth.

In the case of Bladedance, her Sword Qi that fell from above would disappear the moment they hit the ground, very rarely damaging the floor at all. So, Alex needed to train and become proficient in his technique until he could do the same.

It took Alex a few more days to gain enough control over his technique, but in doing so, he had severely weakened it. The rain that fell only came in a small area around him, and when he tried to expand it, the density of his Sword Qi dropped.

Bladedance watched from the side, seeing all of the issues. Either he could make a proper rainfall in only a few meters around him, or he could make it wide but not be anything more than a shower. Seeing him try harder, she only shook her head.

"You’re perfectly fine as you are," she explained. "It will be impossible for you to do what I can do since there’s only so much Sword Qi you can generate at once. Just keep practicing and you will improve on your own."

Alex thought for a moment and nodded. Perhaps comparing himself to the literal strongest swordsman in the entire world was not a good idea. Compared to a woman in the Celestial realm, what he was doing was already good enough.

"You’re also new to the path of Sword Heart. While you have gained some understanding into Dao Sword, that does not mean that you’ve fully accustomed yourself to using your Sword Heart. Complete that and you are sure to grow."

Alex nodded to her and continued training.

The practice for the Falling Rain Blossom technique lasted for a few more days before Alex moved on to the Sword Heart Breaker. Compared to the first one, this one seemed infinitely easier.

The Sword Heart Breaker required a person to take all the Sword Qi that would form through a Sword Domain and place it around their sword. Depending on the amount of their Sword Qi, the sword would lengthen by a certain amount.

The most difficult aspect of this technique was being able to take control of one’s Sword Qi in a Sword Domain and make it immobile by changing its shape into a sword.

Perhaps because he already did something similar with the Spiritual Providence technique, where he formed the shape of the sword using his Spiritual energy, he had an easier time transforming his Sword Qi.

It took him a day to learn the technique, and then another day to use it immediately, the speed at which he learned the technique baffled Bladedance even more this time as the Sword Heart Breaker was supposed to be the harder of the two techniques.

Alex took a deep breath and formed the Sword Heart Breaker using Midnight. His sword shined bright white at first, keeping its natural length. Then, when he used his Sword Heart while using the technique at the same time, the Sword Qi coalesced around the sword, slowly making it appear as though the sword had somehow grown.

While Bladedance’s sword had easily grown by over a hundred times due to her technique, Alex barely managed to extend his sword by 5 times. Compared to Bladedance, it was certainly pitiful, but there was nothing he could do as an Immortal. He was already doing the best he could.

Bladedance trained Alex through practice matches where she forced him to use those techniques interchangeably. She wanted to make him better at using the technique at the blink of an eye, and she was beginning to succeed in it.

Alex could also notice himself getting better and better by the day. He had already done the majority of the improvement he could do by simply training rigorously, so now all that remained was for him to train the techniques at his own leisure.

Before leaving the training area, Alex asked one last question regarding the two techniques he had come to learn.

"Since the two techniques use my Sword Heart, will they also work with my Dao Sword when I finally begin learning it?"

Bladedance nodded. "That is one of the primary benefits of this technique directly using the Sword Heart instead of it being a regular technique," she explained. "Any changes that happen to your Sword Heart are reflected through this technique, which involves all the improvements you have yet to go through."

Hearing as much, Alex couldn’t help but wonder how the Falling Rain Blossom and Sword Heart Breaker would transform once he learned his Dao Sword. His plan for his first Dao Sword had to do with the Sun Fire anyway, so he might even find that out soon enough.

’I really need to finish learning the Sun Fire as soon as I can,’ he thought.

Alex finally took his leave, leaving the training area. Bladedance reminded him to train all on his own. She would be returning to her cultivation session once again, so she wouldn’t get to help him for a decade or two at least.

Alex nodded, accepting his master’s words. He wondered how much better she was doing from back in the day. From what he understood, Bladedance’s cultivation base had regressed from whatever it was before to the start of the Celestial realm.

As such, she had to cultivate all over again to reach the realm she previously was. Alex didn’t know how much easier it would be this time around since she had already gone through this, but one could only pray.

For now, Alex needed to focus on himself. He too had to learn the Sun Fire soon enough.
